- ocop, on 11/25/2007, -0/+3The poor girl. I've been thinking of studying at Oxford, but between the authoritative nanny state and creepy level of domestic surveillance I think I'll look elsewhere. This coming from an American, as bad as our country has become.
- Herostratos, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1If you're accused of theft, the court will hear your case and you'll be allowed the benefit of doubt. A jury of your peers will decide whether you are guilty or not. But when it comes to taking away your baby - naaaah, there is no rule of law, it all boils down to the arbitrary decision of some psychiatrist.
- b8man99, on 11/25/2007, -0/+1Odd. Doesn't sound in any way legal to take a baby into care 10 seconds after it's been born because the mother self-harmed when she was younger. Surely there must be something else that the authorities can't say without breaching privacy laws.
