- audioaddict, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14dear me... ejected from the floor? This was one of the best marketing tricks ever!
- scallon, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Jesus Christ that is a lot of links on a single page. It was actually hard to concentrate because every other ***** work was underlined.
- intellichick, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9That's awesome! :)
- spaguyswife, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8He got my attention enough to take a picture! Imagine my surprise when I received the "red envelope" and was told not to discuss it's contents with anyone nor was I to read it in the near vicinity. I thought it was a great "scheme" even though, to date, I haven't really checked out what's inside but did manage to get it across the border!!
- madmarv, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I remember him casing the keynotes and sitting at the expo table. The only thing that ruined his Fed image was the briefcase slung on his shoulder. I didn't think real FBI agents would use those bags under any circumstances as they would interfere with drawing their weapon.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure I saw him again in street clothes at the Libsyn party. - tdelet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yeah, if anyone is a danger to this country, it's the guy who spends hours in his basement recording his own podcast.
- mwsmedia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Mission accomplished. Well done, JMX
- bobdobolena, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3If you RTFA,
"Those who were brave enough to approach him were offered a choice of 1 of 5 red envelopes, interestingly marked "CLASSIFIED." It's generally not known if all the envelopes contained the same message, or variations, but they made oblique references to a website, "Red-Monday.com," and a password needed to access it: "Gabriel.""
Obviously a marketing stunt of some kind. - bobdobolena, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I hate replying to my own comments...but here is what happens to you if you submit your email. Don't be afraid by the scary red!!!

Do me a favor and delete this message after you read it. Get rid of any trace I ever contacted you.
someone got careless and there was a leak of my previous contacts. No harm no foul, but these people have wide net packet sniffers and I’d rather not take that risk again...
Anyways, call me JC.
So Saul told you about the Event? There are still a few details you probably need to be brought up to speed on. Here's our last conversation we had on the subject:

- phisher1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Anyone notice that the operating system at the beginning of the flash was Gentoo Linux? Either that or he has a bunch of bash ebuilds laying around. Also, does anyone care to speculate why he's pinging the IP address of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China's website? In that directory listing there is also a file named Embassy Manifest... Interesting.. Red Monday, Red China, People's Republic of China.. LINUX!! All that's left is a 28.8bps modem, a macintosh laptop, and a spinning phone booth and we've got ourselves a new hacker movie.
- jakeKerber, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I got an envelope at the LibSyn party. I think he may have accidentally given me an envelope intended for someone else. Oh well.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Wish they would spy on corrupt politicians..
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2iParanoid
- GoatRoper, on 12/07/2007, -0/+0Revive this bitch
- bpende, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2I wasn't at PNME this year, but I've seen some pretty freaky marketing in the past. I think PNME staff over-reacted, but would like to hear from people who got freaked... maybe I'm wrong.
- Doktag, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Is this a new game on Digg? Try and mention Ron Paul in the comments of every article, no matter how irrelevant?
- aresef, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2__>
The FBI wouldn't go after a guy who does a podcast about Power Rangers, right? Good. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2what, are you a two year old with add. congratulations on your reading ability then.
- AudioPandemic, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2funny.. sad.. entertaining.. the best movie this whole year.. OH WAIT.. I mean.. best "mystery" marketing this year!!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0is it irrelevant? Ron Paul wants to shut down many GOV agencies including CIA and shut down the military industrial complex + abolish the FED and IRS for Christ sake!
so do you think they would not spy on his internet revolutionary army? - physep, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Humm.. a marking ploy making it to Digg front page.. idk about all this, guys playing dress-up as a 'spot the fed' knockoff is kinda lame...
- TheFoolyCooly, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1I don't like FUD. Telling everyone what you were really up to makes up for it though. I bet a lot of FUD marketing is right under our noses.
- PaulGriffin, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2Wait, How would the FBI spy on the podcast? Maybe download and listen to it?
I spied on Diggnation this week in between classes. Pretty bitchin. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2hahaha perhaps he was spying on us Ron Paul revolution supporters?
- BOFH2, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1LAME! "Please visit my blog!" Dude, If you need more traffic find a better way.
- WilliamDavis, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2Yes, the FBI is spying on podcasters and probably anyone who listens to a podcast. Obviously, that wasn't one of them.

What is Digg?
