Look off to the right, you can see a sign that says part of "Dennis Kucinich", indicating this is likely a quite liberal protest -- Kucinich supports gay marriage, by the way. So either this is a Photoshop, or the "protester" was knowingly using the phrase "homosexuals are gay" in support of gays.
