- cyberthief, on 11/11/2009, -0/+64I have to buy my guys undies for him.... he will wear his till they fall in shreds off his ass. but for some reason he will buy me undies all the time
- SushiCW, on 11/11/2009, -0/+35Bart : Do you wear boxers or briefs?
Homer : [checking] Nope. - Maynza, on 11/11/2009, -0/+33Whats more embarrassing is that your 7th grade boxers still fit you.
- Jektal, on 11/11/2009, -0/+26This surprises you?
- manogamez, on 11/11/2009, -0/+25I'm afraid you are. I'm not ashamed to say it. I have 4 year-old boxers in my collection. They still do their job.
- blankoblanko, on 11/11/2009, -0/+214 years? That's the best you can do? I have underwear from 1994 still in regular rotation.
- JCH897, on 11/11/2009, -0/+20I love reading stuff like this cause it makes great fun facts to drop on your friends.
- veriix, on 11/11/2009, -0/+19cool story bro...but not really.
- Rudegar, on 11/11/2009, -1/+19what you can buy underpants?
I believed you had to wait for a relative to die to inherit underpants :O - Fleagleman, on 11/11/2009, -0/+18We just get tired of the gnomes coming in at night to steal them, that's all.
- MacBookForMe, on 11/11/2009, -1/+18Pretty correct figure (even less than 17 years in most cases, if a man doesn't want to wear so creepy pants as those on that thumbnail)
- MWeather, on 11/11/2009, -0/+16Try actually washing the feces off of your anus instead of just wiping it with a piece of paper.
- MWeather, on 11/11/2009, -0/+16That's why I wash them only once a month. That's 100 months of use!
- n4cr2k, on 11/11/2009, -2/+17I have the women in my life buy all my clothes. I see it as a win-win situation. I hate shopping for clothes. Men aren't the best at picking out matching stuff either. Women enjoy shopping, especially for clothes. Plus they can pick out nice outfits. I can probably count on one hand the clothes that I've bought for myself.
- sageerrant, on 11/11/2009, -0/+15It sounds weird, but I actually inherited about a third of my grandfather's wardrobe, including unworn underwear (and undershirts), pants, suits, belts, shoes, mountains of socks... He was my size in his prime, so now I dress like an old man.
- FredFredrickson, on 11/11/2009, -0/+15So he's the creepy loner who's always hanging around in Victoria's Secret?
- MWeather, on 11/11/2009, -0/+14 The earliest known use of the term in print is January 22, 1985 when Jim Spencer wrote in the Chicago Tribune:
"Furthermore, colored briefs are 'sleazy' and going without underwear ('going commando', as they say on campus) is simply gross".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Going_commando - sageerrant, on 11/11/2009, -0/+12They have no concept of speed holes and elaborate cooling systems.
- MrBrotato, on 11/11/2009, -0/+11That's because women do not appreciate our efficient use of underwear. Once they get a few holes the woman in our life replaces them for no good reason.
- Blinker1315, on 11/11/2009, -1/+11I guess that's true, although I've bought my own boxers since going to college.
- Elranzer, on 11/11/2009, -0/+10I'm 27 and my mom still buys my underwear.
- ControversedDig, on 11/11/2009, -1/+11So men spend 17 years buying pants? Seems like a lot of years just to buy pants.
- forevernomad, on 11/11/2009, -0/+10Dang, you're an idiot.
- Auto, on 11/11/2009, -1/+11I'm running on some boxers that I wore when I was in the 7th grade. I'm now about to get my bachelor's degree.
Although there are considerably more holes now, I suppose that's sort of weird. If I ever get hit by a car, I can only hope that the paramedics will assume the wreck shredded my underwear, because it's going to be pretty embarrassing. - ell0bo, on 11/11/2009, -1/+10Well... according to research for this to be true, we'd have to have gfs that are willing to buy us the underwear. Since graduating... that's pretty damn tough to find (a gf that is).
- Jektal, on 11/11/2009, -1/+96 months == 100 washes?!
