Newspapers have a terrible tendency to take something really funny, and make sure they overanalyze it just enough to make sure it's not funny anymore. - Gir53457, on 10/11/2007, -8/+164im in ur mainsteam newz. enlisting mah hordez.

And thank god. If they weren't late, they would stop anything funny on the internet from ever becoming popular in the first place. - Chompy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32Well, that was actually a suprisingly not-misinformed article. In the mainstream press, no less! Will wonders never cease.
- InfamousX241, on 10/11/2007, -8/+35Great, let's all steal 4chan memes and give them stupid names. R.I.P. Caturday.
- z00k, on 10/11/2007, -3/+28Heh, I used the spell check on digg and it returned "psychical"
MAH BAD KTHX - LaueOfficer, on 10/11/2007, -5/+30They had an article about Emos last year, classically awesome humor. This type of thing is fairly routine for them to do occasionally, wins over youth readers.

- evi1, on 10/11/2007, -3/+20/b/ is the origin of caturday, but now that it has become mainstream /b/ is launching anti-caturday efforts.
- Rfriaz, on 10/11/2007, -5/+21/b/ was and is the only official site.
- racecarjones, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15i sort of feel embarrassed now, i hope my mom doesn't read that and start saying things like "HAI WOT U WANTZ FOR SUPPERZORZ!" i would punch myself

- mystikraven, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10/b/ is nothing.
Remember, /b/rothers! Rules 1 & 2! - Darmichar, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Well, I guess I'm a '***** loser' by your standards then.
Hell, I even added the ICHC feed to my Google reader so I can have the pictures delivered to me every day.
I find them quite funny. - mahsah, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8This is why we have to resort to pointlessly strange memes like "***** YEAH SEAKING" or even more bizzarrely, "***** YEAH BISMUTH".
I think this is also why some /b/tards act extremely racist; whos going to steal a meme when all it is is posting "lol *****" or "BEEP BOP MUHFUGGIN BIXNOODS"?
Also, this article gets a healthy SAGE. - Skanadian, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7@mctwinkie
You don't even know what Rule 1 means. Rule 1 is about not mentioning 4chan because we don't want gaiafags and noobs to come in asking "What does ITT mean?". He's mentioning it for the greater good because our memes have been stolen and given a ***** name. - cartwheels, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10Rule 1, etc.
- badjoke, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I love how the author took it upon himself to do one.
- enosp, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8Houston Chronicle Sunday Special edition "Mudkips discovered in Sparta"
- mystikraven, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7I demand Rule 34 on lolcat.
- arbulus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4that ***** baby...
- shortarabguy, on 10/11/2007, -5/+9Hell if I know, those people scare me.
- scoper, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8what's longcat's power level?
- speedk0re, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7this is the greatest thing i've ever seen
- muffinmanpoo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Well, that's really only one, now isn't it?
- seanroth, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I'm glad someone mentioned this ***** being ripped from 4chan. lolcats.com FTL
ALSO: not enough /b/tards on digg - arbulus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3digg needs a "meh" button that's neither a digg nor a bury.
- Chandon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3/b/ is for /b/tards. There are people who write final fantasy furry fanfics that deserve more respect than those guys.
- GhostCow, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4What are these two rules and why should we care about the fact that this came from 4chan?
Personally, I like to pretend that 4chan doesn't exist after stupidly clicking a link to the lollicons board. - dimension128, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5@thekorn2
"the ***** booted off of myspace for having content that's too low-brow."
-blinks- How the hell? That is like saying that people somehow make polygons that represent a smaller measurement than infinitely thin.
Lower quality than the absolute bottom level? It just doesn't work, my brain hurts. - Uranium118, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3If you have to explain ANY joke, it's not funny. Unless that is the joke.
- goldfenix, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4@ghostcow
That board's been gone for at least a year. Which means that it pretty much got relocated into the random section. Strange how such a popular meme (lolcats in this case) could have come from the same place that most people visit to act like 12 year olds and look at porn. - dcpar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3http://locatr.com is the "official" community site (if you can call anything about lolcats official).
- markdr123, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah...it's called not clicking either.
- Spo8, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Don't forget about this crazy "Star Wars Kid" the internet is just buzzing about!
- Uranium118, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Do I smell raid?
- snapcase, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"Even before these two sites were registered "lolcats" have been all over the internets."
That was my point. Neither of those websites were the origin. And all of these freaking digg stories never get that fact. -
