- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+47I thought I might. I have been burnt before for overestimating the average digger's intelligence.
- ilkeryoldas, on 10/11/2007, -2/+40"My planet still is the prettiest of them all" ... that we know of...

- Angostura, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17It looks like a classic nimbo-cumulus thunderstorm to me, no?
- luckyllama, on 10/11/2007, -4/+18I think he meant to title this THE COOLEST SUNSET PIC YOU'LL SEE ALL WEEK!! [PIC]!!
- bretto, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17I didn't think the picture could live up to the title, but it truly is huge, stunning, spectacular, and beautiful.
- TheDefiance, on 10/11/2007, -5/+14The article title was going so well, i was practically nursing a semi when the "pacific ocean sunset" bombshell hit.
That said, it is a beautiful photo. - MadMan2k, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Lens flare, sensor dust, vertical banding.. I guess the sun's a bitch without an atmosphere in the way.
- Nohj, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11That is damn pretty.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+12awesome pic, thanks
- merrickx, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9I especially like that huge thunderhead cloud that seems to be pressing against the edge of the atmosphere. Never really seen that in a picture before.
- Quake120, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Agreed. Looks like a normal thunderstorm.
- Onyxblaze, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7my eyes. Stupidity!!!!
- sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5try using http://digg.com/space/Northern_lights_as_seen_from_space_Pic on the other monitor...
- Daedalus81, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7And thank you for the good title AND description!
- Alexx3k, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5For once a picture worth it's description :)
- mahoua, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6What the hell are you talking about ??
- PhilH, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6That has to be the best description I've ever read on Digg, and a wonderful picture too. Nice one vroom!
- dajs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4earth is just an awesome planet.
- supermanred, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4The submitter has obviously never been to Roxicorical-Phalapatorious. The scenery makes Earth look like an asteroid.
Look out for the Slitheen family though, bunch of *****. - tybris, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3How can you be sure the earth would be better off if we didn't kill each other?
- Osagasu, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6Woah there buddy. the /sarcasm was probably just that. A mark that his comment was intended to be a joke.
- Jugalator, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I think it's not so much stupidity, but more about a training ground for debaters or trolls. The "real" FE Society ceased to exist a while ago, and this site appeared in 2004. I think they've set up their boards mostly just to have fun debating things, like taking on a faked opinion and trying to argue for it... Yes, a bit silly, but I don't think any special there actually *believe* in what they're arguing for unless it's against the "idea".
- Jugalator, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6From my Digg experiences, oh yes, he definitely did. :-(
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4And we all thank him for that!
- webgeek2point0, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Try this link: ftp://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/EFS_highres_ISS007_ISS007-E-10807.JPG . This is the original pic at 3032x1986.
