- slapded, on 10/14/2007, -4/+83at times like these i really wish there was a hell. then these people can go there
- inactive, on 10/14/2007, -37/+89Was that really needed? It was a small baby. You have to be one evil, coward bastard to shoot an infant. I pray that they catch these *****.
- ElevenisEven, on 10/14/2007, -1/+53this is not a gun problem, its a ***** evil bastard problem, thats what it is,
- inactive, on 03/13/2008, -0/+49This is so sad. I wish I never read this.
- ruforealz, on 10/10/2007, -5/+48the gays deserve better
- gquaglia, on 10/14/2007, -6/+44Good reason for maintaining the death penalty. Too bad this didn't happen in Texas. At least we would know that there would be an excellent chance the ***** would be executed in a timely fashion, if he is ever caught.
- FreakyD, on 10/14/2007, -7/+38This is why we need to create different and brutal ways of dealing with people like this.
- kooft, on 10/10/2007, -0/+27I'm fairly certain the law will be used to deal with it. I mean, these guys knew that they were in a death penalty state when they executed this defenseless and decidedly nonthreatening child. Some murders can be attributed to fear or revenge, but murdering a helpless child is indefensible. That being said, if being sentenced to death by the State doesn't deter these acts, it's doubtful anything else will.
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 10/10/2007, -6/+32Use AdBlock.
- PaperMonkey, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26I really hope that your line doesn't come out this far.. I really hope that this is miles away from your right and wrong line.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24WTF is the world coming to? Infant?
- spoiled1, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1078/1397352807_2ae5df200e_b.jpg
:( I was even more saddened to see a picture of a kid in the Ad right above on this story saying "They really do grow up fast" - dreagen, on 10/10/2007, -5/+19This is one of the situations where the family of the infant should get to choose the way these two guys Die...
- snotrokit, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15This alone, this one act alone, is reason to keep the death penalty.
- brstilson, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13It's pretty much a guarantee these guys are going to get killed in prison. Harming children is something so heinous even most violent felons cannot tolerate it. Even if they don't tell anyone what they did, the guards know, and they'll be happy to spread it around.
- timusca, on 10/10/2007, -6/+19While murder is murder, and is digusting in any form, I have to disagree. The difference is that the 21-year-old man was killed for a reason, no matter how ridiculous that reason is. Killing a 7-month-old adds no advantage whatsoever to the robbery.
- solonGFX, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15I don't know a single straight person capable of such horrors, your point?
- brstilson, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Yeah, only the GOVERNMENT should have access to lethal weapons, because THEY'RE the trustworthy ones!
- TheCosmicFool, on 10/10/2007, -9/+20I dont know a single gay guy capable of such horrors.
It's always more pleasant to imagine a mob of people catching them than police though. - Navicerts, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12You can't have a fraction of infinity.
- hfactor, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13His point is: Calling them ***** was stupid of obeezy.
- heartcoldfusion, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13Why would you want him to be executed? Isn't a life in a cage far worse than instant, painless death? Isn't freedom taken away worse than short life? If someone murdered my family, I would ask that he get life a sentence with no chance for parole, so that he can spend every day for the rest of his life thinking about the freedom he had that is now gone, and thinking about what caused him to lose that freedom.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12I wish I was not born here, (earth).
- NullzipZero, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12you need help.
- crank001, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12There are reasons and then there are justifiable reasons. What you are saying here is that the 21 year old died for a reason other than complete barbarism, making it somehow not as heinous as killing the infant. My argument is that there are not shades of murder, and that human life is sacred no matter the age. Moral relativism teaches that taking the infants life is somehow worse because of the innocent nature of the victim. Objective morality teaches that murder is wrong no matter the victim. The problem with the former is that it soon becomes acceptable to murder because you can think of a justifiable reason. If one life is more valued over another then suddenly you can cheapen human life as has been done in our culture. Human life must be sacrosanct in all of its forms in order to have a morality that is based on objective moral truth rather than the opinion of a person or the prevailing attitude of a culture.
