- Heggy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+154I was hoping for something funny to comment on but this isn't funny, that's just painful.
- luke16, on 10/10/2007, -7/+137Could of been worse e.g. fork in eye
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+133Holy Crap! I DID NOT need to see that picture.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+122Ow, Son of a.....!
- woojoo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+117Should've used a spork...
- doctorfungi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+114Good to see the kid ended up ok.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/10998060@N00/1040976611/in/photostream/ - celeb, on 10/10/2007, -3/+109The kid looks reasonably calm for having a fork through his nose. Definitely a brave little kid. Glad to see he's ok.
- gravelocity, on 10/10/2007, -0/+63So does this mean he will never have to wear Breath Rite Nasal Strips? Watch out when he sneezes.
- spoiled1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+59Man, I would hate to have three more nostrils o_O
- gcnaddict, on 10/10/2007, -0/+49She is in a hospital (based on the picture alone anyway)
- JackSrenton, on 10/10/2007, -14/+50Thats what you get for liking the TWINS
- gcnaddict, on 10/10/2007, -2/+38For the record, it wasn't shopped. Here's a followup: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10998060@N00/1040976611/in/photostream/
- fnaqzna, on 10/10/2007, -2/+32I laughed.
See you in hell. - tmbrwolf19, on 10/10/2007, -1/+29Aww geeze, poor little guy!!
I don't even think I could handle that happening even as an adult! - pixelfox, on 10/10/2007, -9/+35that kid doesn't realize how lucky he is. Imagine he was born into a family of social Darwinists...
"hmm... the fork didn't quite kill him... is he still worth it or no?" - Kardde, on 10/10/2007, -3/+27I laughed.
Is that wrong? - edz0nk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25Or even worse;
One of my first girlfriends was blind on one eye and had a big scar just on the side of the other.
When she was four she was curling the string of a xmas present with a scissor and slipped...
I start blinking when ever i think about how that must have felt. - gl77, on 03/31/2008, -1/+23Homer: Oh, what am I going to do?
Moe: Uh, why don't you invite him over. Turn him from an enemy to a friend. Then when he's not expecting it … bam! … the ol' fork in the eye.
Homer: Do you think it might work without the fork in the eye?
Moe: There's always a first time. - CatalystGhost, on 10/10/2007, -0/+22Three things. 1) It's right on the edge of the hard area. 2) That hard area is cartilage, not bone. Cartilage is more easily broken or damaged. That's why it's easy to get -and fix- a broken nose. Additionally, cartilage doesn't have blood vessels. 3) I'm not entirely certain, but I think that in a child that age, the cartilage isn't even fully developed. Again, not sure.
- xerexes1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+23How the hell did that happen? Seriously, did he miss his mouth?
- 703_KN33, on 10/10/2007, -0/+20Holy Nose Batman!
- raober, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20This is up on snopes.com already..they can't tell if it's real or fake yet.
- NeoNevermore, on 10/10/2007, -2/+21Don't you mean... forking sick?
Commence to burying - Lyanto, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18Our noses are made mostly of cartilage, which have little to no blood. You can tell they're in a hospital, any blood probably coagulated and the thing swelled.
- Oomsoup, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17Looks real to me, especially with the follow-up pic. If you think kids don't do these sorts of things you must have never had children. Also it looks like it was taken AT the hospital, so they were probably already told it will be ok and the fork was likely removed right after this photo.
- UtahApocalyse, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18I think that is AT the hospital
- JrGhoull, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15seeing as how theres an after photo i'm thinking its real
- reiner15, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13What could the mother ever gain by faking a fork going through her sons nose?
- BDCanuck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12That's why my kids only eat soup.
- spectre_25gt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11And with a hell of a story to tell.
- monsterenergy, on 10/10/2007, -10/+21your ***** sick.
- coreytn81, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11"[PIC] This is Why You Don't Run With Sharp Objects" did you think it was going to be a lolcat with a cute caption with a headline like that?
- Piggycow, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15How does an after photo prove it's real? You can't just paint 3 dots on some kids nose? Not saying it's fake but the fact there's more than 1 photo proves nothing
- Hayaemsay, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Great way to pick up chicks....
"I tripped and fell on a fork" - cusoman, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13Hey now, the Twins are underdogs, everyone loves us... this just proves that even more. I mean, you feel for the poor kid, don't you?
- InetRoadkill, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9It's at a hospital. You can see the oxygen supply on the wall behind them.
- jjb123, on 10/10/2007, -5/+13I don't mean to sound like a douche bag here, but how come whenever an unfortunate accident happens everyone involved is all of a sudden brave? Still, that would hurt like hell.
- voetsjoeba, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8What do you want her to do ? Freak out so the kid freaks out even more ? Pull it out and possibly destroy his nose forever ? She's doing the right thing, really.
- pbaehr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Well, they're reasonably sharp, and then theres the part where they are objects...
- po43292, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11or Christian Scientists...."he's fine. The lord will take care of him."
- drgmdp, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8he said that it wouldn't hurt at all to learn a second language
- bartofdahammer, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10when I was 4 I almost got a fork in the eye, and when i say almost I mean basically if it was a millimetre lower I wouldn't be able to see out of my one eye. I closed my just before I got forked and it ended up hitting in the space between the eyeball and the socket, hurt like hell, my dad was cursing my uncle off, we were playing some game, and idk how but I ended up getting forked.
- cusoman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Something like "Oh no! Poor child... I hope that you can recover very soon"
- piratearggghhh, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Ouch - At least the pic doesn't show gushing blood.
- quarkie, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9I don't know Spanish at all, but based on the above posts I think its something like:
"Oh the poor kid, I hope he can recover soon" - dallyp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Who else just grabbed their nose?
- AnotherBrian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5They ARE IN a hospital.
Look at the bed and the panels on the wall. - DeskFlyer, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Gesundheit!
- itwasthursday, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Yet, you did. And you'll probably forget it by the time you see the next [PIC] heh~
