- sUGArDawg, on 10/31/2007, -17/+153We need more juries like this one
- vamos, on 10/31/2007, -14/+79Death is too good for her - why don't we send her to Iraq and trade her with the terrorists for some of our POWs over there?
- Ajajadude, on 10/28/2007, -4/+69Not that huge of a fan of the death penalty, but I have to agree with what was said in the article about how this kind of thing is what the death penalty is meant for.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -22/+78Hopefully she'll be executed by the old Chinese method of death by 1000 cuts. She doesn't deserve to die quickly and painlessly.
- VincentVega12, on 10/31/2007, -5/+32You just undermined your entire view on getting rid of the death penalty. The entire point is that we shouldn't allow the system to decide who lives or who dies (due to the innocent people that have been put to death). You've just ***** all over that by making that judgement yourself.
- rhylan, on 10/29/2007, -10/+35Do we still do abortions at the age of 39?
- jmgoody311, on 10/29/2007, -18/+42I don't believe in the death penalty, but this vile excuse for a human being deserves it. Honestly, why would you do that do someone? It's just sick.
- thcobbs, on 10/29/2007, -0/+23She may not deserve to die quickly and painlessly, but she should. If we, as a society are going to put someone to death, there should be no more suffering by the condemned. Although we as a society, do feel pain for each death in this manner.
- HugoNaught, on 10/28/2007, -1/+24I remember that case-the killer already had 5 or so children.
- 0Degrees, on 10/29/2007, -4/+26I'm getting pretty sick of reading comments that are along the lines of:
"I don't believe in the death penalty but in this case it's okay."
Either you DO or you DON'T believe in the death penalty, there is no grey area. If you think in this case it is permissible, then you clearly think that in SOME cases the death penalty applies and in others it does not. Doesn't this kind of sound like the stance of somebody in favor of the death penalty all together? Yes.
Eye for eye or whatever you the ***** you want to call it... Stop being pussies, if you are a ***** nut and are convicted for crimes thereof, you are not fit to live, end of story. - ttfadia, on 10/30/2007, -3/+25Isn't it? I laughed out loud too, gosh that was funny!
- felidaeus, on 10/29/2007, -4/+25"Lisa Montgomery further admitted the baby she had was Stinnett's baby and that she had lied to her husband about giving birth to a child. Espey and Graves said Montgomery had a miscarriage at some point this year, although they would not say how recently it occurred."

I almost feel sorry for her. Almost. I can see how someone with emotional issues might be driven off the bend from such an experience. However, it does not excuse such a horrible, premeditated, murder. Apparently the victim was still alive, just unconcious, when her stomach was being cut open. She woke up and tried to fight off her attacker before being struck down. - irvman21, on 10/28/2007, -2/+23It's too bad her psychosis didn't just make her suicidal, the world will be a better place when she's dead, unfortunately it will be many many years too late.
- BrainInAJar, on 10/29/2007, -23/+42"an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" -Ghandi
It's a shame that the death count for this case is going to increase. This woman obviously has serious mental problems and those should be dealt with in the medical community, not by just killing her off... - explnx, on 04/27/2009, -4/+21Come on. The same people who are usually against the death penalty suddenly start liking it when the case is really strange, like this one. Somehow all of the normal points (two deaths don't make a life, you can't take the death penalty back if you later find out the suspect was innocent, etc) go out the window.
- bitt3n, on 10/28/2007, -9/+25ya all killing is wrong. if only our forefathers had known that, we could all be speaking german and goose stepping right now.
- goforbroke, on 10/29/2007, -2/+17Murder is wrong. Killing in this case is justice.
- latinjones, on 10/30/2007, -1/+16LOL! You guys are killing me!
- akkibaba, on 10/28/2007, -0/+14The real quote by *Mohandas Karamchand GANDHI* is "An eye for an eye, and no one can spell my name right."
- SillyDigger, on 10/29/2007, -8/+22I'm pretty sure it only leaves two people blind :)
- inotocracy, on 10/28/2007, -5/+16Why is this suprising? Thats exactly what she should get.
- thecosmicpope, on 10/28/2007, -1/+11Like others here, I'm normally against the death penalty, but no other sentence is harsh enough for a sick crime. What she done was so horrific it's difficult to just think about.
- thcobbs, on 10/28/2007, -7/+17"cruel and unusual punishment" Like when you kill someone to take their baby from them?
I'm sorry, this is one punishment that FITS the crime. - 35263526, on 10/28/2007, -7/+17Wow. It's really, really hard to advocate the abolition of the death penalty after reading this.
- omgItsJon, on 10/28/2007, -4/+13What message does that send to would-be criminals? Uhhh, how about, "Don't kill people, or we will F***ing kill you back."
