- irinotecan, on 11/24/2007, -2/+156Barak Obama refuses to wear a flag pin, saying it is a hollow statement of patriotism. If you guessed that Fox News, et. al., didn't exactly award him a medal for that, you win the prize.
- BroncoKid, on 11/24/2007, -2/+131glad i wasn't the only one who thought that was the most ridiculous "controversy" ever.
- felchdonkey, on 11/24/2007, -3/+112Love the bit about "18 stars, 7 stripes, made in Taiwan."
I'm an NRA member, and they give you an NRA cap when you join. The thing I noticed right away was that the little US flag on the side had 28 stars, and the tag inside says "Made in Bangladesh."
I wonder if those bumper stickers that say "Buy American" are made in China? - PerfektXj, on 11/24/2007, -7/+90mirror with no popups - http://m3.bestpicsaround.com/piles/?s=flagpin
- allentattoo, on 11/24/2007, -4/+69Are you proud to be "a" American? I'm just proud to know my articles.
- ayeroxor, on 11/24/2007, -1/+46THERE ARE 24 STARS
/picard out - flaflashr, on 11/24/2007, -2/+33But that site used "Etiquette". That's a damned French word! We can't have no French words in our patriotism! We gotta have Freedom Words! Change it to American Flag Pin "Protocol"! ;-)
- CasualAffair, on 11/24/2007, -2/+31Replying to his waste of time comment was an even bigger waste of time!
Me? It's my day off! - Dunedain, on 11/24/2007, -1/+26so, in other words, you're saying that you hate the current state of things in our government, and plan to do absolutely nothing to change it? Way to be a rebel.
- Hoxie, on 11/24/2007, -2/+24yeah, too bad little ad words fly across the screen.
- utore, on 01/07/2008, -3/+24Lmao at the caption:
"Suit by Armani, Shirt by Ralph Lauren, Tie by Betsy Ross" - 232430, on 11/24/2007, -1/+17And you'll be the better man for it.
- VenDrake, on 11/24/2007, -1/+16Yeah. It means she's actually a man.
- toppgun, on 11/24/2007, -5/+20whats a popup?
//firefox user - ayeroxor, on 11/24/2007, -3/+18Too bad firefox has been out for years and people still don't realize how stupid they look when they complain about ads
- FireAtWill, on 11/24/2007, -9/+20First article of the day to make me laugh. Thanks!
- felchdonkey, on 11/24/2007, -0/+10I thought it was funny.
They were just making a joke about a stereotype of right-wingers.
Personally I'm a gun-totin' liberal. I believe in the entire Constitution, and that includes the right to bear arms. I own a few - after all, we can't have the conservatives holding all the firepower, can we? (kidding) - ellabee, on 11/24/2007, -4/+14Next up should be the "Hand Over The Heart" pin and tutorial, to help circumvent unfortunate Obama-esque mishaps.
/sarcasm, eye roll - tech42er, on 11/24/2007, -0/+10Woosh!
- cazbar, on 11/24/2007, -4/+12Now all the terr'ists are gonna be wearing flag pins so nobody suspects them....
- Schmidtopolis, on 11/24/2007, -0/+8"The Nazi's had pieces of flair that they made the Jews wear"
- zlintux, on 11/24/2007, -0/+8I'm a firm believer that those who choose not to vote have no right to bitch about the government.
No matter how corrupt you think the system is, I simply cannot believe that there isn't someone you feel you can vote for -- hell, write in your own name and I'll have more respect for you. - calhoun, on 11/24/2007, -7/+15What "controversy" are you referring to?
- Nerfdude, on 11/24/2007, -1/+9you must be the most politically active kid in 8th grade.
- hifidawg, on 11/24/2007, -3/+11Use Firefox with the No Script extension, and you won't need to be concerned about pop ups.
- moskaudancer, on 11/24/2007, -1/+8How is a reference to a shoulder holster an insult to gun owners?
- chedabob, on 11/24/2007, -0/+6NoScript says hi.
- zombies187, on 11/24/2007, -0/+6Wear it on the left unless you want your flag to look like it is retreating.
- agentlame, on 11/24/2007, -0/+6You are doing a disservice to digg. The profanity filter is optional. So if people are willing to see profanity, they have that option. But more over, the ones that don't, also have that option.
Your post is annoying to both parties. It just looks ugly to those of us that have the filter off, and it defeats the filter for those that would rather not see that type of language. - nnagflar, on 11/24/2007, -4/+10Yeah, don't those "libtards" know that Americans are perfect in every way? They must be watching THEIR Fox News with their ears plugged.
- geoboy, on 11/24/2007, -0/+6It's dumb to say a candidate sucks because of one single issue. Though I definitely agree with you that ethanol is not the way to go.
- MadOgre, on 11/24/2007, -1/+6After you digg him down, the option presents its self.
- FixToTheMax, on 11/24/2007, -1/+6Why is all political satire show down so fast as hard left / right sided? Don't you know that there are people out there that create this just because it's funny to see both sides go insane over it? Funny image, but I highly doubt this is "leftist" propaganda...just someone with Photoshop and a bored 15 minute downtime.
- OverlordXenu, on 11/24/2007, -0/+4http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/1563575 ...
Read that before you bury me. - arjie, on 11/24/2007, -3/+7Ha ha, I wanted to post that. It's hilarious. He's hilarious.
- theonlywizdum, on 11/24/2007, -0/+4I prefer my clothing items to be devoid of plagues, but that's just me.
- sparsely, on 11/24/2007, -0/+4.
- kuzotz, on 11/24/2007, -0/+4Unless you are African American an din which case they will ask you(even in europe) If you grew up in the ghetto.. Despite that being true for me....... I told them promptly to go ***** themselves. While in Turkey they touched my hair cuz I had a fro, and in Japan the women loved me because I had a fro and was from America.
Point being said. Don't be a white American, and if you are a minority traveling outside of America.. NEVER LOSE YOUR PASSPORT!!!! - maeon3, on 11/24/2007, -1/+5What is an "unauthorized protest"? The more I think about it the more my head hurts.
- tech42er, on 11/24/2007, -0/+4Yeah, it has 24 stars, not 18. Anyway, as an NRA member, how did you feel about the "shoulder holster" comment?
- lukifer, on 11/24/2007, -0/+4I think you're looking for the Gary Kasparov article. ;)
(But I agree it's absurd, for what it's worth.) - Flakor, on 11/25/2007, -0/+3Patriotism is a dangerous thing, too much of it and people tend to go nuts. At this point America isn't as Patriotic as it is Paranoid.
- thomashauk, on 11/24/2007, -0/+3You can, you'll just be wearing it inserted into some orifice.
- felchdonkey, on 11/24/2007, -2/+5What? Where?
- mrurc, on 11/24/2007, -0/+3You seem to have context issues.
- antoniuk, on 11/24/2007, -1/+4The man in the picture must be an unpatriotic douchebag because his tie is crooked and Americans would never do that.
- agentlame, on 11/24/2007, -3/+6For the love of god, what happened to the option to report your racist ass?
You are a sad little man....
/feeding trolls - Flame500, on 11/24/2007, -5/+8I'd say unless the pin is pushed directly into your skin you're not a real American!
/sarcasm - offwithyourtv, on 11/25/2007, -0/+2Unless you're under 18 and can't vote yet, or you're a member of another country who is directly affected by the decisions made by the American government (all of them?) and then you have every right to bitch all you want. Other than that, if we're talking about only those who can vote in America, I agree with you.
- sherbertbones, on 11/24/2007, -1/+3I think you forgot to follow that up with "Derrr"
