- danep, on 10/10/2007, -2/+160...however, recent scientific discoveries have shown that they do have, in fact, only one.
- TH3W1R3D, on 10/10/2007, -1/+66I dont think they changed it because of obscenity. Its a ***** ugly logo.
- jsreid, on 10/10/2007, -7/+59I like this logo the best... http://www.illegal-art.org/print/images/dwyerlogo.gif
- SwissCamel, on 10/10/2007, -4/+55That mermaid is such a slut.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+41I had an ex girlfriend that had an original sign and we hung it up on our porch and we got a letter in the mail threatening legal action.
Suffice to say I don't drink coffee there anymore. - Dirtynoodle111, on 10/10/2007, -0/+36http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/6/61/Starbucks1.JPG
Original logo. - AriaStar, on 10/10/2007, -10/+44FYI:
Mermaids originally were believed to have two tails. - Enuratique, on 10/10/2007, -3/+32Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original Starbucks in Pike St Market in Seattle has the original, nippled logo.
- otatop, on 10/10/2007, -4/+30You can just say small, medium, or large. They're not gonna yell "In Italian, *****!" at you.
- blitzer, on 10/10/2007, -9/+34so... 1 shop.. out of 3498394839 million starbucks has nipples put on their sign... and we talk about it.?
lame. - Preacherman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24Here's a photo of the Starbucks logo at Pike Place. Nipples and all.
http://flickr.com/photos/eddiechu/297811800/ - theseventhyear, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24Wish i had my nipples back....
- PBMainiac3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22How about we see if I can set you on fire?
- kingcam, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24They did that to me. Went in to order a medium coffee without even reading the damn sign and the damn woman behind the counter snaps "You mean Grande?" Bitch me look like an idiot.
- dongcha9, on 10/10/2007, -4/+24is it me or does the starbucks girl also look like she's holding both legs up at her ears...pretty limber, and unusual for a mermaid.
- GeekyGerge, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18What?
- SonofMaug, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20Of course they threatened legal action, you were essentially (though unintentionally) setting up shop as a Starbucks! How are they to know you weren't going to pass yourselves off as a Starbucks in the middle of your neighborhood? You could have just put the damn thing up in the living room, but on the porch? That was just dumb.
- Flashman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18Until 1992, the mermaid WAS holding her two tails up:

noob! - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -8/+21Yeah, the first logo is a bit creepy...A mermaid with 2 tails? Ah well, I'd hit it.
- ideapower, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Starbucks employees are actually instructed to "train" customers on those size names. Anyway, there's actually still a "short" size that exists, not listed.
Short = Small
Tall = Medium
Grande = Large
Venti = "Super-Size" - bashar129, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h36/bashar129/full_125083.jpg
I apologize for linking to my photobucket, but I don't remember the website where I first saw this and I googled it and still came up with nothing. - JRootabega, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10You got the wards backwords.
- opiestana, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13What the hell good does that do?
- Lyanto, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14Hah, I thought that Starbucks had written a children's book before the meaning of the title fully registered.
- CrimsonBlur, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I have no idea why you are being buried, the flagship, original store at Pike Place Market does in fact use the original Starbucks logo. Not only that, but Starbucks has used the original logo for other purposes as well, although I do think it's silly they felt the need to change it. That's what happens when you have to cater to uptite Americans I guess.
- loganarcher, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8It doesn't have the same ring to it as "How Stella got her groove back", but it's a catchy title.
- themastersb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8It's well known?
- digitul, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8slow down! your anti-consumerism and originality is frightening!
- debuggercll, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Wish I had nipples on my back.
- razei, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7... O.o
- duccodude, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7any topic on digg with the word nipples will cause any site to crash.
- CrimsonBlur, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Actually I guess the changing of the logo had more to do with them merging with another company, at least that is the "official" reason. The explenation seems reasonable. Perhaps it wasn't just because people are uptight...
- Rawler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Trust anything that mentions nipples on digg to go down.
- scabbers, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Hippies tried to change the world by opening up a coffee shop. Epic fail.
- MagikOvenMit, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5You just called yourself a retard... Nice.
- j1a1g1, on 10/10/2007, -8/+12Big Deal!
let me know when they change their sizes from fritalian to english - RSPDude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4How the hell is this thing getting so many diggs when the site doesn't even work?
- mc7winkie, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8* masturbates furiously to mermaid nipples *
- trevorsm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4"drink coffee there," as in the original is correct
"drink their coffee," which you're presumable thinking of, would also be correct - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Yeah but when your 21 and just out of college you are pretty much dumb. At least I had that experience and LEARNED from it.
Thanks. - Shirk, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5"Sorry, a mirror of How the Starbucks mermaid got her nipples back is not available."
Yeah, thanks for the link... - whiterussian, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Wow, you really want to pound this meme into the ground don't you? There's really no need to post this in every damn thread you come across.
- missingnoh4x, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Where's a working mirror when you need one? The Wayback machine is useless since it doesn't give the images.
- morpheus69, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Auction that thing off...it's probably worth something
- johnny222, on 10/10/2007, -7/+10I love the coincidence http://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/9/8/26/f_Capturem_1648f98.jpg
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3And a mouth.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3At the original starbucks coffeeshop in Seattle, they still use the old logo.
