- dpknc84, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18"Damn Cool Pics" has this annoying habit where they like to post pictures and _never_ give credit where it's due.
- Shuk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15These are... AMAZING: Photo Illusions Pics!
Dugg for the pics and for the dignified title! - mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Digital camera. It's all the rage these days..
- androo002345, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8These pics would've been cool without that guy sticking all of that crap in the way!
"Hey jerk, move your fat fingers and let me see some scenery!" - Alchemeron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7These photos are blatently stolen from the original author, with zero attribution. But I hope this guy's blog makes a lot of money from Google ads!
- StellarlyAstral, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I'm crushing your head!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Killing windmills FTW
- dpknc84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Michael Hughes, see flickr link at top of comments for more details.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Are you serious? How is it insensitive to show an old photo of the NY skyline? I found it quite sentimental actually..
- raindogmx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Please bury my previous comment. Those aren't photoshopped! My brain is.
- seks03, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is a great Idea, some of these are very well done. Thanks for sharing them with us.
- dominasian, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8these are damn cool, traveling the world for the sole purpose of taking funny/cool pictures.
i was expecting one at the end where he makes it looks like he making moves on Natalie Portman.
what a waste of such great talent - rubenito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3As said before,

It's Waterloo in Belgium - nismo334, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I agree, I think that was the best one, just because it actually shows some culture, the rest are very touristy.
- crash331, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I really like this one
http://bp0.blogger.com/_mmBw3uzPnJI/Rd4A-ixiMWI/AAAAAAAABE8/QYxgL7dipyA/s1600-h/photo_illusions_39.jpg - Zoshchenko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2maram500's brain is an illusion. It obviously doesn't exist.
- chowderdick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i wonder if #39 was pre or post 9/11
- Sifl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Was that picture of the buried cars in Amarillo?
It is http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/TXAMAcadillac.html - feross, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I knew exactly what he meant and what to expect with that description... hmm is that a good thing?
- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dude probably had to go to Lubbock for that Buddy Holly snap...poor guy.
- tf5bassist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Almost not dugg for the stolen material.
But dugg because Michael Hughes is ***** amazing. - The_Hidden_Ice, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dugg for one of my classbuildings in the trolley pic.
- Hubris, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1We should post some complaints in the comments at the blog....that people are noting the theft.
- Sifl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. (sorry for the double post)

Because it's the most depressing? - samdu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cool! I used to be one of the designers for the company that made the little wooden houses that the photographer used in one of the photos. Company went out of business, unfortunately. Shelia's Inc. was the name. We made replicas of houses from all over the world. When I started, they were using a router to cut the houses out of MDF. Eventually the company invested in a bitchin' cool laser which allowed much more accurate, smaller cuts.
- Supernova36, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And all rights are reserved, but that clearly hasn't stopped that blogger simply stealing them.
- Azap, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2What is: things to do with to much free time?
- Kickm3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Of course it's touristy, it has much more impact when we know the buildings, or the cliché (windmills in Nederlands, Bobbies in GB etc). Really nice stuff.
And WHO CARES whether it's been photoshopped or not ? - Ngai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think this one is the best one...
http://bp0.blogger.com/_mmBw3uzPnJI/Rd4A-ixiMWI/AAAAAAAABE8/QYxgL7dipyA/s1600/photo_illusions_39.jpg - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I wonder if he got home and was like... "crap, I only took pictures of my postcards"
- ReubADoob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Again MORE proof we need a photos category on Digg
- maverick_swl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Insensitive? How about we remember them for what they were, and what happened. You saying its insensitive to show it, that just says how weak you are.
- verbose, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Exactly. That fat, dirty, nail-bitten stump ruins every shot.
- johnvid, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I have seen this idea done before in various ways, this idea with moving video would be even cooler (makes me want to copy the idea in some way), this series of still pics is a really COOL collection, the photographer gets around a bit, good for him, and has a good collection of souvineers as well as the good pics. Though i dont know if I could be bothered to make the souvineers if I couldn't find a suitable one in the shops.
- MixMastaMetal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1haha, these are awesome. I remember seeing some similar to this on Digg a while ago, but not this many and none this cool. Nice find!
- Lacero, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I agree.
- MindFlayer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Does anyone know who originally took these pictures? I hate it when things like this go unattributed.
- blahtastic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Um...no. You fail. Though the lighthouse one has a suspicious angle to it (it looks too correct for some reason, aside from the base of it that is), and if it wasn't in such a big collection I might suspect it to be.
- rodbibeau, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2
Quoting raindogmx
"
"these are damn cool, traveling the world for the sole purpose of taking funny/cool pictures."
Sorry to disapoint you but those are clearly photoshopped; which doesn't take the merit off them.
Way cool and original. Dugg.
"
I am with you on this. They are clearly photoshopped in there. The hand is the same, no change in skin tone as one would expect due to long hours in the sun. The objects are held too precisely in the background to be taken by hand. The mini soccer ball one would roll right off.
Clearly photoshopped. - fxspec06, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3why blame it on photoshop, stop being ignorant and show some respect for the author. there are some great pics here
- DarkLion700, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice. most of those are really clever. Great post
- av4rice, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Most, if not all of these, were in that older story
- DaveManDave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0one word : PHOTSHOP.........SARCASM
