We can dream can't we?
- Jordan117, on 10/30/2007, -2/+25Oh, I get it! Colbert's a comedian, so if he wins, the government will be filled with a motley crew of fellow comedians and fictional characters whose bits are tangentially related to their positions! That is extremely witty, and also hilarious.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -1/+22I propose a 5% comment tax.
- DuffyDirect, on 10/30/2007, -1/+21Man... I hate being critical about comedy articles, but I can't resist pointing out that house speakers aren't presidential appointees. =(
- sinrtb, on 10/30/2007, -1/+19My question of course would be if Colbert won and Stewart was VP, who would report the news to us?
- SublimeRuin, on 10/30/2007, -1/+15Actually the movie wasn't that bad......but yes.
- Firehed, on 10/30/2007, -1/+15No they're not. His TV personality (the one on the show) is a satirical character meant to imitate the talking heads on Fox News. Off the set, he's actually not an insane right-wing nutcase who thinks global warming is proved by the market success of Al Gore's movie.
Though I bet both are afraid of bears. - FreakyD, on 10/30/2007, -20/+33Where's Ron Paul?
I knew it, he took all those kids allowances and crossed the Mexican border. - tHePeOPle, on 10/30/2007, -1/+13How do you mean, reading them, or writing them? I find reading the comments taxing enough.
- airiox, on 10/30/2007, -1/+13dugg for the hilarious cat picture at the end
http://img91.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1283411194 ... - KevenM, on 10/30/2007, -4/+15YouTube's been a little slow as of late, so you might have to wait a few seconds for the clips to load.
- mwalker05, on 10/30/2007, -2/+11sarah silverman? are you kidding me? how did her show even get a second season
- banq59, on 10/29/2007, -1/+10You obviously don't get Colbert. The character on his show which happens to be of the same name, is in fact just that, a character. His character decided to run for president.
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 10/30/2007, -3/+12For that matter, where's Steve Carell?
- pfunked, on 10/30/2007, -2/+10You think the other politicians are being themselves in public?
- shahruz84, on 12/17/2008, -1/+7Chris Rock as Foreign Ambassador and UN Ambassador = awesome
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -0/+5The interesting thing is that I think Colbert could be a contender. I wish they'd do a national poll on it. Sorry Ronbots but I can virtually guarantee Colbert would poll higher than Paul.
- KizardLing, on 10/30/2007, -4/+9That list sucked.
- xcwarrior, on 10/30/2007, -4/+9Dugg despite the fact that Sarah Silverman is on the list. Anyone who thinks she is funny shouldn't be allowed to vote.
- KevenM, on 10/30/2007, -4/+9if by some freak chance this gets to the front page and the server APPEARS to be down, it's not, it's just a php thing, refresh your screen once or twice and it'll load.
- RxDaniel, on 10/30/2007, -1/+55% of what? Do I have to provide 5% of the letters I use to type the comment to the government?
- FreakyD, on 10/30/2007, -2/+6In my basement
- RxDaniel, on 10/29/2007, -1/+5That's probably the funniest thing I've ever read based on the fact that half the stories you see on digg are telling people to do stuff.
- kevyn, on 10/30/2007, -1/+5for a moment there, i really thought Borat could help run the country...thanks Shutz for warning me *phew*
- lordspidey, on 10/30/2007, -8/+11this wins
DUGG! - inactive, on 10/29/2007, -0/+3Yeah, and Madeleine Albright is Czech. So what?
- jduley, on 10/30/2007, -2/+5This list would be funnier if they replaced Robin Williams, Sarah Silverman, Steve Martin, Dana Carvey, and Jim Carrey with comedians.
- FlashBazbo, on 10/30/2007, -1/+4In Cimmeria, kicking some ass.
- glasgowm, on 10/29/2007, -0/+3What does that have to do with anything?
- RxDaniel, on 10/30/2007, -0/+3Yeah I went in thinking Stewart being VP was gonna be the worst part, because obviously Colbert should be his own VP based off the formidable opponent thing he does on his show. Sadly Stewart being VP was probably the best part of the list with Silverman being the low point of it.
- bjs3171, on 10/29/2007, -0/+2there once was a president named Reagan...
- gbarberi, on 10/30/2007, -1/+3What do you mean IF?
- h0v3rb1k3s, on 10/30/2007, -1/+3Why would Stephen Colbert bring a bunch of show business hacks into his administration? I mean, we agree he's smart, right?
- SyntraFTW, on 10/29/2007, -0/+2I concur.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2Since when did the president appoint the Speaker of the House?
- shadowfoxmi, on 10/29/2007, -0/+2oh.. that's simple... she had to suck a few more dicks than she did to get season 1
- glasgowm, on 10/29/2007, -0/+2What does that have to do with anything?
- KevenM, on 10/29/2007, -1/+3see above - if you tap your F5 key a few times, it shows up

- dafragsta, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1That's been my theory too. I'm less worried about China and far more worried about our spendcrazy central bank.
- KevenM, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1do I know you?
- MtheoryX, on 10/29/2007, -1/+2Final Cut, One Hour Photo, & Insomnia?
I loved those. He has started to show great range as an actor. - davids1, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1Not very funny.
- patrickloggins, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1That was terrible.
- inverselogic, on 10/30/2007, -1/+2crap, omg a big list of comedians... thats funny! SHUT THE ***** UP.
- Dhalsim007, on 10/30/2007, -1/+2Why would any celebrity want to take a pay cut to become a public official? Hehe...
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 10/29/2007, -1/+2All this time I thought it was me...
