- Myztry, on 01/22/2009, -0/+4LOL. Parrots can't put together a simple sentence but how many 3 year old's can convincingly imitate a whistle, a dog or even a chainsaw.
- inactive, on 01/22/2009, -1/+5well done on an epic comment
- iguanapunk, on 01/22/2009, -0/+3They didn't ban him for repeating a racist attack on the black players!
- Finalreminder, on 01/22/2009, -0/+33rd times in three days I've encountered that sketch in one form or another. Great comedy
- Hodor, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3I liked the parrot last week who was imitating its owners voice to taunt the other pets... this one is a close second.
did it also yell "OY OY OY" or something? - inactive, on 01/22/2009, -0/+3LOL, that story made my day.
- magneteye, on 01/22/2009, -0/+2You let a parrot into the game, wtf do you expect!?
- MacParrot, on 01/22/2009, -0/+2I wondered why they wouldn't let me in
- thedivinelyevil, on 01/22/2009, -0/+2haha. yea, the typo stood out to me more than the article itself. i thought it was the submitter's error, until i opened the article!
- AnGryTreE, on 01/22/2009, -0/+2Nail me to my perch! That's the best line all week Tik!
- inactive, on 01/22/2009, -0/+2You can laugh every now and then, I promise it won't kill you... I've done it a few times myself.
- tymme, on 01/22/2009, -0/+2Couldn't be; they stun too easily.
- snyff, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1I think there's probably an video, but you might have to wait until an user puts it on YouTube.

- rhysboy84, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1Bet the owner is as sick as a parrot!

- AnGryTreE, on 01/22/2009, -1/+2Now all the poor soccer loving pirate can do is beat the other team's fans over the head with his wooden leg.
Ninja soccer officials suck. - JeffLongoria, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1"I didn't mind at first. But then every time I blew my whistle the bird made exactly the same sound."
LOL - Eastcoastsurfer, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1That was one ruffled ref.
- Jerky1312, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1The football field at Brooklyn College has parrot nests on each of the lighting fixtures, but I don't think they imitate the whistles during the games...

- GawtMilk, on 01/24/2009, -0/+1A digg to the first person who shows a parrot saying "GOOOOAAAALLLLLL!"
- Myztry, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1Parrots. Yes. Humans. No.
- GawtMilk, on 01/24/2009, -0/+1Amoeba -> Parrots -> Humans
Seems reasonable. - IKORKYI, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1cheater
- pudds, on 01/22/2009, -2/+2Soccer.
- Finalreminder, on 01/22/2009, -1/+1Brilliant story!
- Firstdaughter, on 01/23/2009, -0/+0I have seven parrots ranging from macaw to cockatiel size - most of which were adopted from rescues. There isn't a single day that I don't wake up thankful that they are in my life. Unless you've had a parrot love you, you wouldn't understand.
I love this story bc parrots are so intelligent and love to entertain for attention. The ref getting angry and the response to the parrot's whistle only encouraged him to whistle more!
:D - TheBigL481, on 01/22/2009, -4/+1Ugh, ***** the Daily Telegraph. Shouldn't a supposed broadsheet newspaper be giving us indepth analysis of you know, subjects that actually affect the world?!
- vio3, on 01/22/2009, -4/+0That's just too cute. Parrots are so interesting. Could they be the missing link in our evolution? :P Whatever they are or where ever they came from, they're adorable :)
What is Digg?
