- kurisu10, on 06/29/2009, -0/+37Bout time one of them got hauled off to jail for that crap. Every time I read a story like this it seems like the person gets away with it.
- inactive, on 06/29/2009, -0/+28Wow... That is just sad.
- InfectedTuna, on 06/30/2009, -1/+21I feel WAY better about my day now. I feel secure in knowing that no matter what I do today it won't be as dumb as what this retard did. Thank you digg for the self esteem boost.
- Rudegar, on 06/30/2009, -1/+17are you the strange creepy guy they talk about always taking the drive-thru ? :P
- Halsfield, on 06/30/2009, -0/+16Having worked a good number of retail/fast food places, I can safely say that idiot customers make the job 100x harder than it ever needs to be. They will try to get you fired for their mistakes, move price tags and then demand they get the new price or they will sue, and just generally be as abrasive as possible to try to get their way (and a lot of times they get it simply because the manager doesnt want to deal with it). It is also amazing how much sexual harassment goes on between customers and young women that goes unpunished.
There was a lady that bought a $2000 rainbow macaw from the pet store I worked at, seemed intelligent, took it home in a bird carrier covered with a towel to keep it calm, opened the door to the carrier to "let her doberman greet it so they would get along" and the doberman ripped its head off , instantly killing it, and this lady tried to bring the bird back for a refund. We called humane services and the police but the woman left, I don't know if they tracked her down by her membership card information but we never saw her again. - caintrain, on 06/30/2009, -3/+15This appears to be a growing trend in society, when something goes wrong people call the government to fix the problem instead of solving it between themselves.
- alanocu, on 06/29/2009, -7/+19The first sentence makes no sense. But you proved the second one.
- EmitStop, on 06/29/2009, -0/+10Video + Some of the highlights from the recordings: http://www.kgw.com/video/video-index.html?nvid=375 ...
- deff, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9I'm glad they arrested the *****, but it makes me sad to say I live in Clackamas County.
Seems Clackamas is full of disturbed or gakked out individuals. - CoD4, on 06/30/2009, -3/+11cheg cheg
YOU ARE GONNA LIKE SOME FRIES WITH THAT - Yazilliclick, on 06/30/2009, -0/+7And then promptly be torn apart on digg when a real emergency is missed because the person was panicking and didn't answer properly.
Digg. It goes both ways. - Nexus010, on 06/30/2009, -0/+6I'm so glad that guy was jailed, what a waste of a vital service on a frankly moronic reason!
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -1/+6I seriously don't want to be that guy, but what's up with the black community and Maaacdonalds?
It seems like we're hearing a new story about this every month. - travcm, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5Best thing to do when fast food restaurants screw you over is to be patient and file a complaint through their website. Usually you'll be more than compensated.
- PaulClayberg, on 06/30/2009, -0/+4This describes the entirety of high-rise Metro station neighbourhoods in the DC area. The crazies grow exponentially.
- Hero0fTime, on 06/30/2009, -0/+4Keep an eye out for a guy in a striped jail suit and a floppy hat going by the name of "The Hamburgler".
- Hetman, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3I try not to say this in a mean way but people are ignorant. They obviously do not understand the difference between the BBB and 911. It is sad.
- FallenTurtles, on 06/30/2009, -1/+4How much freedom are you guys given to tell these people how ridiculous they're being? I worked at the place you call before you dig, and if we ever said anything 1/100th as "aggressive" as this dispatcher did, I would have been fired. I know 911 is more important in regard to keeping lines free, so I'm curious, how much can you get away with?
- FritoPendejo, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3That's because you live in LA.
- MikeFromAmerica, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3If that were the case, then this guy would have died:
http://digg.com/pets_animals/Dog_Dials_911_When_Ow ... - jeddyftb, on 06/30/2009, -2/+5That's one hell of a plan b
- LawScholar, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3There is nothing good about who you are or what you do.
- me2000, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3Whacko...
- TroyPDX, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3Yeah what's up with Clackamas county? Land of meth, Tonya Harding, inbreeding and Ward Weaver. You should escape while you can.
- InfectedTuna, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Solid point ..... I work in education sooooooooooo ..... again good point.
- Hawkeye1959, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2You arent drinking the county water are you lol
- gamerbambi, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2True. I guess it depends in the area. A crackhead bum inside a McDonalds in downtown LA was screaming "I am glad Michael Jackson died" this weekend. The Manager called police and the bum left running. Pretty scary. I wish I had a camera to get that on video and post it here on Digg... but the chances of getting that on Front page would have been very low anyways...
- milkmage, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2are you really that stupid?
Jeremy Martin called 911 to report that McDonald's didn't give him correct change. When that didn't work, he claimed a McDonald's employee was holding a gun to his head. - CobraClutch, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2I love Dicks
- jiggawatt, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2What's with all the 911 calls from McD's these days? Is Burger King sponsoring 911?
- Sol1, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2The Jerry Springer effect!
- MacEnvy, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Tell me about it. I live 3 blocks from the Silver Spring metro, and it's like crazy central.
- yuanzhoulu, on 06/30/2009, -1/+3when a person is panicking, they don't usually speak of mcdonald's burgers that came with the wrong toppings.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Hamburgers are serious business.
- MarkOfTheDead, on 06/30/2009, -1/+3I know, right? At the one near me, they get away with shooting like 3 customers a week.
- moxley, on 06/30/2009, -2/+4Next time here's your headline:
Man calls 911 FALSELY claiming that McD' employee held him at gunpoint." - EmitStop, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1I would have but digg is a bitch about the amount of characters allowed in a title.
I was hoping the description would be enough of a clue. - CaviMike, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1gakked?
- alpha94, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1This reminds of the story of the woman you called 911 when she wasn't happy with her order at Burger King.
- emt1451, on 06/30/2009, -1/+2I say he should serve 5 years.
- PaulClayberg, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Ballson, please.
- mlvassallo, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1"With Fourth of July fast approaching dispatchers warn everyone not to call 9-1-1 with noise complaints; police won't respond to them. "
Portland, OR has it figured out... now if my neighborhood would just get on the ball... - AraleNorimaki, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1http://esarsea.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/ronald- ...
- inigomntoya, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1"I feel secure in knowing that no matter what I do today it won't be as dumb as what this retard did."
The day is still young. Never underestimate the influence of having to deal with a complete idiot. It might just lead you to do something much more rash and retarded... - dpeeples281, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1haha I'm a 911 dispatcher in Texas and I would friek out on somebody if they called for that
- Yazilliclick, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1@yuanz Good call, unfortunately that's not what you said before so doesn't defend it.
- JohnnySoftware, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1There are terms for this, "filing a false report" and "abuse of 911 service".
On the other hand, he was eating at McDonalds and ignoring the multiple risk vectors as the food makes its way from the counter, through the slaughterhouse, to the counter. - Itaintrite, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1What a retard. I wonder if he knows that there's such a device that records video.
- AraleNorimaki, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1you got to love it?
http://www.culinaryperformance.com/uploaded_images ... - EmitStop, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Tonya Harding is Clark County. (Unfortunately my county)
