Everyone's on a first name basis with the CEO, and you never feel like the people above you on the corporate ladder are unapproachable. Sure beats working for some sort of OmniMegaGlobalCorp where corporate headquarters might be on another continent.

In a week or two I'll even get to start contributing to my IRA (I'll have been working with the company for 1 year then), and they'll be matching my contribution up to a certain percentage of my salary. It may not be true of the entire industry, but I'm very happy where I am.

Not all huge companies suck, and not all small companies are great to work for. However, things are skewed towards larger companies being top-heavy, and thus they tend to end up like the linked picture indicates more often than smaller companies.
