Data Protection Act - States that any child under the age of 16 must have a "mature" understanding of what is being done and why.
Human Rights Act (Article 8) - States all persons have a right to privacy without interference from -any- public authority.
Children's Act - Clearly defines the role of parents and legal guardians with regards to granting informed consent for minors.