- Navicerts, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Your lack of compassion is a direct result of your ignorance.
- jcims, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9This is a gun problem? Would it have been a knife problem if they slit the kids throat, or a gasoline problem if they torched the vehicle with the kid inside. This senseless and inane focus on the device and not the deviant is why we have gotten this far to begin with. Like it or not, a gun is a tool...it has no motive or intent, and is incapable of malice.
Please blame the person...the person that loaded the gun, the person that pointed the gun at that poor child, the person that pulled the trigger, and the person that at this this very moment is taking a breath of air that they have permanently denied others. This person is the problem. - HenvY, on 10/10/2007, -9/+17*****, I dugg you up before I had read to the end of your post. You are an *****.
- theworldisflat, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10Guns are not the problem -- criminals with them are. Learn about something before spouting off on it.
- VeryBoredNow, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9you don't wanna sink to that level
- AnteChronos, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8"i hope he is an angel for being martyred"
A martyr is someone who dies for their religious beliefs, which isn't what happened here. - ozymandias2012, on 10/10/2007, -6/+13Hunt them down and kill them....just kill them. No trial, no pleas, no explantations or questions or debate. Find them and kill them.
- NeoZenkai, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9If we didn't have guns, people would run around killing each other with sticks, or bows and arrows, or [insert any other weapon here]. Guns don't kill people by themselves, it takes human interaction.
- rebornthrublood, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8nevermind the death penalty. bring back medieval torture.
- dampeal, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Dugg hoping it gets more publicity and justice can be served...this is not a gun problem, don't turn it into one... I can guarantee that those that did the shooting DID NOT HAVE LEGAL GUNS. Those of you trying to turn it into a gun problem have to remember one thing, you are trying to take LEGAL guns away. Criminals have never had a problem getting a gun, gun laws mean NOTHING to a criminal, they only hurt legal citizens that only want to protect themselves and their families from people like these. The only problem I see is the level of sickness that is involved here, there is something truly wrong and just evil, these men deserve more than just to die, they deserve to be tortured for days until they beg to be killed and then tortured some more. These things that did this need to suffer severely for doing something as evil as this to an innocent child.
- timusca, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5That's NOT what I was saying. I completely agree with everything you said! I'm looking at this from the murderer's point of view. In HIS mind, there was a reason to kill the 21-year-old. The baby was just for fun as far as we know... so from the killer's objective, there is a difference.
- tnoy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Well, that just put me in a sour mood for the rest of the day. :(
- Acglaphotis, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6@missilesilo
Then you are a sick ***** - xenuxenuts, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7The people deserve to be tortured. That still doesn't mean the state should torture them. Some things are still wrong, even if they're justified.
- CraigJ, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Maybe if dad had a gun we'd have dead criminals instead of dead father and baby?
- Frozenpython, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Same here. I cannot believe someone could do that. Normally I wouldn't say or think this but I hope these people suffer in the worst possible way.
- benjpw, on 10/10/2007, -6/+10Statically the death penalty has been shown to NOT deter crime like this - especially in Texas. If anything getting killed by the state is the easy way out - having to live your entire life in a Hunstville, TX prison is ten times worse then death for people like this.
- RST1123, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Looks like someone has a better vocabulary.
- saigumi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Alright, without guns, then the story would have read "Infant beaten to death with club".
Things will happen even if the tool changes. - yikiad, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7ever hear of jeffery dalhmer?
- StGhurka, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5In this case, I don't care what the statistics show and I am not interested in justice. I want vengeance.
- praveens, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4they should burn on that electric chair for this
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4You know, I don't really believe in hell. But it's horrible garbage like this that makes me hope there's some place for dirtbag sacks of ***** like the murderers ***** mentioned to burn, rot, and ***** scream in agony for eternity. I hate this crap.
- Navicerts, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I don't think "using" the terrible crimes that are committed in prison as a tool would be a wise choice. If we start using it, we will stop trying to eliminate it. The whole idea behind prison systems is *supposed* to rehabilitation, AND punishment. Think of the people in there that have a shot at rehabilitation.
