- Maddenman2000, on 11/04/2009, -2/+37This wiring brought to you by Comcast.
- ballsmcgee, on 11/04/2009, -0/+22Must be the same guy who wired this: http://imagecheese.com/images/bucarestwi.jpg
- badqat, on 11/03/2009, -2/+23That's what she said!
- badqat, on 11/03/2009, -1/+22Wow...just wow...
I'm guessing one has to have years of experience to pull off such a stellar wiring job! - absolutelytrue, on 11/04/2009, -2/+14I trained that electrical engineer.
- AuroraProject, on 11/04/2009, -0/+10I work on Telco lines 5 days a week. The telephone system is low voltage, 88v is nothing.
- dumbum, on 11/03/2009, -1/+10Why is it so big?
- AuroraProject, on 11/04/2009, -0/+8This looks like every ghetto ass apartment complex I visit on a weekly basis. Telephone wiring on the right, low voltage, no risk there. Cable company on the bottom. It doesn't have to look pretty to work.
- Cowzeetgrass, on 11/04/2009, -0/+8Don't knock the Scotchloks. Those things are great! In this instance, not so much.
- Brak710101, on 11/04/2009, -0/+6I don't think this is a real picture of a wiring job, it looks like someone ripped up the wires when gutting the house. Look at the framing to the right, and it seems like natural light.
- wjappe, on 11/04/2009, -2/+8Hey, looks really safe to me!
- shwerm601, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6looks more like decades to me :-)
- Charlie117, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5What exactly is so special about this picture?
- steakum, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5I live in the boonies. DSL is my only option. On windy days, I noticed that my DSL dropped and phone connection crackled. Traced the problem to a loose wire going up the utility pole outside my house. Called Verizon and gave them full details. After their tech was about to leave b/c he couldn't duplicate the problem, I went outside with him, had him connect his butt set and then I shook the wire on the pole which duplicated the problem. I left him to fix it. When I went out 2 hrs later, I saw his fix. He wrapped a good 20 feet of electrical tape around the wire on the pole so it wouldn't shake in the wind. That was 2+ years ago. Tape is still there.
- diggB, on 11/04/2009, -0/+4What's the problem? The wires are clearly labeled with masking tape.
- Frankzulla, on 11/04/2009, -1/+5Nope, no problems here!
- stpaulmatt, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3Union electricians at their finest.
- BugMeNot2, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4The cat.
- badqat, on 11/03/2009, -1/+4Indeed...Ph.D. in Wiring, I'd guess!
- vulcanius, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4Don't worry though, we'll be out to bury the line in about 2 years.
- Suricou, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3I once installed a new cable through my house, during which I had to drill a hole in a wall.
After drilling, I went around to see where it had come out.
About one inch above the power cable for the cooker, and one inch below a heating water pipe. The drill, by sheer luck, came out right in the space between them. - echopraxia, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3thats just the fone wiring, looks perfectly fine to me. the electrical wiring is all nice and safe in the breaker box.
- Ghostalker, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2I sure hope they weren't sober when they wired that abomination together.
- JoeNaguib, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Mike Holmes wouldn't Digg this.
- brandnewx, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2The wires aren't even connected. Just cut it and clean your darn house. So messy, everywhere.
- JoDyO, on 11/04/2009, -3/+5What has digg become? Some RANDOM picture of a messy wiring job can make the front page???
- phylum, on 11/04/2009, -1/+3 as long as it works.
- megamod, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2actually...I think those are phone wires so it's probably AT&T!
- Darkhacker, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2It's scary to think that a lot of modern software is built this way. What's not acceptable in other industries because it's too haphazard is the norm for software.
- roland, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2DSL is not boonies.
- Hyperian, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2It's that lolcat that did it
- Frankzulla, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2It's just at an apartment complex. No remodeling or anything of the sort going on, just chillin like that for months.
- SamuraiGhost, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2For now, maybe.
- JessterKing, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2nice, you almost made it on the internet though
- IKORKYI, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2it is when the current you carry is <25mA and power <0.6W
- Suricou, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Asbestos is a fine *white* powder.
- DiggemSmack, on 11/04/2009, -1/+3So -- your work has you going to ghetto ass apartment complexes on a weekly basis, huh? Oh, I see ... it's not -work- ...
- Frankzulla, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Hah you called it. The first several search returns were some lovely pictures of their high-quality wiring work. Wow.
- thebreach, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1This makes my clean wiring OCD go to maximum overdrive
- Frankzulla, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1No, can't say that I have.
- pharmokan, on 11/04/2009, -1/+2do i have to know stuff about electrical engineering to get the funny ?
- Bowie, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Search Google images for "India" and "wiring".
I don't even need to look there myself first. I'm that confident you'll see some shining examples of their work. - Bowie, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1...Uhm, you think this is bad?
You've never been to India, have you. - ParticleMan420, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1they're gel filled, they should be water proof for a little while!
- gheide, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1hmmm.. learn something new every day... So it was just years of dirt up there...
- sipsyrup, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1You're doing it wrong
- JessterKing, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1So maybe the neighborhood got some free cable/electricity
- IKORKYI, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1that's just cable and phone lines...pretty typical
- liquidoc, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Yeah, especially if it's a rental unit....I remember having to replace a phone line because it was spliced together and then duck-taped.....
- FaithclubDotNet, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Don't cut the black wire.
I don't want to lose my television. Or maybe it would be my cable modem.... -
