what the hell ( i am viewing from school) - iRoy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+40Let's call it the iWallet.
We'll make millions! - TexanPsycho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30As a side note for people in the UK: this is A4 paper.
- DoctaStooge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31@ RobertS44
Just because you keep repeating it doesn't mean that people will suddenly listen to you. - macaddct1984, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23He's using superliminal messages.
"HEY YOU! JOIN THE NAVY!" - IEatHamburgers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21Oh great, now somebody's going to make a .PDF wallet template with the Apple logo and then half of Digg will be carrying paper wallets.
- Tripw0l, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19"Is it me.. or is Digg now turning into a website where people just post random ***** just to see if they can get on the front page. Possibly get on DiggNation... I see less and less real news articles on here.. ERRRRH"
I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not but you did see that it's KEVIN ROSE that posted the article right?
I'm pretty sure he doesn't have to worry about getting noticed on Diggnation. - m3t00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18That will impress your date.
- 0crabby0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18You could open-source the wallet code, and have the gratitude of millions.
- Fedge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17While you're at it, make a PocketMod too.
http://www.pocketmod.com/ - lordchronos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16wouldn't it be easier to just use an envelope?
- Fooord, on 10/12/2007, -7/+23Is it waterproof?
- otatop, on 10/12/2007, -3/+178.5" by 11" is a rectangle, not a square.
- Silentnite85, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Impress your mom then?
- m00nb34m, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15It would be cool to do this same thing using taped-together money. I'd use $1 bills, but the rest of you can use your benjamins.
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15take 1 note and wrap it around all the others.
stuff in pocket. - HunterTV, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14This would be a lot cooler if you printed artwork on it.
- andrewmi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Ok, got it made. Now, if only I had some money to put inside...
- ZPWeeks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I don't want to get sued for the first paper cut.
- estacado, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Paper condoms. That's a million dollar invention.
- hipster666, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Wow, that should impress the ladies.
- techweenie1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I wonder what Sheryl Crow would have to say about this.
- LMaxey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9technically a square is a rectangle
it has opposite sides of the same length
this is honestly the first time I've used geometry in 4 years - haveacigar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Yeah, I tried making a similar one before, but it the instructions were so bad i couldnt make it... looks better though
http://leewm.freeshell.org/origami/wallet.pdf - zeno60, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Well, considering they teach you how to make smoke bombs, shut down your school, and other "non-liable" items, i'm not surprised.
- 0crabby0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Don't forget the Hamburger Fold.
- aldomatic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9How about a wallet made out of actual money? just a thought
- FakeFakerson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Why, do you have a chronic diarrhea problem?
- Agret, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I dunno, I think I still prefer the keyboard wallet (search past frontpaged stories, cbf linking it)
- spokenrope, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6"dugg for referencing the hamburger fold since i said it in my head when i saw the picture"
Too bad it's not a hamburger fold. It's hotdog. A hamburger fold results in a stouter piece of paper, and a hotdog fold results in a longer piece. Just like how a hamburger is more stout than a hotdog.
Cool wallet, regardless. I think I'm gonna take the rest of the day off of work to go test this out. - SkittlesUSA, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Anyone else get to step two and then just said, "screw it?"
- Javi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think this is a great idea if you're a guy ISO another guy who also happens to be a geek. Otherwise, this will also work as a very effective form of birth control for heterosexual males.
However, if you're interested in attracting the opposite sex, you may want to consider a leather or manta-ray wallet. At the very least, you should avoid anything with velcro. Keep in mind, that if you're looking to appeal to the extremely liberal vegan female population, you may want to use faux leather or maybe wallet made out of lettuce wraps. - TheCrazyIndian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Step 7 made absolutely no ***** sense, im gonna kill myself now
- stoopidguy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I sure don't want my money held in a wallet that will turn to mush on contact with any liquid!
- Furkle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2So it's not apple but...
http://www.scribd.com/doc/37547/diggwallet - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4You need a paper wallet if you have leather money.
- srg13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"This would be a lot cooler if you printed artwork on it."
I did it for mine. Anyone want a photoshop template? - futureisours, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Bah.. I thought this was an article to make a paper mallet to hit people on the head with. NO DIGG.
- robbyyyyyyy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It was fairly easy, screens of mine, i did it while bored at work

* having four equal sides and four right angles or forming a right angle; "a square peg in a round hole"; "a square corner"
Um
Sue your geometry teacher. That's why the word "rectangle" exists. And rhombus, and diamond, and kite, and parallelogram, and heck, polygon. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1think of the children
- thejenway11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1as many trees that it takes for someone to figure out how to properly make one, you might as well go out a buy an inexpensive real one. also, you'll look less like a hobo.
- theRIAA, on 01/27/2008, -0/+1oh isn't it?
- macstevie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I made one from scratch using packaging tape and index cards, worked pretty well, had a coin pocket, gift card slot, and an ID card/drivers license slot
- silverbolt, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1Yes, please.
- BenKaras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This was pretty cool and neat until I actually made one and came to the sad realization that the paper wallet i just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to make was of no use to me, I soon discarded it.
- Hoogs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sweet, I just made one and will try using it. Hey, it beats carrying a bulky leather one in your pocket.
