- MasterThief117, on 10/10/2007, -7/+265I was like "what, inches from crashing into a storm drain?"
Then I scrolled down. - cindylauper, on 10/10/2007, -6/+164I'm not the swearing type but....OH *****

Says that it's true, but the truck most likely didnt jump the gap, but skid across.
still pretty incredible though. snopes has another pic too.
why dont we just submit every page snopes has to digg, and be done with it? - AlexGrant, on 10/10/2007, -14/+61If enough people digg it for it to get to the front page, then there are enough people who haven't seen it. Who pissed in your corn flakes and made you click the link?
- chedabob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+38They missed out the third picture. When it was first on digg, it was like "What?", scroll down, "Meh, pretty small drop", scroll down, "holy ***** ***** thats lucky".
- Anomis, on 10/10/2007, -4/+32Agree just beacuse someone on digg has seen this doesnt mean rest have.... If you've seen something before dont come here and say old dont even click the link....
Prob gonna get dugg down for this but oh well. - KillTheRhythm, on 10/10/2007, -3/+29I dunno. Having seen a few idiots in my time and judging by your comment, I'm pretty sure you are an idiot.
- fhernand, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26the passenger, dizzied from the spin, was in for a nasty surprise as she got out of the car, though
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -4/+26"Jesus take the wheel..."
- stillfocus, on 10/10/2007, -4/+23Impressive.... I could have gotten it a little closer though ;)
- sanman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20So bye-bye, miss american pie.
Drove my chevy thru the levee,
But the levee/culvert was 5000ft high.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die." - Dhalgren, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20I would guess Ute Mountain in Colorado, like the site says...
- acdcfanbill, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14The insurance investigators when they came out and looked at the marks on the ground.
- DrGonzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Umm, that is a either a full size Chevy or GMC from the late eighties to late nineties. Check the script for your goggles again Ford lover.
- robbh66, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Yes, because your truck at the bottom of a canyon with you not in it doesn't look like fraud.
- simpleblob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10look above.. Woah!
- b-dizzle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10yeah: http://www.snopes.com/photos/accident/culvert.asp
- diggdong, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14Nice rock wall. Where's this at?
- foooey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8That happened just outside Hurricane, Utah, near Zions Canyon. I have more pictures of it somewhere, I'm looking to try to find them.
One of those things where I know a guy who knew a guy who was on site. - fishbeef33, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Yes, I understand that he crashed, but why did he throw the railing?
Lern too spel. - avktm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7its not a ford
- Zarokima, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10Rick Roll
- Crispin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4What's the difference?
- apexified, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4dylanrush, bleedinghollow, spiffness, dimplemonkey, landmoster, nc0onc0o, shaitanx, 5xstun, GarrettB, Rob223, sdigroup, and buster5775 all need to realize that if it makes it to the front page, it's not because the same people who dugg it before are digging it again just to piss the lot of you off. It's because the site you're visiting is fueled by user-generated content - if you don't like the "old" selections that make it to the front page, go somewhere with editorial oversight or at least stfu and stop plaguing the comments with your ridiculous whining.
- TheDragon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yeah, because something that happened in December of 2006 is three years old. http://www.snopes.com/photos/accident/culvert.asp
- dylanrush, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5It was a joke you *****.
- shark615, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4does that mean you want him to send youthe pics or?
- abandonedhero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I'm surprised, actually. Typically American cars/trucks are *****. I'm also surprised that someone who owns a decent-sized truck actually loads it with stuff. Everyone I know just drives one to look cool. I guess they like to support Osama.
- sanman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5And look at all the houses/buildings at the bottom:

They're kind of lucky too. And stupid to be living at the base of a drop like that. What if there was a rockslide or something? Colorado's north of the San Andreas fault - DigitalN, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3he probably fell asleep, and it is brakes, dumbass.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3BUT YOU WOULD BE RICH!
- Erectile, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Utility. It's what the rest of the world calls them.
- andwest, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2If the ABS had worked, then he probably would not have gone through that guard rail in the first place.
- apexified, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2read the comments a little and realize you've just joined a large crowd of idiots who prefer to cry "old news" and "dupe" rather than contribute any real thought to the comments. congrats.
- dmitry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Impossible.
- kilt42, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3yet still amazing.
- EndlessShadow79, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Do A Barrel Roll!
- silverchrysalis, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3i piss in my own cornflakes. its the only way i can trust them to be sterile.
- gameforge, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'm in Colorado too. We're much more east than north of the San Andreas fault; but even so, the two closest points might be 700 miles away. We have not had any substantial seismic activity for decades. But where did anybody get Colorado from? This happened in Hurricane City, Utah.
- foooey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yeah, so the pictures I have, I can't share. Sorry!
Snopes does confirm that it happened in Hurricane though: http://www.snopes.com/photos/accident/culvert.asp - SuperCujo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Considering it happened on December 30th last year, you must get emails straight from the Hurricane Police Department...
FOAD - SuperCujo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I think it is pretty funny.
Most people just blindly click on a youtube link. - abandonedhero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'm sure that's a Rick Roll video. I just buried and reported the mofo.
- apexified, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2pwned?
- bradpurchase, on 06/12/2008, -0/+2You know the rules, and so do I!
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Feel free to stop dropping in on them.
- Eshestun, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I don't think I've ever seen this much digging down of comments before...
- blacklint, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Erm, um, I'm close to the San Andreas fault. And I live near San Francisco...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Andreas_Fault
I could be wrong, but I thought Colorado was pretty seismically stable. - fwib, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1nice one, way to be like the 456th person to complain about the photos being old. they'd be so much cooler if they were taken today.
