INCORRECT: The image was probably photoshopped." - greenlight2001, on 10/12/2007, -4/+135The tree could have been rigged with an IED... he was smart to keep moving.

- Supurcell, on 10/12/2007, -2/+61It's the lazy people who drive innovation. The lazy man doesn't want to work, but when he's forced to, he'll do anything he can to make his life easier. Look around the house and notice all the things that make your life easier, they were all invented by lazy people. The electric can opener, power saw, lighter, digital clock, all things made because someone was too lazy to do the manual alternative.
- SultanTravi, on 10/12/2007, -11/+62"Laziest worker"
Ha, you clearly haven't seen me "work." - DoodleMaster, on 10/12/2007, -2/+52at least he put forth the effort to go around the log instead of over it :|
- grevvvvvv, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33A SEP field was deployed.
- Noah0504, on 10/12/2007, -6/+28I don't know if that's anything to gloat about. ;)
- Jdban, on 10/12/2007, -6/+27Probably somebody noticed a line drawing error, put a branch there and took a picture.
- ja1217, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Reminds me of an article I saw in my local paper once.
PennDOT decided it was easier to pave over a dead deer than it was to move it first. - mrgono3, on 10/12/2007, -13/+27@qwiggalo
How about lol
and ever heard of the little green thumbs up sign on a comment? - Charron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Y'know, I've been questioning the validity of that PennDOT story, since it kinda implies that PennDOT was working. I can't make that leap of faith.
- wutname1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14In his defense (most likely get digged down but oh well)
http://digg.com/tech_news/Adobe_uses_photoshop_as_a_verb_ON_THEIR_OWN_SITE - Scoobies, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13If such a suspicious looking dead tree was found in Boston, it would have been blown up.
- wutname1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11My idea of work is bring laptop to work and sit on digg
- zetec, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12this picture is so old it came with the internet
- lintmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Usually, trucks don't drive themselves.

The guy paint machine operator would probably have gotten in trouble for doing the stick remover's job. - sirpsychosexy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4dugg for "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" reference
- dweeb79, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Well when painting lines they are driving a truck, I am not saying that everyone would do this, but I am saying that a vast majority of people would do that.
- inukki, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7just like my lunch today, it looks fake
- r0x0r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I think he gimped the image
- manvsmonster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Okay... I think today I am seeing a bizarre barrage of really old "internet gem" type stuff being recycled onto the site.
- swordedge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2When I was a kid, they repaved the road infront of the house. No, they did NOT move the dead skunk. They paved over it leaving a large lump in the road. Two days later, it was a pot hole. Praise Be to PennDot, the work crew where they have ten people sent to a job. One does the work, one sleeps on the steering wheel of the roller machine, and 8 supervise with their eyes shut.

Nothing except that qwiggalo found it funny.
I dont know if you dugg the story about adobe and the correct uses of Photoshop. u prolly didnt so u dont get it
here:
http://digg.com/tech_news/Adobe_The_Photoshop_trademark_must_never_be_used_as_a_verb - BlueIndependent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's funny, but that could've been photoshopped easily. Also, roads are painted using painting macines mounted to utility trucks. I doubt that a road crew found time to paint around a tree branch while they were tooling down the road. The device that lays the paint probably can't even be articulated much to do something like that.
- allthecool, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2MS at work again. : )
- shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1man you must be crazy... you should probably tell people that in so manner so even if they just see your name then they will know.
- patrik610, on 02/19/2008, -0/+0Idea is great. No question about that. Guy obviously messed up his job no matter what.
http://designstylesnewsfast.info - jer2eydevil88, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1or maybe they didn't move it because they had reason to suspect that it might blow up if moved...
- Silent2Stylyn, on 03/17/2008, -0/+0classic
- etechonline2002, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2the best part is the branch is still there.
- chaosdude78, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6Happened to a road near my house last fall, there was a small pile of leaves that were slightly over the original line and the new line created a bubble around where the pile was. People are so lazy these days.

- superlad, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2for real though, ive seen this picture a million times, but it does show how lazy we really are now.
- bioncinola, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5you guys dont understand..
the line maker mchine is a huge contraption and the worker is sitting like 10 feet off the ground at the top.. also, it automatically paints and follows the edge of the road. so very likely he couldnt even see the branch at the bottom as it passed beneath his huge machine. also road painting is sometimes done at night so yea its hard to see anything..
PLS HAVE MERCY!!!! MERCY MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! * sob * T_T - secondimpact, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3hahah that joke never gets old!
especially when you spell photoshopped incorrectly! - akira117, on 10/12/2007, -9/+8Dugg, but I disagree with the statement provided, it should be: "This photo demonstrates how lazy some people are."
