- thenativeraver, on 10/10/2007, -3/+49I bet it was mushrooms, not acid.
- rubored, on 10/10/2007, -3/+41LSD is destroyed when heated...
Yeah, I'm going with Mushrooms...
I had a bad dish in a back-alley 'restraunt' in Bali, with what I thought was field mushrooms.
What a night that was.. - ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -3/+37Best pizza ever?
- TehSwat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+26"He said he felt like his body and system were melting from the inside out, like he was living in a kaleidoscope,"
Dugg. - swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -5/+25"[the Janitor] went to an emergency room at an area hospital where it was found that he "had a controlled dangerous substance running through his bloodstream." Well, that rules out LSD, it's not detectable in the bloodstream.
- Obligation, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18Guess the pizza chef knew Spargle's magic ingredient.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Poison him? Hallucinogens are usually pretty nontoxic.. especially LSD.
- wheel, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14*****. He waited more than a YEAR to file a police report. Then a year later he is suing them, and not going for criminal charges? Hmmm, I wonder if he's out for the money.
- DFunk1132, on 10/10/2007, -6/+14probably just a flashback from the good ol' days
- satx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Where can I get a slice?
- AcidPhysx, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8mushrooms killed by heat, too
- Shiftyeyedgoat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7"Rao said he has extremely poor vision due to bilateral ocular albinism, a condition that causes his eyes to lack pigment. Because of this, he said he was often bullied by his supervisor and co-workers. "
:( - otep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6
"Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback...."
- The DUDE - oreomann33, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5If you're going to poison your janitor, choose a substance that isn't non-toxic.
- snapcase, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6I find it a bit funny that he thinks he got LSD in an attempt to poison him. Not like LSD would kill him.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yeah it was probably meant to be a gift for being so productive and he took it the wrong way :/
- SlappyMc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3yes
- KillMyGPA, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3He must've been an excellent janitor.
- nico623, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Too bad LSD isn't a poison at all...The only idiots that consider it a poison are the people unwilling to understand or comprehend stepping out of ones basic realm and experiencing a totally different consciousness.
(feel free to digg me down...I just feel LSD can produce alot better things that bad publicity...) - BigSteveo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I blame that pesky John Dorian
- thumperings, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4this isn't even remotely funny dorks. Someone not prepared for an acid trip can have long lasting post trauma stress; sometimes for life. It is a very personal and profound experience (and can be devestatingly horrifying) , and not something to laugh about. I really feel sorry for him.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5Well, it doesn't matter if LSD is destroyed when heated; they put it in after it was delivered. Also, if they really were out to poison him, they could have put any number of substances besides just LSD; those were the ones detected at the hospital. This kind of incident happens more than is reported. Has there never been a coworker at your office or workplace that you were so pissed off at that you couldn't stand it? Even if the reason for those feelings are unjustified or are a result of a mistake, this kind of retaliation is scarily simple to pull off. It is colorless, odorless, and is dissolved in any liquid of moist food. The feeling of dread that comes with an unexpected trip, especially by someone who has never taken LSD before, is what those co-workers of his wanted him to have.
- jessebeans, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2am i the only person to find this terribly sad?
- andyzdigg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Sounds like somebody got a "CIA Pizza".
- bakstuh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2..You know you can place anything on the pizza AFTER it was cooked. Most likely this was phenethylamines (hence ("living in a kaleidoscope"), such as 2CE...of course, I could be wrong.
- Jubalicious, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Tim Leary is dead, you insensitive clod.
- laterallateral, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yeah, either kevenc isn't speaking from experience or he always got really ***** junk because "melting from the inside" is definitely not a departure from my own experiences with hallucinogens. I call asstalker, Mr. kevenc.
- Murdats, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2ok, you raise a point, i was confusing its LD50 with something else.
however from wiki
"Estimates for the lethal dosage (LD50) of LSD range from 200 µg/kg to more than 1 mg/kg of human body mass, though most sources report that there are no known human cases of such an overdose. Other sources note one report of a suspected fatal overdose of LSD occurring in 1974 in Kentucky in which there were indications that ~1/3 of a gram (320 mg or 320,000 µg) had been injected intravenously, i.e., over 3,000 more typical oral doses of ~100 µg had been injected.[11]" - bunnyman1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Nothing but ordinary water, laced with a few spoonfuls of LSD!
