- HerrWolf, on 07/08/2009, -6/+75"It's a Mayan symbol, we're sure it's linked to the Mayan calendar, which we think is linked to the Apocalypse (or some big event), so this crop circle surely means the Apocalypse is coming in 2012."
That's some solid reasoning right there... - gbudavid, on 07/08/2009, -2/+70A Crop Olypse ?? ;))
- floort, on 07/08/2009, -1/+59This is proof of aliens because we all know how much aliens know about Mayan history.
- muxaulo, on 07/08/2009, -2/+59The end is always near
- newtsac, on 07/08/2009, -1/+572012 Viral Marketing!
- nullcodes, on 07/08/2009, -1/+52Would you aliens please stop ***** with our food supply?
How would you like it if I went up to Arcturus and pissed in your rivers? - Brak710101, on 07/08/2009, -1/+48No matter how good they look and "unexplainable" they may seem... You're really underestimating the dedication and talent some people have.
- polypropglop, on 07/08/2009, -5/+40Someone needs to do a goatse crop circle. I can barely hide my contempt for people who fall for this *****.
- adg36, on 07/08/2009, -3/+37Whether or not this crop circle is "real", the Mayan "apocalypse" is being misinterpreted. 2012 is NOT the end of the world, but rather the end of an "Age". According to the Mayan calendar system, there will be some sort of transitory event in 2012 that will cause the world to enter a new era - but it's impossible to tell whether this refers to a cultural, political, economic, technological, or social paradigm shift.
But it doesn't mean the world will end - the Mayan calendar is cyclical, so there is always a "next age". - chewycheese, on 07/08/2009, -2/+34looks shopped. i can tell by some of the cornstalks
- cybertrip, on 07/08/2009, -0/+25No this is proof that the Mayans were aliens!
- yocouchdigga, on 07/08/2009, -4/+29can we please stop the 2012 *****? it's so tired...

- liquidxtension1, on 07/08/2009, -1/+23No this is proof that aliens were Mayans!
- ai52487963, on 07/08/2009, -0/+19Maybe this one is predicting the soon-to-come Spanish invasion
- awtripp, on 07/08/2009, -1/+20Aliens would have made it perfectly symmetrical. I mean, they probably just have giant stamp they fly around with on their saucers.
- cygnus2112, on 07/08/2009, -2/+20No this is alien that Mayans were proof!
- HerrWolf, on 07/08/2009, -1/+19and by seeing quite a few crop circles in your day?
- ScottMcIntyre, on 07/08/2009, -2/+20Does anyone actually know for definite how these crop circles are made, and who is doing it? This one seems particularly intricate.
- degron, on 07/08/2009, -0/+18I keep my towel with me at all times.
- dayoldblues, on 07/08/2009, -11/+28This story would have been interesting when I was 11.
- lolwatermelon, on 07/08/2009, -1/+17You'd think if they could predict the end of the world in 2012 they would have predicted the end of their civilization in the 1500s.
- jayrodnoonan, on 07/08/2009, -2/+17...and when the year 2000 comes around, all the computers will crash! wooOOOoooOOOoo!!
- apzdsx, on 07/08/2009, -1/+16This is a very complex crop circle that couldn't have possibly been man made. I believe we are being warned that *something* may happen in 2012, possibly our destruction.
Now, excuse me while I go back to drowning in my own stupidity. - insomniasystems, on 07/08/2009, -0/+14The end is far from near...
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/88/216245759_ce60ec ... - imnojezus, on 07/08/2009, -1/+15No this is proof that Maylians were Aiyans!
- 2matrix, on 07/08/2009, -1/+15has anyone ever thought that the real reason the Mayan calendar ends at 2012 is because they just didn't feel like going on and on ? At some point they had to cut it off....
- IllBeBack, on 07/08/2009, -0/+13In early 2013, you'll start to hear about the end that is coming in 2020.
You know it's the end when the numbers repeat like that. - shniper, on 07/08/2009, -0/+13it was better the first time
- TheMagician2007, on 07/08/2009, -0/+12To make one, you will need: 1) a group of people to help you flatten the crop 2) a way to measure distances (one of those measuring wheels is good) 3) strings of different lengths (each crop circle has its own set of strings) 4) a tool to flatten the crop (usually made of wood) 5) math skills (required for complex patterns) 6) planning the actual crop circle and making the right measurements on paper before going on the crop and doing it. If you have all of the aforementioned steps under control then you should be able to replicate any crop circle that's been made so far without the help of the sun and helicopters. And of course, people who make the more unique and complex crop circles are professionals and most likely have 'secret' tools that need to be used for certain crop circles in order to replicate them.
And who are making these? People who do it to get on the news, people who do it for the art and people who do it for the challenge. I call them 'crop graffiti artists'. Both crop circle makers and graffiti artists use tools to vandalize someone else's property and neither wants to get caught for it. - lolwatermelon, on 07/08/2009, -0/+12A lot of people think that the "Gods" that appeared to the Mayans were actually aliens or time travelers. A lot of their drawings of gods look like humanoids in something that almost looks like a space suit.
Personally, I think a bunch of ancient dudes did a bunch of ancient drugs and had a bunch of hallucinations. - centran, on 07/08/2009, -2/+14EVERYBODY PANIC!
- TheDigitalBug, on 07/08/2009, -1/+13Farmers that are bored.
- danwallace, on 07/08/2009, -0/+12Actually, I'm a Mayan and I can tell you that it totally is. I have it on a t-shirt.
- Alli3388, on 07/08/2009, -0/+11Wouldn't the farmers whose crop is partly ruined be pissed???
- GovernmentsGun, on 07/08/2009, -1/+12In a few days, we'll find it's advertisement for the new 2012 movie coming up.
- kaoitik, on 07/08/2009, -1/+12That circle looks awesome. Props to the artist, whoever you are.
- slide2k, on 07/08/2009, -1/+12I think that the aliens USED to do the crop circles with their UFO's, but they realized that it was just too expensive that way- too much overhead. So now they pay local human artists to sneak out into fields and do it at night. No need for disappointment, the aliens are still the ones ultimately responsible, even if it's only in a fiscal sense.
- Khast, on 07/08/2009, -1/+11"Crop circle theorists believe the patterns are created by UFOs during nocturnal visits, or caused by natural phenomena such as unusual forms of lightning striking the earth. "

- slide2k, on 07/08/2009, -0/+9Cropocalypse.
- redwolfwalker, on 07/08/2009, -11/+20Yes,There are some that have been proven to have been made by pranksters with boards on their feet, but some of the crop circles have no explanation as to the "artist" and in some cases appear more complex than the human made ones.
- adremali, on 07/08/2009, -1/+9this is pretty impressive
- stuffradio, on 07/08/2009, -0/+8So don't put quotes around it then :)
A quote is meant to signify you're quoting something word for word, not paraphrasing. - HCProgramr, on 07/08/2009, -0/+8DON'T PANIC.
However, I would suggest getting a towel. - borez, on 07/08/2009, -0/+7It's gonna happen twice. Good lord we are doomed.
- oriondr, on 07/08/2009, -1/+8duh?
- pfhayter, on 07/08/2009, -0/+7My cat's breath smells like cat food.
- schnikies79, on 07/08/2009, -1/+7Of course he knows that the crop circle is Mayan, he probably made it.
