- Scogras, on 10/11/2007, -4/+67One more gimmick to help us get f-d up!
- flamingmb, on 10/11/2007, -6/+61To bad this gimmick is over a year old. I remember reading about it a long time ago, people were pissed because kids would buy it. Old news.
this is from 2005 http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,1564,1596657,00.html - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -16/+70if i cant cook it down into rocks and smoke it, im not interested

- jjjjjjb, on 10/11/2007, -1/+53It may be illegal in your country to drink alcohol under the age of 21, but it's certainly not the case everywhere.
- bgfinkel, on 10/11/2007, -3/+52watch kool aid pick this up
- 09f91102, on 10/11/2007, -3/+47Looks like I'll have something else to give to the kiddies this Halloween besides Fentanyl pops
- Nick22, on 10/11/2007, -6/+45Weed is already dry you idiot.
- stonedgeek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+35Only 3%? I'll have to use 3 or 4 packets. Or mix it in with my whiskey.
- johndi, on 10/11/2007, -3/+37Lawmakers making it illegal to drink under 21 didn't change much either. People have looked for altered states of consciousness as long as their have been people to look. If only we were smart enough to stop fighting it and use mind altering substances responsibly. Some cultures still do.
- cactus476, on 10/11/2007, -1/+35Hey, now I can get drunk while backpacking!
- ZWarren69, on 10/11/2007, -3/+35HOORAY BEER!
- tippmann1, on 10/11/2007, -7/+37I like to stick razer blades and dirty heroin needles in apples and hand those out

"Because the alcohol is not in liquid form, we can sell it to people below 16," said project member Martyn van Nierop.
The legal age for drinking alcohol and smoking is 16 in the Netherlands.
wtf pre-high school kids are they trying to get drunk!? at that age, we were happy enough to get some candy. - CaptainZipTie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+30I can see use of this ending in tears:
"Hey Jimmy, you should try snorting it" - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+27Yeah, you guys are pretty much the only ones with the crazy 21 rule. The age here in Ontario, Canada is 19. Also, Europe, (where this is from) is much more liberal as a society when it comes to drinking. North Americans are pretty uptight about it compared to the rest of the world. I always thought Germany did it best- 16 for beer and wines, 18 for spirits etc.
- unloud, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27Okay, he had to have been joking. . .
You were joking. . . right? - CatalystDM, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+23Hey, in college my house's chem majors used to make 'Green Dragon'. It was liquid extract of weed. They didn't make it by soaking grass in alcohol, that can get toxic. One Dixie cup was like one fat blunt. Because you absorbed it through the stomach and intestine, it didn't act right away. So if you drank too much too soon before you felt it acting, you could get totally overloaded and really messed up. Three small cups and you were useless for the next 24 hours.
- Wonkanobi, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21I guarantee people will be snorting this stuff
- mhockey14221, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19good luck on 3% alcohol content
- mishabear, on 10/11/2007, -3/+20Of course age is no indication of maturity, as we can attest to in these forums. I don't care if teens get drunk as long as they are no danger to anyone or anything. Unfortunately, they usually are.
- benijuana, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18I snorted an altoid on a dare in the 7th grade. I imagine powdered alcohol is 100x worse, and you'd probably lose your sense of smell
- agrabob, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16yeah, while this is cool for adults. It looks as though this is marketed for kids.
'"Because the alcohol is not in liquid form, we can sell it to people below 16," said project member Martyn van Nierop.' - thespudmall, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I have snorted that lucas chili powder... boy that stung and hurt like hell.
- armbar, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14Has anyone NOT snorted pixy stix? This probably has a similar burning sensation, if not worse.
- Aliarse, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12@0x0000ff (#7059877)
4% is a heavy beer? Are you nuts? Alcopops, which are commonly seen as girls drinks in the UK, have at least 5%.
Super Tennants and other "super/strong" brands is considered heavy over here, coming in at 9%. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Well seeing as how some beers are 5-6% I wouldn't call it impossible. You'll just have to use the washroom many, many times.
- smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11caramel covered onions are always a fun surprise.
PS. fentanyl pops are delicious--mmm, raspberry... - fkr3, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Too bad "they say" is not quite the same as "the government says".
- nreisan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10not in australia
18 =) - TalkingBanana, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11Can it be snorted?
- tekmonkey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9I'm sure if the legal age for liquid alcohol is 16, legislators will soon expand that to include alcohol in any form. Although, this is the Netherlands...
- oxdeltaxo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10@ davidrools
In certain European countries parents give their kids booze at a much younger age than North American parents. Take Italians for example the start pretty damn early, but by no means do all Italians turn into hard core alcoholics. It's not that kids want to get drunk at that age, not like you could off of 3% anyways, it's just society that drinks in general. - bIuebonics, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9if that were the case there'd be a lot more injuries. i think you severely underestimate the amount of teenagers who drink.
- Lazyboy0172, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8why use water to mix it? will mixing it with more alcohol work??
- Aliarse, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9@thrallie (#7059588)
Problem is, most parents are just as clueless about "mind altering drugs" as the children they're trying to teach.
I blame Governments, and the stupid programs they run like "Dare" and "Talk2Frank" for spouting nothing but BS which these parents believe as gospel. - bennettp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7For anyone wondering, it sounds like @0x0000ff is referring to beer strengths in Australia. Most full-strength beers are 4.8% alcohol, because if it's higher, it gets taxed at a higher rate.
Also, in Australia, "light" beer refers to alcoholic content; whereas, in the US, it refers to the number of calories in the drink. - comradeTJH, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Swiss youth is more fortunate. Beer and wine from 16 years. Harder stuff from 18.
Hooray for liberalism and common sense. - Bersy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7His name actually means "Harm your parents" in dutch.
- WaterDragon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7FTA
"We are aiming for the youth market. They are really more into it because you can compare it with Bacardi-mixed drinks," 20-year-old Harm van Elderen told Reuters."
OK..so....the guy who wants to make alcohol available to kids of all ages...is named....Harm.
Somehow, it makes perfect sense. - iZealot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Well the alcohol IS NOT powder, the alcohol is encapsulated in a substance (sugar). So yea you could say its "powdered" alcohol, but do some research and you'll find that its not. This is sold "technically" as an "extract" for that reason, therefor making it legal for minors to buy.
- thrallie, on 10/11/2007, -10/+16I believe the alcohol age should be lowered or abolished, and drugs should be legalized. I think kids parents should teach them about alcohol and other mind altering drugs when they think they are ready. Is it really any business of government to parent or to even tell you what you can put in your body. It is an invasion on personal liberty.

"OH YEAH!" - chiliwilli, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6how come i never learned any of this stuff in chem class
- catalysis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6because you were stoned all the time
- valkyries, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6uhm Russia has had that for along time developed for their cosmonauts
- Demus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6In Germany at service stations there is something called Elephant beer sold at service stations which is sold by the hlaf litre bottle.....about a pint and is 7 per cent ABV. In Europe there's less abuse than US etc cos they get used to drinking and clubbing semi-responsibly, rather than having to hide it from parents etc in the US and then going crazy when they get to 21
