How does the digg algorithm work again?
copaseticflow.blogspot.com — This is probably the 100th post on the new algorithm... but, I favorited the loser damn it ;) What's 'Hot News' with 30 replaced by almost identical digg with nine? And yes, I do intend to 'get a life' just as soon as I submit this :)
- 42 diggs
- digg it

http://digg.com/space/Affordable_Space_Tourism_in_ ... - badger07, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1 I guess I don't understand digg. I have been digging friends submissions and I have been submitting good content( or what I thought was as good as a lot of content here.) My URL has been banned because they say I spam. I am not spamming anybody and I thought this community welcomed shouts and you didn't get a shout if you didn't want one. So friends I am going to back off digging until I can see why I am banned. My email is mddoc@yahoo.com and if anybody understands it better than I please let me know. Appreciate it
- lucidguru, on 03/27/2008, -0/+2I think digg is trying to do more with their links than a one time huge traffic surge. The stuff that needs to be shown today (politics and cutting edge news) are stuck needing quick and rapid diggs. However, most blog rants and other non-timed stuff don't need to be shown at a specific time. I bet the algorithm is set up to push these good articles to the front when there aren't surges of other time-sensitive stuff. I think it's a good thing, especially when articles a few days old hit the FP... you never saw that in the past.
