  • lisaawesome, on 07/16/2008, -0/+19The only reason I can think for this mixing countries and cities (usually reserved just for the U.S.) practice is because the U.S. has such huge price variations across the country. I could be completely wrong but I think the assumption is that other countries (European countries in particular) are smaller and will have less price variations due to regional cost of living differences. However the data in this case also uses Shanghai but no other cities in China to compare it to. I think the somewhat arbitrary choice of countries and cities convolutes the data. They also don't mention what size packs these prices are for.
