- playerslight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+173You're a brave man to google "tree goat".
- probFake, on 10/12/2007, -4/+131Fake, goats usually wear jetpacks when doing this.
- jocnnor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+75Mommy. Where do goats come from?
They grow on trees dear. - binky79, on 10/12/2007, -1/+61You probably wouldn't want to park your car under a tree that's full of those things. Try explaining that to an insurance company. "No, no, no, really, it was tree goats."
- gaijin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+46Yes, but how much do you have to drink to be able to take pictures of your hallucinations?
- IvanB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+32This is getting weirder and weirder:

Hmmmmm. - ZippidyDoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31:( every time I see goats it reminds me of goatse. Damn mental scars.
- countmandible, on 11/15/2007, -0/+29Kind of reminds me of the endangered pacific northwest tree octopus:
http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/ - maehem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Maybe they saw the Chupa Cabra coming?
- Fracture98, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18It's my considered opinion that they're nestin'.
As you can see, they don't so much fly... as plummet. - Ystig, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20Tourist: Good afternoon.
Shepherd: Afternoon
Tourist: Ah, lovely day isn't it?
Shepherd: Eh, 'tis that.
Tourist: You here on holiday?
Shepherd: Nope, I live 'ere.
Tourist: Oh, good for you. Uh...those ARE sheep aren't they?
Shepherd: Yeh.
Tourist: Hmm, thought they were. Only, what are they doing up in the trees?
Shepherd: A fair question and one that in recent weeks 'as been much on my mind. It's my considered opinion that they're nestin'.
Tourist: Nesting?
Shepherd: Aye.
Tourist: Like birds?
Shepherd: Exactly. It's my belief that these sheep are laborin' under the misapprehension that they're birds. Observe their be'avior. Take for a start the sheeps' tendency to 'op about the field on their 'ind legs. Now witness their attempts to fly from tree to tree. Notice that they do not so much fly as plummet.
(Baaa baaa... flap flap flap... whoosh... thud.)
Tourist: Yes, but why do they think they're birds?
Shepherd: Another fair question. One thing is for sure, the sheep is not a creature of the air. They have enormous difficulty in the comparatively simple act of perchin'. (Baaa baaa... flap flap flap... whoosh... thud.) Trouble is, sheep are very dim. Once they get an idea in their 'eads, there's no shiftin' it.
Tourist: But where did they get the idea?
Shepherd: From Harold. He's that most dangerous of creatures, a clever sheep. 'e's realized that a sheep's life consists of standin' around for a few months and then bein' eaten. And that's a depressing prospect for an ambitious sheep.
Tourist: Well why don't just remove Harold?
Shepherd: Because of the enormous commercial possibilities should he succeed. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16.. and then there's the droppings.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Wow, that must've taken a lot of staples to get those things to stick up there.
- monergism, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Many animals exist outside of the zoo.
- EggNogIceCream, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Good thing Newton didnt sit under an Argan tree.
- bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Did you look at the design?
It's an original artwork.. it's not the photograph - Zique, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Captions:
" Viljad on valminud!" - fruits are ripe (I think, Estonian isn't my best language)
"Meie nopime puu otsast õunu, pirne, ploome jms - marokolased aga kitsi! :p" - we pick up apples and plums from trees, Moroccans goats - Ascendant, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12You gotta admit, though- The Tree Goats would be an excellent name for a rock band.
- brains, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10yes, they can climb better. goats kick ass. when i was hiking one time, we had some mountain goats on ledges above knocking rocks down on us. bastards.
- GeekedAtBirth, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11And they get up there...how? Goats can climb trees better than me, there's something wrong with this. :)
- jbus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11I've never seen goats in trees, but this doesn't seem too unusual given that they love to climb on just about everything. I remember as a kid at my Great Grand Father's ranch in New Mexico there were a couple of goats that liked to escape and jump up on the roofs of cars & trucks. It was definitely not a good idea to drive a new car out there.

^^ That link pretty much explains it all. - AdmiralAdama, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Goats are the coolest animals in the entire world
- marinist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9This is entirely due to goats having a mortal fear of Finnish people.
- Klowner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9You had family trips to Endor? Lucky.
- taotehue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9dude, goats would climb anything! you must have never been around them. they get on top of houses all the time.
- ubuntumatthew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I live in Morocco and thought I would add a bit of info.
This particular tree is called the Argan tree and it has nuts that grow on it from which is made a special oil for cooking and flavoring foods. The goats have discovered that the nuts taste good. You can find scenes like this all over the region of Morocco where the Argan trees grow. - IvanB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8True. But the particularity here is that they can stand on the tree's branch. That's pretty cool.
- tainedhero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Now, All we need to get those fainting sheep in a tree. Fun for the whole family!
- ganja, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Most important rule in commenting on Digg.com that I just broke:
DO NOT reply and play smart BEFORE you read all comments. There could be some evidence that
what ever you think and will comment is WRONG. Or we have many many photomontages on the same
subject. Doubt it.
Peace & Love - dprevite, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9“I want these *****’ goats off the *****’ tree"
- livejamie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7oh so this is why the internet was invented
- oskite, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11I don't think many peoples' car insurance covers Africa. :)
- AndrewMayne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Next, someone will be posting fake photos of that mythical Australian hopping mouse as tall as a man with a pocket in front. Do they think we're that stupid??? Sheesh.
- Tony611, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Ohhhh! Sounds like a mystery. Better call Shelby Woo!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7It's true. Goats just about anywhere in the world will climb trees to get at foliage if there is nothing to graze on at ground-level. If you don't believe the pictures, think of mountain goats clinging to the sides of mountains.
- callmegoattwice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Thank you for your understanding of my people

So the part in the page which talks about copyrights doesn't apply to you? - steve693, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Something about this phenomenon demands that it be put on a T-shirt.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5> I'm no pro.
Too right. You're a complete ***** who doesn't read any of the comments above yours before shooting your ignorant mouth off. There are plenty of other pics of goats in trees referenced above, all of which prove it's a normal phenomenon. Get a clue mate. - 16777216, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@ gaijin
It's a lot less than you'd think. - Lunchbox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I want a tree goat!
- Snowspot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5in soviet russia...tree climb goat...and goat climb you....
and....
/cries gently - deadgoon42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4When I was a kid (pun intended), we had goats on our farm. Goats will climb anything they can if they think they'll get something good to eat. I've seen them climb trees, fences, old junk, horses, and even other goats to get at what they want.
- Fengpost, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4That is true. When I lived in Colorado, I see them all the time on the side of a mountain. I must say it is still a little strange to see them on a tree, but not surprising.
Check this cute baby goat out: http://www.clarkvision.com/galleries/gallery.mtn_goat/web/c071302.05.34-600.baby.goat.html -
