- RadioFreeOpium, on 10/11/2007, -11/+96I know this will end up turning into a gun control debate so I will go ahead and say it: stupid people shouldn't be allowed to own a gun. Its that simple. Obviously the guy had problems if he held chili sauce in such a high degree.
- barryiggins, on 10/11/2007, -3/+87I don't know, Wendy's chili sauce is pretty awesome...
- jmazzi, on 10/11/2007, -3/+75Its about time someone took a stand on the condiment policy.
- asaturn, on 10/11/2007, -12/+81wouldn't a gun control idiot say "this wouldn't have happened if guns were outlawed!"?
- dylan420, on 10/11/2007, -16/+76I'm in ur drive-thruz, demanding more saucez
- informality, on 10/11/2007, -3/+59Never get between a man and his chili sauce.
- bickdigg, on 10/11/2007, -1/+48A 4th Chili sauce? Sure, from my cold, dead hands!
- IHaveIssues, on 10/11/2007, -10/+51The U.S. seems particularly crazy.

- Nergal, on 10/11/2007, -3/+34Beacause Dave Thomas is not around anymore to protect us from all of the bad thing in the world.
- rrasco, on 10/11/2007, -6/+32In Germany you have to have a mental certification to own a gun.
- kardonn, on 10/11/2007, -4/+28he must of thought he was at burger king where you can have it your way
- MCGrunge1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20Article says he was already given TEN packets of sauce. At what point does he change his inquiry to "Can I have more chili with my sauce?"
- mywhitenoise, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21Achalemoipas, you do know that a lot of murderers, terrorists, thieves, rapist, and such are very intelligent people, and could easily pass an IQ test, right? You ***** moron.
- StillGaming, on 10/11/2007, -11/+30Let ARE kids have guns.
- asaturn, on 10/11/2007, -4/+22this was Wendy's, not KFC.
- TheKricket, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20"Police are still searching for the chili sauce shooter..."
ZING! - axel2k1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17This brings back memories of the woman who ran over a McDonald's manager because they didn't put mayonnaise on her hamburger. If you are going to be so picky about your food that you'll commit murder if it doesn't satisfy your palette, I suggest that you don't go to a fast food restaurant to begin with.
- thrallie, on 10/11/2007, -7/+23You cant have the government say who is stupid and who isn't, thats government discrimination. Someone is always stupid in one area or another. That would be a disaster if government decided to tell us who is stupid and who isn't. Guns should always be legal, but my gut tells me this guys gun wasn't legal. Even in a world of guns being illegal, the criminals would still have them.
- TheMidnight, on 10/11/2007, -6/+22All your packets are belong to us. Manager have no chance to survive make your time.
- CiXeL, on 10/11/2007, -6/+21dude this is miami. this should come as no surprise.
the walgreens near my work was robbed this morning in miami beach.
this is what happens when government fails and allows a place to degrade into a third world country. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+20"You're retarded. If guns aren't as easy to get, dumber people wont be able to get them. If dumber people wont be able to get them, less dumb people will shoot people. It's not a matter of guns being bad or good (black and white) it's a matter of stupid people who can't control themselves being able to get their hands on guns (gray). It's ridiculous black/white thinking like this that probably causes a large percent of the world's problems."
Keeping guns away from people that wish to use them for harm is a fools dream. You need a big time Real Life check if you think thats ever gonna happen here. The amount of guns already in existance in the USA makes that just about impossible.
Not to mention that its against the constitution, the highest law of the land. - asaturn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14what's funny is, the manager was actually coming to his car with a BAG FULL OF MORE SAUCE FOR HIM when he got shot (I saw it on CNN).
- buff01, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16not that the employee had anything to do with it, he was just following directions. BUT, these fast food joints that charge for condiments? GO ***** YOURSELF.
- sonaboy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+17I have an IQ of 148 and i've shot 4 people in the face who weren't as SMART AS ME.
i confound your statistical data at every turn!!!!! - mywhitenoise, on 10/11/2007, -12/+25So how are they going to measure someone's stupidity? IQ tests? Psychological observation? Grades received in high school? How many car accidents they've had? History of domestic abuse?
Your argument is flawed, and ***** stupid...therefore, you shouldn't be able to buy a gun. - kardonn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13oh and he must play a lot of GTA
- TheClassic, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12I didn't realize you could get Chili sauce. Now I'm looking forward to getting some next time I go to Wendy's. I feel odd about the circumstances that led to me finding out about it, and I'm sure I'll feel odd when I ask for the chili sauce too.
- choppinbroccoli, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12Reminds me of that movie, Falling Down (with Michael Douglas):
Bill Foster: "Why am I calling you by your first names? I don't even know you. I still call my boss "Mister", and I've been working for him for seven years, but all of a sudden I walk in here and I'm calling you Rick and Sheila like we're in some kind of AA meeting... I don't want to be your buddy, Rick. I just want some breakfast."
Great scene. - diggan8, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12I'm going to Wendy's right now, and asking for 4 packets.
I ***** dare them to say "no". - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -17/+27@mac26 You're retarded. If guns aren't as easy to get, dumber people wont be able to get them. - mywhitenoise, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10He was given 10, did you not read this article? The manager was also bringing a bag with more.
- ronh, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Can I get extra...... (long uneasy pause) chili sauce?
- MCGrunge1, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10We all know that McDonalds sucks, but "symbolize the decline of Western civilization"... I think you're reaching there.
