- AndrewDB, on 01/09/2009, -1/+50I guess they're just dying to get some meth.
- tavallai, on 01/09/2009, -0/+44One false move, and it becomes a crematorium, too!
- DickyT83, on 01/09/2009, -0/+41While I don't condone drug creation or use, I must say it is rather smart to start a lab in a funeral home. Not only do you have the formaldehyde to ease the scent, you also don't have to worry about killing anyone aside from yourself and accomplices. However, it probably isn't wise to start one near a police station.
- shadebane, on 01/10/2009, -1/+25Well if the police just walked in its an illegal search, and this will be dropped in court. Leaving a light on "after hours" is not probable cause for police to enter a dwelling or business. I smell *****.
- mal1964, on 01/10/2009, -0/+23Shhhhh, Stop coffin so loud they might hear us..
- GamingForever, on 01/09/2009, -1/+21Well, if you die from the meth, you're in the perfect place...
- kolop1, on 01/10/2009, -0/+18I once found a funeral home in a meth lab. Go figure.
- Tezgno, on 01/10/2009, -2/+17He was probably saying to himself:
"Pfft.... They would never suspect a funeral home next to a police station as being a meth lab." - rolf, on 01/10/2009, -0/+15Also the article said: "Inside, police say they found all the components necessary to build a meth lab. Officers arrested the former funeral home employee when he returned."
It's not really clear, the article doesn't say whether they actually found a meth lab. I'm sure, under many kitchen sinks, are the components for a minor street bomb or chemical weapon somehow. Doesn't mean there's a street bomb or chemical weapon there. I wish the article was more precise. - HellifIno, on 01/10/2009, -0/+12http://www.instantrimshot.com
It's not instant if I have to copy and paste the damn thing! Get with it! : P - oda1, on 01/10/2009, -0/+10Is there a way to automatically have a 'signature' ?? if not, then you're manually typing your user at the end of your posts. That, my friend, does not make you a cool kid at all.
- zanzibuz, on 01/10/2009, -0/+10Google Street view of the funeral home. Notice the police station a little to the left.

Try pot next time. - Dumbledorito, on 01/10/2009, -0/+7"He's still dead."
"Okay. Up the dose to a pound and a half. That's GOT to do SOMETHING."
"Are you sure this is how Frankenstein got his start?"
"He wasn't mentioned in 'Dr. Feelgood' for nothing."
"Good point. I'll get the funnel." - LiquidBeats, on 01/10/2009, -0/+7well there is that saying... "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer"
- sockpuppets, on 01/10/2009, -2/+9Police routinely use infrared cameras to canvas buildings emitting excessive heat from grow lights. They also get tipped off on any place using excessive energy.
Check this video out where a former cop installs a christmas tree growing operation and watch as the police illegally raid his house:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3Fu4YVH8nA&fea ... - TheVoxHumanus, on 01/10/2009, -1/+8Now, the article has some very specific language in it that might be overlooked.
It said they found all of the required components to build a meth lab...not that they found a meth lab.
I'm sure I have all of the required components to build a meth lab in my home RIGHT NOW. Did they find meth? Article does not say.
Besides that, I wouldn't think it particularly unusual to find chemicals and tools in a funeral home.
But then again, I don't know how to build a meth lab. - russ3, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Well we just need to do one better. Vote Russ3 for sheriff, he'll build a methlab right in the station.
- Typhoon2009, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6What do you expect, I'm a dog.
- Dalif, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Give him a break. When you post a comment as important as his, it's nice to show the plebs that you are indeed who you claim to be. For all we know, the insightful and witty comments made from his account, but without the signature, might be from his brother.
- jgzman, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Ah, the old "They'll never believe anyone could be that stupid" theory.
Sometimes, it even works. - s4g4n, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5Just one problem, zombies
- Junkey, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5I see high people.
- jaschen, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5I call BS
- xero69, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4Most officers are probably too busy with that first doughnut and coffee of the day to pay any attention to what's going on right across the street from headquarters. I would love to know how long this operation was going on right under their noses!
- bryantee, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4Thought the same thing. I assume his lawyer will run those motions. Unless there's something else here they're not telling us no judge or jury could convict.
- shadebane, on 01/10/2009, -1/+5The door was open after hours, same goes for your house, "His/her house was open judge, it was late at night so i went in and took some *****, its legit right? the door was open!"
- createcontent, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4http://tinyurl.com/7t8pjo
- ArtR, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4Not that I could care that they got busted but... he walked into a place because the lights were on? It's that against some kind of law? A LOT of places leave lights on all the time. No cops are walking in there.
- Sherman901, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4People that just got done eating a hot dinner while working on their car with a cold?
- Typhoon2009, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4Who would ever inspect a funeral home anyway? Brilliant.
- disgruntledgoat, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4I'd love to hear the defence "I've got all the components to do your Mum, but that doesn't mean I'm going to".
- cassusfett, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4Apparently funeral homes are good for making meth. Same thing happened in Oklahoma a couple years ago.

http://www.normantranscript.com/localnews/local_st ... - sychodelix, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4It looks kind of like a longshot to me, but the catcher is how much cold medicine did they find? If they only found one or two boxes, it's BS, because that's NOT enough to use for a meth lab. It takes boxes and boxes of the right cold medicines to make it, so unless they found that much, it wasn't a lab. Any of the other components for it could have EASILY been in an embalming room.
- zyklon, on 01/10/2009, -1/+5Place for eternal meth?
- borez, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4Actually, this makes sense... in one door, out of the other.
- UnstableMind, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3Here is the local news coverage:
http://www.kait8.com/global/video/flash/popupplaye ... - jasonh1234, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3As bad as drugs are, you gotta admire the outside the box/creative thinking behind that idea!
- mattcarreiro, on 01/10/2009, -1/+4http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,409921,00.html
- kalabunnga, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3my uncle died from a meth and went to that funeral home. How ironic
- Sherman901, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3What? I think you're fibbing.
- brad016, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3Dugg for submitters name.
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3Sounds like they were dead set on making drugs
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3Maybe they felt that those around them needed a kickstart
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3At least if it blows up nobody will be killed. Except maybe the people cooking the meth.
- disgruntledgoat, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3That'd save on all kinds of Mafia overhead and bribes, why outsource when you can bring it in house?
- arvvvs, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3Meth for eternal rest. Get high while you up there.
- inactive, on 01/09/2009, -4/+7why not ,they found a marijuana farm under a shopping mall
- TommyHigh, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3I smell BS.
The info is very loose in the article. Everything to make a meth lab? Whats that about?
Then at the end... "A telephone number for Lewis could not be found Thursday night.", what kind of cop doesn't have an easily accessible phone number and why did they even bother mentioning that in the article...
across the road from the sheriffs office.. because it's their lab maybe!? - 2Bnor2B, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3Attention Hollywood: This could be a great script idea for a movie!
