- HurricaneDC, on 10/04/2009, -0/+22Zombie movies are never any worse than 'decent and often are 'awesome.' The really well-made ones (28 Days/Weeks Later for example) are intense, the funny ones (Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead) are entertaining, the blah ones (Dawn of the Dead remake) are still pretty intense, and the B-movie ones are lulzy.
Long live zombies. - Lavarocked, on 10/04/2009, -1/+16The reason we have zombies is because fairly recently we've realized that all the people from different cultures and different religions really are people just like us, so there's no one left to gleefully and remorselessly slaughter. Humans love killing humans, more than any other animal, but the guilt over destroying their humanity is enough to sour the taste of blood. Zombies are empty of any and all humanity so you cannot feel measurable remorse for killing them.
- A5204, on 10/04/2009, -2/+16I thought the Dawn of the Dead remake was awesome.
- appleseed1234, on 10/04/2009, -0/+12That was an awful article. Like reading a bad high school report on zombies.
- Gibletoid, on 10/04/2009, -0/+12What did the vegetarian zombie say?
GRAAAAAIIINNNSSSSSSssssssss. - discoandhaze, on 10/04/2009, -0/+8"A website called cracked offers some other scary research, like neurogenesis..."
Cracked? Research? It's a ***** comedy site, not a standard for academia. - ProfessorSYM, on 10/04/2009, -0/+5Me too, it is popular to hate on it but remakes generally get that kind of reception.
- Lavarocked, on 10/04/2009, -2/+7I should add that today many extreme Islamist television channels (for example) have what amounts to "Jew Kill of the Week." Zombie fiction isn't popular among the bronze age people who still enjoy that sort of thing because there is no need.
- JoeHague, on 10/04/2009, -2/+6Hey, in case you didn't notice, were talking about Zombies here. If you're so ***** in love with Glenn Beck there are like 40 front page stories a day about him you can comment on.
Stories like these are a lot of peoples escape from the non stop crazy politics/ - ChromaVita, on 10/04/2009, -0/+4Zombie acropolis? Really?
- Sloi, on 10/04/2009, -1/+5Dabadabadabadababaa!
Uuunnnnnnhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - burningrobot, on 10/04/2009, -0/+3Have you guys ever heard of this "Cracked" website they refer to? /s
- Lavarocked, on 10/04/2009, -0/+3Although, I'm now imagining a Zombie Acropolis and it /would/ be pretty ***** metal.
- czarcasm, on 10/04/2009, -0/+2I know youre up there because I can smell your BRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIINNN!!
- fuzzy889, on 10/04/2009, -0/+2I like you.
- skidork, on 10/04/2009, -1/+3I ***** love zombies!
- Gloogle, on 10/04/2009, -0/+2when i dream about a zombie infestation i don't see my self fighting back or killing zombies. I see my self running and hiding.
- TheInformer, on 10/04/2009, -0/+2I see zombies every Saturday night at the Waffle House after "last call for alcohol".
- DimensionalPunk, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1GRAAAAAGGGHHH!!!!!
- ebcreasoner, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1***** awesome!
- killdashnine, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1The secret is we like to obsess about things that are "unlikely" ... that way when something bad actually happens, we're ready.
- Averness, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1A lot of people love the new Dawn. I love them both for different reasons, but if I had to choose one to watch now it'd be the new one. I have the original on DVD and I saw them both in the movies when they came out.
- qloops, on 10/04/2009, -1/+2Create your own zombie using the zombifier at http://www.zombiesingles.com.
- marktastic, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1Might I remind you of "House of the Dead" directed by Uwe Boll
- fofe510, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1So let me get this straight... me saying there's no evidence to prove Beck DID NOT rape and murder a girl leads you to conclude that I'm in love with him? Think that one through, retard.
- Mu5ica1MiL3s, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1I heard the other day that more American's have a plan for a zombie attack than and natural disaster..
***** yes America, ***** yes. - burningrobot, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1You're not even supposed to say anything other than, "Miiilllllllttaaaank!!!"
- MadHarvey, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1I'm glad you included 'Weeks'. It seems people often overlook how great that movie is.
I also liked the Dawn of the Dead remake, but nothing could top the magic of the original - miltank, on 10/04/2009, -1/+1I think you, my good sir, are on drugs.
- BeShirtHappy, on 10/03/2009, -1/+1Well, until I start craving brainz... I guess I'm in the clear.
- Rudegar, on 10/04/2009, -1/+1close to what cracked said in the why you secretly wish for zombie acropolis
- inactive, on 10/04/2009, -1/+1"And zombies are reliable precisely because we think they could never be..."
Who's "we?" I can't wait for the zombies to come. - Nicoon, on 10/04/2009, -1/+1"Even if you claim to be an atheist or, damnation, agnostic, isn't the real scare in zombie lore that someone — a person with friends and family — could return with no apparent loyalty? And couldn't that "loyalty" be called a soul?"
No, it's called having an intact brain. Now stop throwing punches on atheists, it's totally uncalled for. - spookyttws, on 10/04/2009, -1/+1***** written article, but if we're talking about the "28 Days Later" type of Zombie it's less fiction than fact. Later stage symptoms of the Rabies virus mirror almost all of the symptoms and actions of the fast moving, jaw biting, twitchy creatures we see in the movies. Luckily (if caught early on) it's very curable. If the Rabies virus ever mutates so much that it's "on set" symptoms are those of current "late stage" Rabies patients, we may have ourselves a zombie outbreak.
- MisterEX, on 10/07/2009, -1/+1I don't like to keep people left out of the loop. Can we make Glenn Beck a zombie so fofe510 can join in again?
- Lavarocked, on 10/04/2009, -1/+0That's more in animals as far as I know... I know people go insane too, but it's pretty much just while they contort themselves and lay stiff backed.
- s0l0s0ul, on 10/04/2009, -3/+2sorry, you lost me at "less fiction than fact". I ended up in an endless loop trying to figure out what the hell that means.
- fofe510, on 10/04/2009, -8/+2There's no evidence to prove that zombies could never come into being?
Kind of like how there's no evidence to prove that Glenn Beck didn't rape and murder a girl in 1990?