- tdogg241, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9I try to stick to locally-owned fast food places these days. I figure if I'm gonna eat food that's bad for me, it might as well be good for the local economy. Screw big fast food.
- FortyCaliber, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11yes, that warrants murder, in my book.
- catalysis, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9It was probably some guy who was just eating the sauce. If you think I'm kidding, you have never worked at a fast food restaurant.
On a similar note, when I was a kid working at BK, we had to have armed security for a week because someone threatened the life of an employee over a mixed up order. Fast food is the on the front lines of the dark underbelly of America - ahughes, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9I sit on the fence on this issue.
On the one hand, I am against violence as a solution to this situation.
On the other hand, limiting a person to 3 packets is stupid. They would cut down on so much waste if they just bought it in bulk and used dispensers that could be refilled. - KSUdesigner, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8"Ehh.. The meat in the chili is a chopped up hamburger. I've had grill marks on the meat in the chili. It's all rather crappy"
Well what the hell is it supposed to be? I don't know what you do, but when most people make chili at home they use...chopped up hamburger! There really isn't much wrong with Wendy's chili. I worked there for 4 years and all the chili meat is just regular old hamburger patties pulled straight off the grill that have gotten too done to serve on a sandwich. It's put in a holding drawer and then frozen if not being used right away. Then it's boiled in water and chopped up into pieces (no smaller than a pea, no bigger than a quarter according to Wendy's guidelines). Then you toss in a bag of vegetables, couple cans of beans and a can of "chili base," whatever the hell that is. I'd worry more about the chili base than the meat, if anything. Oh, and about the grill marks on the meat...that's because it was cooked on a ***** grill moron. What do you want them to do, throw it in a microwave? - qwertydvorak, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7from someone who worked at wendy's in high school: the burgers are never frozen fresh beef, they are cooked on a grill and only pulled off the grill once you order your burger. if the burger starts getting too done, they throw it in the chili meat pan. that is why wendy's burgers are usually nice and greasy and fresh and tasty. your miles may vary though because if you have idiot employees and managers, the cook will overdo the burgers and serve them anyway. that can happen at any restaurant though.
- thrallie, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10Achalemoipas: that sounds sort of like china and their limiting population with forced abortions and such. Oh wait, that didn't work did it? They have a giant population. Not only that but they are PAYING people to have a girl because of the amount of boys in china. ( I use this example, because it is government failing to control something)
Government control over anything like that will not work. Should a private company be able to IQ test someone who wants a gun? Absolutely. Should government? NO. Why? Because with a private company the market decides if that stays or not, with government they are always there. They don't have an incentive to fix their problems.
I should mention before people digg me down for promoting capitalism that I am promoting true free market and true capitalism, not corporatism which we have now. Currently corporations have lots of control over government, Why? Because government lets them, not only that but large corporations get hand outs from government. A corporation is a government idea, invented by government. It is not true free market, it is government invading the private sector. - one1plus1one, on 10/11/2007, -9/+16I have to say: Wendy's is the only fast food left that still seems like "real food" (especially if you order a baked potato with chili on the side, and mix them together).
In contrast, lately, everyone I know who eats at McDonalds complains of upset stomach's afterwards. I can't stomach McDonald's anymore, which is a bit sad because I have great childhood memories of McDonalds. The decline in quality of McDonald's food, in a way, seems to symbolize the decline of Western civilization! (Or maybe you just have to be between the ages of 4 and 12 to appreciate the McDonald's experience.) - fortressgame, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Sometimes to save 10 cents on hot sauce, you gotta spill some blood!
- mywhitenoise, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9Oh my god, the kid was just doing his job. He doesn't deserve to be shot several times in the arm. Should I shoot you for your ridiculous comment? People need to calm the ***** down.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+15"No, USA is a crazy place because of some antiquated gun laws that are only rivaled by Jesus in worshiping.
This does not happen in any other 1st world countries."
Wanna bet? - 955701, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I was eating at a taco bell on the corner of Sandy Plains and Shallowford in Marietta, GA about two years ago. Some commotion started up behind the counter when a man pulled up to the drive through window in a pickup truck with his son in the passenger seat. Apparently, his life was so stressful he decided to take it out on the girl working the window and chucked his drink back at her, hitting her square in the chest with it.
She made her way to the lobby's exit to attack the guy, who by than time, pulled around to a parking space near the door and began taunting her. Two other guys working there grabbed her and pulled her back in the store while the manager called the cops then confronted the guy.
Here's where things become a very strange mix of political correctness, covering your ass as a middle manager, and the realities of problem solving Southern-style. The manager is talking to the guy in the truck trying to stall while the cops (who NEVER showed up) were in route. He was APOLOGETIC to the dirt-bag who just attacked his employee and at one point was trying to give the guy his money back. Just a few minutes before, the guy was firing racial slurs at the guys keeping the girl back (they were both black, as was the manager). This progressed for one burrito and a pair of soft tacos. Just when I was about to leave, the girls FATHER shows up and delivers the most wreckless, bare-footed, missing tooth, tank topped can of whoop ass I have ever seen in my life. That guy lit up out of the parking lot with his kid when a Dad with a pair of gonads showed up to defend his daughter. As a parting shot he mowed down a few bushes and jumped a curb. Tried to add a link in google maps.

I guarantee if the manager had done anything to defend the employee he would have been fired and taco bell would have been sued. - asaturn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7it was a manager, actually.
