Granted he does sound like a complete douchebag, and if he's guilty of what he's been charged with then throw the book at him, but if we expect to have the police follow the innocent until proven guilty rule then we need to extend it to them as well.
In this case you have a recording of someone jacking off in the station who has a visible scar that seems to match the officer in question. Fine. Put him on leave. It's not like he tased a child and then jacked off over it.
