- joejitsu, on 11/06/2009, -0/+8I wonder if it was the CIA who was supplying all the acid to the hippies in the 60s and 70s. That would blow their mind if their rebellion was just a government experiment, and their money funded the CIA.
- DesertTripper, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3Whatever the outcome of the actual experiments, you can be sure that the drug warriors wasted no opportunity to spread lies and exaggerations in order to freak out the general public.

- boogerthecat, on 11/06/2009, -2/+2During the Cold War we facing the possibility of being vaporized by hydrogen bombs. Extinction baby. No coming back. Instant death for the lucky ones, a slow linger painful death for the rest.
I can't fault them for looking for every/any possible edge.
PS- there are still over 30 thousand nuclear warheads in the arsenals of the worlds nuclear powers and an unknown number in the hands of god only knows who.
