My brother found at a yard sale years ago, he bagged it and put it on cardboard. He phoned me up and told me that he found the most amazing comic to complete my collection, he refused to tell me what it was. A week later he sent it and being an Atheist it is now one of my treasures hanging in my den in it's own frame because of the pure ridiculousness of it. - sbcea, on 01/05/2009, -1/+95'Amputee Love the Movie' starring Heather Mills

I think the cover was the root of several Fark photoshops for a while, most involving Ann Coulter. - laserviking, on 01/06/2009, -3/+57There have been a number of movies about the Pope John Paul, religion aside he was actually a pretty cool guy.

- mentallyinhell, on 01/06/2009, -0/+33Look at the others too. Amputee Love looks disturbingly erotic.
- irishjays, on 01/06/2009, -1/+30Amputee Love, where people without feet, meet, to eat.
- GarrettGrimsley, on 01/06/2009, -0/+28Unless Cpt. America's fist is actually a briefcase full of C4 then no, not really the same concept.

- Sublex, on 01/06/2009, -1/+28The movie adaptation of this can't be worse than "The Day the Earth Stood Still".
Hell, the comic can't be worse than Twilight. - humpy, on 01/06/2009, -0/+26Brb, writing a screenplay.

- smacksaw, on 01/06/2009, -2/+27Actually, the comic was quite good. That guy was a hero and led a very interesting life.
- cheapotheclown, on 01/06/2009, -4/+29Still has a shot as a Fox News program...
- TMTurtle, on 01/06/2009, -4/+29You're trying to start *****.

- warispeace21, on 01/06/2009, -0/+22The Sean Hannity comic is hands-down the most redonkulous.
http://accstudios.com/ - punkcat, on 01/06/2009, -0/+18and capt. america would have to be german too, which might be a cool twist but probably just really weird.
- kiffar, on 01/06/2009, -0/+18Hansi
- slamtv7, on 01/06/2009, -1/+18I wish I could un-see that
- vertigo32, on 01/06/2009, -4/+21Yup. Regardless of your position on religion in general or the Roman Catholic Church, you have to acknowledge the Pope John Paul was a genuinely great man.
Discounting his accomplishments is like discounting Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Theresa, or Ghandi because of religion. - IamNOTmrT, on 01/06/2009, -0/+17I always wondered what Ann Coulter looked like as a child
- AlbinoRaven, on 01/06/2009, -0/+15Doesn't really matter either way. When I'm working I don't stop to consider if the Engineer beside me believes in anything or not. I just want to know if the ***** hits the fan, will that guy be there to back me up 2 in the morning restoring a VMS box.
The comic is what is ridiculious. I'm not entirely sure why but it's just so perfectly weird. It even has comic book noises in it. "Vrrooooom!" "Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta". lol
//Yer making me tempted to take it out of the frame and read it 18 years after the fact. - FlavorD, on 01/06/2009, -0/+15Maria Anne Hirschmann was raised in Prague, was apolitical, assigned to Hitler Youth, swallowed the propaganda, was captured by Soviet troops, escaped in the night, married, moved to America, and became a teacher. She's actually very clear about her mistake in letting people do her thinking for her, and she became kind of a universal grandma to thousands.
I know, this flies in the face of the comments section, not being snarky and containing facts, but there you have it.
I had this comic, and enjoyed it. - DotGet, on 01/06/2009, -6/+21Atheism.
isn't.
a.
religion.
Jesus ***** christ on a pogo stick when will you learn? - the8thbit, on 01/06/2009, -2/+17Agreed. The Captain America comic really isn't far-fetched at all. The early DC and Marvel comic book characters were often pit against America's enemies at the time (Germany, Italy, Japan, sometimes the USSR) so this Captain America comic doesn't really stand out to me, and would honestly probably make a decent movie if the nationalism of the Comic wasn't left in a pre-Vietnam War world.
The concept of 'Captain America' has always disturbed me, but one has to recall that the nationalism which spews from many comics of the 40s and 50s wasn't necessarily synonymous with extreme conservatism until the 60s.
In fact, I believe the upcoming movie featuring Captain America has him fighting in World War 2, correct? Perhaps not pit directly against Hitler, but you never know. - captainpugwash, on 01/05/2009, -2/+16I know he usually does video games but ......Uwe Boll ?
- flammablewater, on 01/06/2009, -0/+14i think you mean amputastic
- schkura, on 01/06/2009, -0/+13You ***** just keep daring Uwe Boll to make this movie.
- Beenard, on 01/06/2009, -0/+13I would have to admit that Hansi loved that Swastika more than anyone I know.
- parabolee, on 01/06/2009, -4/+17Just read that comic, First of all WOW that it exists and then wow at the typical fundamentalist revisionist history. Nazi's were bad so they must have been against the bible/Christianity? Not true at all.
Hitler claimed to be a big Christian, the Nazi's were not anti-bible at all! In fact the Nazi's sed Christianity and god to justify a lot of what they did/believed!
http://www.nobeliefs.com/Hitler1.htm
While I have read sources that claim some secret anti-Christian feelings of Hitler it they come from one dubious book from a single source and therefore do not stand up to normal journalistic scrutiny. But even if what that one book claims is true and Hitler hid his anti-Christian feelings, there is NO DOUBT he used religion and Christianity to aid his Nazi movement. - geodebug, on 01/06/2009, -0/+13I'd give my left arm for a subscription
- AlexSelby, on 01/06/2009, -0/+13This is the logical step for a sequel to The Dark Knight.
- burjzyntski, on 01/06/2009, -2/+15Polish people are just awesome
:p - geodebug, on 01/06/2009, -0/+13"Hitler is showing us NEW things -- and more SCIENTIFIC ways!"
Damn you science. - Mittens27, on 01/06/2009, -1/+13But the swastika is the Hindu symbol for well-being...
- smacksaw, on 01/06/2009, -0/+12Yes. She needs his help as her wheelchair functions poorly underwater.
- purzzzell, on 01/06/2009, -1/+13Digg this if you were collecting comics when this crossover happened (I was, but didn't actually BUY it...)
- D0P3M4N, on 01/06/2009, -0/+11On the cover of the Pope John Paul II comic, it says "The exclusive story"
Is there something we don't know? - GRVeee2, on 01/06/2009, -0/+11ya they have a word for that batman, it's called pink!
