- scrappyvintage, on 11/26/2007, -3/+25Please let this be the end of, "The Hills."
- markwilcox, on 11/26/2007, -0/+16Wasn't the first one caused by a 10-year-old kid?
- dougbarrett, on 11/26/2007, -0/+14Picture I took yesterday from the hills in Ventura of the billowing smoke.

- LxRogue, on 11/26/2007, -3/+14Malibu has fires all the time, but this one was huge. FYI not everyone who lives there is a celebrity.
- scallon, on 11/26/2007, -1/+8There is no such thing.
- NathanLoehlein, on 07/27/2009, -1/+7Or those who like to have their beach houses in Hurricane areas?
- Sedako, on 11/26/2007, -5/+11The terrorists must be at it again, right Fox?
- Puppetfunk, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5I thought some kid admitted he accidentally started the first one?
- sealjosh, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5My thoughts and prayers are with my brothers fighting the fires out there.

- inactive, on 11/26/2007, -0/+4 Didn't they catch some Guatemalan guy lighting one last time? Anyway I heard Flea from the Chili Peppers got his house burned down, I hope it's not true.
- LxRogue, on 11/26/2007, -0/+4and here's a better article http://www.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUSN2 ...
- squirrelza, on 11/26/2007, -0/+4Stole the idea from Weeds
- seanhive, on 11/26/2007, -1/+4"A Malibu resident told KNBC that she knocked on the homes of both Minnie Driver and Matthew McConaughey this morning to tell them they had to leave their homes due to the fire. Matthew’s rep said that he was evacuated, but that everything is fine. A rep for Minnie could not be reached."
Minnie noooooooooooo!!!! - EmileVictor, on 11/26/2007, -0/+3Of course, we also have to keep in mind that fires are completely natural... They are needed to keep many forests in good health. That's the reason why Australian Aborigines used to light massive fires in places when they left them so that they would be regenerated when they came back to it. I've heard of some firefighters in Australia who light fires like this deliberately (away from inhabited places) in order to get the same effect. Continually back-burning isn't as natural as a fully-blown forest fire.
Back-burning however tends to prevent these larger fires. So I don't really understand what you're talking about... - CiDaemon, on 11/26/2007, -0/+3http://duggmirror.com/offbeat_news/Malibu_On_Fire_ ...
- pintomp3, on 11/26/2007, -0/+2or mobile homes in tornado alley.
- inactive, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Hey, Matthew McConaughey is pretty bad ass, just watch Reign of Fire without getting a boner when he grunts like a friggin beast. I mean, sure, he has the word ghey in his name, but he plays a character worthy of his own story.
- drjborg, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Why do you think this?
- aflaks, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1celebcrust.com? That is the MOST credible website ever!

- annonimality, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Cool pic, I used to live in Ventura. Was that picture shot from the Ventura Ave. area?
- OisinT, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1yeah... I hope his Tesla Roadster is ok!
- Grumps, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Its not true, was mentioned in the article.
- zdiddy85, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Wow account suspended. If you're just posting a photo, use Flickr for god's sakes.

- Richandler, on 11/26/2007, -1/+2It was a kid. Of course every hack journalist will tell you it was global warming.
- Smight, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1I don't but "environmentalists" who have never studied forestry do.
- Slackdragon, on 11/26/2007, -1/+1Lame attempt to try to tie in a neocon agenda. Epic Fail.

- robsonde, on 11/26/2007, -1/+1over 95% of all fires are cause by one of three things....
1. man
2. woman
3. children. - TerrorByteX, on 11/26/2007, -1/+1I love how it says:
"Matthew’s rep said that he was evacuated, BUT that everything is fine." - Grumps, on 11/26/2007, -1/+1Last month's fire was found to have been caused by downed power lines. (Confirm by AP)
- iiBeLiEvE, on 11/26/2007, -2/+1OH NO, save the celebs!
And their little dogs too. - mal1964, on 11/26/2007, -2/+1What does worrying do?
- thewump, on 11/26/2007, -4/+3dugg because it has a hot picture of Minie Driver
- craprock, on 11/26/2007, -6/+4Agreed. 1/3 of the article just to say that there are celebrities there that could be in trouble?! Mainstream Media Motto: "***** the firefighters, how are the celebrities?!"
- Smight, on 11/26/2007, -4/+2I don't care how many celebrities have to die or millions of acres of forest have to burn as long as it keeps people from performing controlled burns.
- Hipple, on 11/26/2007, -3/+1So no one should ever live in a place that might experience fires or floods? Really?
- blazes816, on 11/26/2007, -4/+1I was reading an article the other day about how the wild fires are so bad, because of all the preventative measures against them. Instead of small fast fires that burn on the undergrowth, there are these massive fires whenever some idiot throws a cigarette out of the window. If I find the article again I'll post it in a reply in case anybody is interested.
- KewlerKid3, on 11/26/2007, -15/+0The fires need to stop...seriously. Why can't people learn to be smart?