That's only ~180 days. Are you washing your underwear every 2-3 days? Buy another pair! - ell0bo, on 11/11/2009, -0/+8that's great. now how does one get this 'women' in his life?
- Lith25, on 11/11/2009, -1/+9You must be a pretty feminine fellow to be wearing minni mouse bikinis
- anxdiety, on 11/11/2009, -0/+8What? I still don't buy underwear. That's what mother's Xmas gift is for. The years supply of socks and ginch.
- Jektal, on 11/11/2009, -0/+8Skidmarks of yore
- FearlessFreep, on 11/11/2009, -0/+7If you can't figure out how to buy matching underwear....?
- nick9000, on 11/11/2009, -0/+6Here in Britain, underpants is a generic term for male underwear.
Underwear covers (no pun intended) both sexes. Hence:
Underwear={Underpants = {Briefs, Boxers, Y fronts, Shorts},Knickers}
'Knickers' probably being a British only term for what Americans call ‘Panties’ (this is a little outside my area of expertise). - minorthreat, on 11/11/2009, -0/+6Im not sure, but I don't believe the majority of people have a problem with wet underwear.. If they did, their would be a market for it.
Maybe try using depends? - Rollwit2002, on 11/11/2009, -0/+6I agree after about 100 washes they will wear out. Pluse the skid marked one every so often in the trash.
- forcedfx, on 11/11/2009, -0/+6If it weren't for my g/f I'd be naked right now.
When I was younger I got mad at an ex for buying me clothes, thinking she was trying to change me. Now I just don't give a ***** what I wear as long as it keeps me warm in the Winter and comfortable in Summer. - Lith25, on 11/11/2009, -0/+6Would have to agree. The last new pair of boxers I got was probably when I was in highschool, my mom buying them of course. I havn't bought my own pair since moving out...
Also, why do we call it 'pair of boxers' when it's just one? - MattB123, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5I just wore the ones mom bought me until my girlfriend/wife took over. I probably didn't buy any undies between (college years) but then the gf started throwing the old ones out and replacing them.
She is way more particular about my undergarments than I am. As far as I'm concerned, if it's not uncomfortable, it's fine. - istoner, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5A lot of undies are manufactured in a little town called Tirupur in India, where boxers are sold by weight. Yes thats right, you can buy 10 pounds of fruit of the loom for about 4-5 USD.That's pretty much my 17 years in minute.
- freaky2k, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5Stop picking your butt through your underwear.
- howdareyou, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5I've posted this twice in two days but it's worth it. Baby wipes are your friend people. If you got ***** on your hands would you just wipe it off with some dry paper?
Also call me crazy but Protege boxer-briefs are the best, I'm not sure if they're exclusive to Costco but that's the only place I've seen them. - Jektal, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5Well, cotton is better than silk for underwear. Eueugh, that stuff does -not- feel right down there.
- ryrocker, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4i call mine, "hello holes"
- Elranzer, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4I find it rather pretentious that every Friends episode title is called "The one where..."
- mrsurfboard, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4That's what man wipes are for. Never take a smash without them.
- cyberthief, on 11/11/2009, -1/+5well it would surprize me if he bought me boxers or granny pants.
- Wavemancali, on 11/11/2009, -2/+6I've been married for 14 years, my wife has never bought my clothing during that time other than the occasional gift.
I just don't get guys that have their wife do this for them... don't you want to decide how you dress? - evenflowdave, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4pants are for wimps. here in scotland, you let it all hang :)
- ell0bo, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4Sounds like every relationship I've ever been in. I only just started to throw out my pairs I got when I was around 16 that my first girl made me buy. However I bought almost every girl a few pairs. Generally, it's just us saying, 'here honey, I know you like to feel sexy, and trust me these will do the trick'. When I get to the point where I'm buying the girl underwear, it's usually the sign to myself I'm in actually invested in the relationship.
- hereticoftruth, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3For a moment there I thought far more guys were going commando than I knew about. I guess I am more concerned about feeling comfortable than most guys. I wouldn't submit to another person's opinion in that category.
- hoodedrobin, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Id say i get new boxerbriefs every year. But I still have some that look decent and still have the elastic from 2004.