- Slayback, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2"Why'd you do it?"
http://angryjanitor.ytmnd.com/ - ripstuntz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Because everyone knows that 'shrooms on a pizza are the best way to bully a half blind co-worker...
- kevenc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I don't give a *****. Just stating my opinion. You should calm down. I'd hardly call his coworkers a larger entity..
- GliTCH82, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Sounds like he accidentally got his face tangled in mozzarella and pizza sauce.
- kooft, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1@swrostmore: I assume you forgot your sarcasm tag because LSD _is_ detectable in your bloodstream (if only for a couple of hours after ingestion).
- mountaincable, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Produce things like all the records and CDs I own
- Shiftyeyedgoat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1LSD is completely non-toxic, even at doses 300,000X the threshold levels for hallucinogenic response.
http://www.chemsoc.org/ExemplarChem/entries/2004/bristol_rosling/My%20Webs/LSD.HTM - ecidnac, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I've definitely felt like I was melting from the inside out on shrooms before...
- mountaincable, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1How can you impose your perception on another individual? Everybody is different and reacts as such, especially somebody drugged without consent.
- ThinkBox, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3How could you tell if he was telling the truth, he just said he was tripping!
:-p - Tankslap, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Nice way to piss away the best janitor job available.
- akinnee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1'Shrooms
- laterallateral, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That's an excellent point and I'm glad you made it. Also, in case people see the "melting on the inside" bit as a little over the top, consider that most of you have experimented with this stuff knowingly. Try to imagine what it must be like to take a surprise hit of acid, in the most hostile environment possible (modern day office) while surrounded by people who have the power to fire your ass. I think my brain would want my body to be melting too.
- SamKellett, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5Not sure what snapcase and Murdats are talking about, LSD is extremely toxic.
"LD50 (That's lethal dose in 50% of those who injest this much) determinations vary widely with species, begin 46 mg/kg in mice, 16.5 mg/kg in rats, 0.3 mg/kg in rabbits and 0.1 mg/kg in elephants. In monkeys, the LD100 is 5 mg/kg. Death in these animals is the result of respiratory failure, preceded in the rabbit by marked hyperthermia. Human data are manifestly lacking, and predictions of the average lethal dose for humans have ranged from 0.2 mg/kg to more than 1 mg/kg, administered orally."
http://erowid.org/chemicals/lsd/lsd_dose.shtml - Metman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Yeah, thats why I am here having a bad trip. I was poisoned. Yeah thats the ticket. Its not cause I hooked up with Johnny and got me some kick ass shrooms I couldn't handle.... honest!"
- orph3us, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Why would you digg this guy down? Giving someone LSD without them knowing it, not being prepared for it is truly beyond cruel. It should be prosecuted with prison time. I have taken hallucinogens and even enjoyed them. That said, I wouldn't wish an unprepared trip upon my worst enemy. These guys are either ignorant or criminal. Either way, they should be prosecuted. The poor, downtrodden and whatever get stepped on all the time and their bullies think they can keep on doing it. It's not right and I hope these guys get what they deserve.
- smackhero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1psychedelic mushrooms taste horrible, and he would have noticed if they'd put them on the pizza, and like someone said, they'd be destroyed by the heat. it's possible that it could have been a research chemical like 2c-e, 2c-i, 2c-b, or 5meo-dipt, etc. but those require much larger quantities for an effective dose (15-30mg for an average dose compared to a few hundred micrograms for acid). it's much easier to dose someone with acid without them knowing it or tasting it.
- SPRFRKR, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1me
- ganjadude4391, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1when i worked at a pizza shop we made shroom pizza and it definately did NOT ruin the trip
- tooloney, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1and wonderful!
- Elderon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1LSD is not toxic you ding bat. your statement is flawed. EVERYTHING is toxic in high enough doses, duh! LSD is one of the most non toxic substances known. perhaps you should read up on it sometimes.
oh yeah, its also non addictive. -
