- Digitalicious, on 10/11/2007, -8/+201The underwater tubes refer to the internet connection between mainland America and Hawaii. This is really a warning not to stand on them... They'll clog.
- Lyanto, on 10/11/2007, -5/+117Hey guys, let's go check this out... This sign here clearly indicates that whatever's beyond this point is extreme!
- cindylauper, on 10/11/2007, -6/+113I don't get it? Whose afraid of "extreme dancing?"
- Worldchrisis, on 10/11/2007, -3/+60There are no points on that sign, it has rounded corners.
- GruntSquaThrust, on 10/11/2007, -5/+53Its no way near the best
- nymphetamine, on 10/11/2007, -4/+47I am.
- oMeSSiaHo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+35When you go to Yellowstone there are all kinds of cool warning signs. When you go to check out the geysers and vents they have signs warning you to stay on the paths. They say that you will fall in and be boiled alive. At the campsites they have warnings on the picnic tables telling you that if you dont pack up your food bears will come and eat you. It's surprising how frank and vivid the warnings are.
- Toon, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32I know of a certain toddler with a permanent Nike swoosh on her chin who would answer affirmative to this question.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceNf-11-ddI - gibbles, on 10/11/2007, -3/+32I took a picture of this exact sign when I went to Hawaii. The sign was still mounted to its pole in the dried lava bed.
- benplaut, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19I live on the Big Island... these signs are to be taken seriously...
Lava shelfs are a very dangerous business... - nreynolds, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16uhm..... we already have it.
- jpwhitmore, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15If you are so sick and tired of it why do you submit it?

http://digg.com/politics/Digg_Hates_Ron_Paul - DimensionalPunk, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15Man some people are easily amused.
- Urusai, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Some genius actually ran into a hot spring to save a dog once. Both were boiled alive, it's a Darwin Award nominee, check it out. That's why they have signs, because people are clueless and having a sign may not stop the clueless people but it mitigates the lawsuit by the stupid relatives.
- HarryHunt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Because they're comfy?
- amdahlj, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9I don't have a picture of that sign... but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!
- bagboyrebel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I remember seeing that video on the news. They were talking about how it shouldn't be considered funny, but they just kept showing it over and over.
- jeriqo, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10I'm sorry to tell you, but you are stupid.
- hags, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8It's one thing to complain about blogspam when it's regurgitated content from elsewhere...
This looks to be new content the guy put up on his own blog, not really something to complain about. - specialK16, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7You suck.
- Firehed, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7How is linking to the blog of the author who took the picture (as noted by the watermark) blogspam?
And I very much doubt that Digg could take down something powered by Google. - Murdats, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5self heating benches?
- kelsosmythe, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7I'm walking along a cooled lava field....
*****.
Where was the warning sign? - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5You do realize the image is hosted with Blogger... As in it's hosted on Google servers. It's not going down any time soon.
- IphtashuFitz, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7I may have a picture of this sign also (it's been many years since I've been there). I also have pictures of some of the various roads in the area that now disappear into old lava flows. Pretty amazing stuff to see out there.
- Fanrir, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7What the heck happened to the top of the sign? Looks like it got grazed by a 30mm or something.
- sh860, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5this is a sign near the major active lava flow in hawaii ( the main island). the whole area is made up of newly formed land ( which as the sign says, is pretty dangerous) and at night you can see the orange lava flow all the way down to the ocean. what's even more dangerous than the fact that the land you're standing on might collapse is that when the lava hits the water it creates a gas composed of sulfur and tiny pieces of glass. silicosis anyone?
- aquadoctorbob, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Bright colors, big fonts, rounded corners... yep, it's Sign 2.0 all right.
- skulljar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Why would anyone sit on a lava bench?
- Exploit, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5A sign warning you of the danger of lava with one of its corners damaged by probably lava itself. How better can this get?
- mikelieman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3A dog’s got personality and personality goes a long way.
- napsack, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I've been looking for a news article all over. All I find are blog spam posts. I'm really interested on the outcome.
- Commandinateur, on 10/11/2007, -6/+9The name of the picture is extreme damage...
shouldn't it be extreme danger? - bbardlbradd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It never said it was "funny"... but it's definitely not the best warning sign ever...
- SierraAlpha, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Bury this..
- resplence, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3Lr70lwaVg

- ArthurSucks, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Digg Effect? On something powered by Google? Never seen it happen.

Lava shelfs - Serious business. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2another sign I saw said "Bugs" - it was covered with BUGS!!!!
- thebaconmonster, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4im not to sure why he's being dugg down, but I'm hell of a lot more likely to save my precious dog than some dude who's going to end up being a douche-bag
- yahoofrom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1your comment have a point. it has pointy corners.
- FurtThePirate, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2well if there was a picture section I'm sure this would be in it instead...
- FizixMan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I care. I'm running broadband too, but I guess I'm just have this thing about idiots on the Internet.
- Neostylez, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1ive seen that sign i dont find it very funny really lol
- RussellDovey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I hear you and agree, but the point is that if the dog's in there, IT'S DEAD ALREADY.
