Judge: Man Who Bit Neighbor in the Face Used HIV as a Weapon watch!

mlive.com — Daniel Allen could face up to 15 years in prison after a judge today ordered him to stand trial on allegations he bit his neighbor on the face and used the HIV virus as a weapon. Allen is HIV positive and is accused of biting his neighbor through the lip, on the ear, nose and neck when he was getting a football that was errantly tossed in his yard.

    HIV has been found at low concentrations in the saliva, tears and urine of infected individuals, but there are no recorded cases of infection by these secretions and the potential risk of transmission is negligible.

    Negligible as it may be the virus is ***** lethal, a small chance is still a chance.

It certainly doesn't justify what he did, but there's a big difference between someone being constantly abused for something they have no control over until they finally crack, and someone going nuts because some poor guy accidentally tossed a football in his yard.

    I don't know if he's telling the truth or not, but either way, there's more to this than some random assault.