- jdoe562, on 10/28/2007, -0/+9Don't worry, she wasn't famous!
- patch6, on 10/29/2007, -0/+8Treatment should have occured before the fact. It's a bit too late now.
- Brianguy2000, on 10/29/2007, -6/+14I see some anti death penalty posts in here and I wonder if this had happened to someone you care about would you still be against it?
- spudnic, on 10/28/2007, -3/+11I'm against it in every instance. My problem with it is the risk of executing an innocent person. There have been a number of cases where evidence has turned up later on which would have changed the whole trial.
I've yet to hear anyone justify why it is worth the risk of killing a few innocent people here and there. - CptAmerica, on 10/28/2007, -3/+11If I could digg you up a million times I would!
- MrHawkins, on 10/29/2007, -8/+16There is insanity and then there is insanity. The insanity of cutting an unborn fetus out of a living woman goes beyond my comprehension. If the jury had delivered any other verdict than death, they would be failing in their duty to justice.
I wonder what Ghandi would say to this incident? - Zarokima, on 10/28/2007, -10/+18Indeed, let's all exercise our rights to cut unborn babies out of their mothers' wombs; that'll teach those dumb baby-lovers a thing or two!
- nygrissplz, on 10/29/2007, -5/+12I don't condone the killing she did, but I don't condone the death penalty either. She won't learn her lesson. She's getting off easy. She'll die a painless death. She should be rotting away in prison, pondering what she's done for the rest of her life. This is stupid.
- Krabid, on 10/29/2007, -1/+8Wow, Digg gets dumber every day. There are no American POWs in Iraq.
- unearth, on 10/28/2007, -1/+8Woosh
- shadeOgrey, on 10/28/2007, -1/+8I agree completely. It's amazing how many people are against the death penalty until they decide that someone deserves it. Judges aren't perfect, juries aren't perfect. There is no way to know that every person sentenced to death is actually guilty of that crime. As soon as you decide it's right in one instance, you don't have a leg to stand on when you argue against it later, when you find an innocent person is dead and no judge or jury can't take it back.
- TVarmy, on 10/28/2007, -3/+10But would that be a logical choice or an emotional choice? How often do we consider illogical, emotional decisions good decisions?
- schroeder, on 10/28/2007, -1/+8I personally don't feel the death penalty is by default a cruel and unusual punishment. I'm all for punishment fitting the crime. If some one willfully and purposefully kills an innocent person, especially in a horrific way, they obviously don't respect other peoples right to live. Those people deserve the death penalty.
- Roger, on 10/29/2007, -0/+7http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slow_slicing
***** hell. People are cruel. - Carsonauto, on 10/29/2007, -10/+17A woman received a harsh sentence?
I call BS. - thcobbs, on 10/29/2007, -1/+7Oh wait... are any of our soldiers in POW status with the terrorists?
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -4/+10death penalty is a disgrace.
- HemlockUltimate, on 10/28/2007, -0/+6YES! AFAIK life in prison is a much worse penalty than death.
- Scheissen, on 10/27/2007, -0/+6You really know how to pick them.
- rheaume, on 10/29/2007, -2/+8SICK OF THIS MENTAL ILLNESS *****! Hey I'm sick too, I'm going to slice the heads off people then say god told me to do it! Wee I get away with it!
How about this? Since she is mentally unstable how about they give her some acid before killing her and everyone in the execution chamber can wear freaky masks and they can play Rammstein on ***** volume 11, that way, they could REALLY PAY FOR IT. This is the same ***** excuse as when some goddamn child crushes another kids head with a boulder and people are all up in arms because hes so innocent. GROW SOME ***** BALLS.
/Takes deep breath
I live here in Canada where people do 10 years for murder or a few and change for rape, we thought it was working. ITS NOT. I'm sick of seeing families crying at trials because the burden of proof is so high we take whatever deal we have to to get a 'slight' conviction.
/Prepares for the digg down party and frankly doesn't care. - p51d007, on 10/29/2007, -1/+7When they eventually get around to putting her to death, I hope the lethal injection screws up, she's paralyzed, and slowly suffocates.
- epicstruggle, on 10/28/2007, -2/+8Not necessarily true, there are many cases of convicts escaping, killing other convicts and hurting/killing guards.
- scabbers, on 10/28/2007, -4/+10I can't support the death penalty, and especially not in this case where there's questionable mental health of the attacker. Life in jail/maximum security psych ward seems a bit less ---- hysterical.
- Misinformant, on 10/29/2007, -7/+13And when they caught her she was showing off the baby as her own.
#@*&ing disgusting. She deserves a lot worse than a controlled execution.
When I read about #@&* like this, I'm ashamed of humanity. - sockpuppets, on 10/27/2007, -0/+6Soylent foi gras?
