- PATSCRU, on 10/10/2007, -20/+66I for one welcome our half-assed-image-submission overlords.
- MasterThief117, on 10/10/2007, -5/+43I actually like the way the submitter wrote the description.
Dugg. - IADTatami, on 10/10/2007, -0/+34Meanwhile, we give our children stimulants to help them pay attention in school.
- bobcrotch, on 10/10/2007, -4/+22Clearly he doesn't have enough eCred to dislike your submission.
- yargthepirate, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19So whenever your kids complain about their math homework, just show them a picture of a meth addict's teeth and ask them which one they'd prefer.
- superfusion, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Al Roker,
not Al Qaeda. - Bloc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14On digg, NO-ONE insults math(s). NO-ONE.
- TheAkolyte, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13You lost, get over it.
- HCJfilms, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13They lost the "Without Pi, we'd die" stencil
- navster15, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Hmm. So this is why my "Geography, Not Cocaine" campaign never took off...
- TheAkolyte, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9So the real message is... meth AND math!
- flashboy131, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14is Meth really such a big widespread problem that we need a slogan?
- outhouseinput, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9All the words are spelled right, capitalized, and spaced out properly. Basically, it doesn't look like crap. Dugg.
- Aslander, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I was expecting the image to be of a sign for a Math Lab that they misspelled. "July 31st - Free Meth Lab - Greenview Elementary School"
- pbaehr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Just wait until the DEA starts cracking down on all those Math Labs.
- Azimuth1, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11Haven't heard that meme in a while.
- ripple123, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7If i recall correctly, Erdos, one of the most published and famous mathematicians of our time, drank a lot of coffee, and later switched to prescription amphetamines. He pretty much invented the field of discrete math. One of his colleagues bet him he couldn't go a month without his pills, which he promptly did, and at the end of the month he told his colleague that he had set back the advancement of math by a month.
- BenCoJones, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Nothing gets kids to do their homework like a bottle full of amphetamines...
- lordthor, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7"Clearly he doesn't have enough eCred to dislike your submission."
(best thing i've heard all day) - FlagrantDrugUse, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Hugs, not drugs...*sparks bowl*
- jamangold, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Spelling Bees, not LSD
Biology, not DMT
History, not Heroin
Gay and Lesbian Studies, not 5-methoxy-alpha-methyltryptamine
(on and on and on) - Peebert, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7No, but neglect of math is. :)
- reflex768, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8It's a good plan. Trouble is, I know a few kids who'd pick the teeth.
- brstilson, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8It's popular in the south because you can't distinguish wrinkly teeth-falling-out meth heads from the general population.
- betterth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6In many states, especially in the US South, meth is nothing less than a drug "epidemic". It's cheap to acquire, easy to make, about as good as heroin and ***** you up a lot more.
- ninsei, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Yes.
- DiggFight, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Guy must have been on meth when he came up with that stupid slogan.
- vammirato, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9Sigh, this made it out mere days in front of my "Crank Ain't Dank" campaign.
- outhouseinput, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The guys arm from Requiem for a Dream? Show kids that and they will wish they were in school all day.
- bobcrotch, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I think he was describing how much your description sucked.
- fleischner, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I think it also has to contain something like this: "Best. Graffiti. EVER."
- adml_shake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It's a HUGE problem in Souther Indiana where I grew up. I know a lot of people who are sitting in jail now after getting busted cooking that stuff up. When your job options are either contruction crews, factory work, farming, or meth maker/dealer and you make more money faster doing the last one it's not hard to see why so many kids and adults choose it.
- moxley, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It wouldn't surprise me one bit:
"Yes, see - these chemists who manufacture Methamphetamine use MATH to figure out the formulas for the drug. This is why from here on out Math beyond addition will require a federal license - those who study Math without a license will risk fines, incarceration, or both. We cannot allow criminal mathmeticians to reign free with their drug manufacturing ways.."
....the real ***** up part, is that in this day and age in America, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see that.... - u5bLue, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3What an uninteresting photo.
- blurplevtx, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6I looked at this Flickr image and the message just doesn't add up..
- mathDoc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2DUI = Deriving Under the Influence ??
- nakani, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2haha I know tons of kids in college who blow adderall to cram for their math finals
- onineko, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I need to stay off 4chan. I saw "DEA: Feces of Math."
- BESTenemy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2- What's your major?
- Methematics! - haggie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Our history club's anti-smoking fund raiser was: "Skip the nicotine, study the Byzantine."
- jhugg, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6Should be, "Maths not Meths"
- dragon76, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Now you know why so many urban black men get into illegal activities. You can either be big pimpin or flipping burgers.
- moxley, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2That is EXACTLY how it works in a lot of places - but most people don't want to know that.
- LoopyChew, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Not in America, it ain't.
- moxley, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2SO this is the next stupid law we'll see come out of the harmful scam called the "War on Drugs."
A DEA agent today held a press conference about the latest new tool in the War on Drugs, the "Math = Meth" act:
"Yes, see - these chemists who manufacture Methamphetamine use MATH to figure out the formulas for the drug. This is why from here on out Math beyond addition will require a federal license - those who study Math without a license will risk fines, incarceration, or both. We cannot allow criminal mathmeticians to reign free with their drug manufacturing ways.."
....the real ***** up part, is that in this day and age in America, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see that.... - edwartica, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Meth is nothing more than a scapegoat for all of society's woes.
- reflex768, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1S'kay Patscru. I was kind of being of jerk yesterday anyway. As my chat above reveals, I get tired of the anti-image complaints when there's no picture section.
- Peebert, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Psychoanalysis, not psychotropics
(jump in anytime) - spyd3rweb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1take these legal ADD drugs and stay in school
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Looking at Mandelbrot set will make thing you're on Acid.
