When they were caught, they were dismissed, not sued or jailed. They were usually older and creepy guys. I suppose since these women are attractive, it gives them an edge over older creepy guys. The district, parents and administration most likely figures: "If they were an old creepy guy, then kids get what they deserve, but these women are dangerous. They could have any boy they wanted."
      I guess to put it into any sort of perspective, just switch the genders. Some hot male teacher is sleeping with your 13-17 year old daughter. Still proud of your daughter for doing this?
      I have to admit that i do find it morally and ethically wrong. If men/boys thought less with their penis and more with their mind this kind of crap wouldn't happen. It may be the Menist(opposite of feminist) in me talking. But I think it is a shame that men are reduced to such simple beings. Men really need to get out of this stereotype that is perpetuated by the "cool" crowd. Life is not about scoring. Life is not about being wealthy. there is more to live for than either of those. Do this and you will become a legend.

        Men "think with their penises" because they're horny. 16 year old boys think about nothing else pretty much. It's a fact of humanity, thinking this is bad or something we should try to change is laughable.

        When you're 35 and married and have kids, then you can tell me that life is not about being wealthy.

            Anyone who thinks that rampant sexuality on the part of post-pubescent males is anything other than biological is a fool though. It has nothing to do with people "telling you" you should feel that way.

            The reason is that evolution has rewarded people who breed and breed often; if you breed before you die then the species lives on. Thus, the trait to want to breed asap is built-in. This was all determined long before any media was around to affect your silly personality.

He didn't mean it as in popularity, but more along the lines of what everybody else does. Not every single "post-pubescent male" is rampant sexually. And I'm pretty sure evolution favors heterosexuals, but not every single person is heterosexual. I remember in 4th grade, well this isn't "post-pubescent," but all my friends were telling sex jokes nonstop at lunch and at first I was startled and I quickly started to hate lunchtime. And, hypothetically, are you telling me that any post-pubescent boy who has been brought up without ever being taught about sex will automatically know what to do with his erection if he sees a girl he is attracted to? He probably won't even realize what is going on at first. I agree that horniness is definitely favored by evolution, but I don't see how a thinking person, and not an animal that relies on instinct, will automatically start going around and having as much sex as possible without being exposed to the media and people around him talking about sex nonstop or showing how good it feels.

Just that the inclination to ***** is generally speaking pretty rampant with post pubescent boys. If you're gay, the inclination is to ***** other guys, if you're straight, to ***** girls. Men generally speaking are hornier than women, gay men as well.

            Talking about sex, or being influenced to talk about sex by the media, has nothing to do with my original comment. My only argument is that teenage boys think with their dicks because biology has that drive embedded in them. Obviously they have the capability to not ***** anyone, I didn't lose my virginity until college. Perhaps that wasn't my decision, but even if it was, it doesn't have anything to do with the propensity for teenage boys to want to have sex, regardless of the media telling people that it's cool or acceptable. Trying to pretend that this is not the situation is silly. If you want kids to not have sex you can indoctrinate them however you please, just know that you're fighting nature.

It's sexist to say that men an women are not equal, but it's not sexist to say that men and women are obviously different, and one of those differences lies in the fact that most men are dominant and most women are submissive. Once again, I repeat, not all men are this way, and not all women are this way, but I think it's safe to say this corresponds with the majority of the population.

        So, if that were true, when an older man has sex with a younger woman then, generally speaking, he most likely initiated the relationship, or did more to act on it. The reverse could also be true, because teenage boys are always horny and aggressive and some of the older women may respond to that.

They woman "loves" the boy and often wants to be impregnated, leaving a kid with support payments. Having a young kid blow his load into his teacher is not that big a deal, if no emotions or offspring are involved. Most of these cases do not have such circumstances. The woman is really a child herself. She is usually unstable. These are not great relationships for the young men to have.

      Paying for a hooker would be safer and less emotionally damaging.

          Anyway, many here seem to think it is wonderful to have a boy blow his spunk up some crazy bitches snatch. He may be better off with a real girlfriend emotionally, but I would leave the ball draining to a professional using protection. Being horny and wanting release is different the being in love. I know some of my classmates went on to marry their highschool sweethearts, that is great, but that is rare. Arguably, lower might work too -- it's 14 in Canada and I personally think that's fine. The legal emphasis needs to be removed from age and should be moved to circumstances. Was the teacher abusing his/her position of authority to coerce the student into having sex? Was there force or alchohol/drugs involved? THAT is what's important, far more than age.

Even at 16 (younger?), people are able to make relatively balanced choices about sex. Yes, some might regret it -- but they could also regret it at 25. Or 40.       Furthermore, I think that most of the people defending these teachers are probably men, not feminazis. I certainly would have been more than happy with myself if I'd gotten any at 16.         Ask family counselors and teachers if 16 year olds (OR YOUNGER?) are ready for these decisions. They have more experience with pregnant teens than any of you.

When you're in your twenties however, the idea of one of your peers sleeping with teens reeks of crazy. I think the giggity response comes from people imagining the fantasy from when they were younger, but probably would not have such a good time if they went on an adult date with one of these women. Also keep in mind that most of the people on here these days are under the age of twenty. This site has unfortunately been hi-jacked by highschoolers (mostly boys). Maybe if their fantasy came true they'd later regret it, maybe not. I know both men and women who slept with teachers when they were in highschool. In every case these were things people seemed to keep either as a funny story or badge of pride and had no thought that they were abused in any way. I've only ever met two boys who (legitimately) had encounters like this with teachers but I've known at least five women who slept with male teachers and to this day have no issue with it at all. They were already sexually active and knew exactly what they were doing (according to them). Do they have much respect for the teacher in retrospect or even at the time? Not really, but no one seems to feel abuse occurred.

        I just don't see it as a point of pride, even for an otherwise well-adjusted kid, because it says some pretty lowly things about the adult in the situation. Even if the kid isn't scarred for life (the way the same kid might be if, say, an adult *family member* went after him), the judgment of the adult is at least questionable. I gather that we agree at least on that point.

        I don't think that either sex should be harshly punished by law, but I don't think this behavior should be encouraged either. The fact is that the youth is still under the care of a parent or guardian, and by hooking up with a much-more-experienced lover (who is intended to be there as a teacher of school subjects, not sex), the child risks early exposure to the complications of sex (adults are more likely carriers of more STDs, for one). And if the adult/teacher gets pregnant (would you trust the youth to be careful and educated?), then that also changes the life of the teen boy, who can't really control what the adult woman does with her body (thankfully).

        I really, really do think that any teacher of either sex that engages in inappropriate sex with the students they're hired to teach or guide through life has problems and needs help. They're not the WORST mental cases on the planet, sure, but it's just *creepy*. The fact that people find it hot baffles me. Everyone's got their odd fantasies, but in the real world, I think the reality of this one carries risks and career consequences that should be weighed against what's likely to be a short-term, untenable between two individuals who could do a whole lot better.
