Guess which of these 5 girls has had 180 lovers
dailymail.co.uk — Hint: It's the one whose mother put her on the pill (and gave her condoms) at age 13.
- 1926 diggs
- digg it
- obliviousfool, on 10/11/2007, -22/+353That sounds pretty much like nymphomania to me. Are you suggesting that her mother made her a nymphomaniac by putting her on the pill and asking her to always use condoms? If she truly is a nymphomaniac, it seems to me that her talk with her mother about condoms and STDs probably saved her life!
- Battleloser, on 10/11/2007, -111/+13Or it could have been the mother using parental pressure to force her hippy lifestyle down the girls throat.
- Suplyndmnd, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8"Or it could have been the mother using parental pressure to force her hippy lifestyle down the girls throat."
Sorry but from the sound of things, noone was having to force anything in any part of this woman.
- Suplyndmnd, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8"Or it could have been the mother using parental pressure to force her hippy lifestyle down the girls throat."
- Twoodge, on 10/11/2007, -5/+153Just a word of warning to our American Diggers: take anything the Daily Mail says with a grain of salt, and for the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, please don't use it to judge the UK at all.
Proceed.- mcmlxxii, on 10/11/2007, -3/+28I'll second that. That filthy rag is the titillation of the chattering classes, the finger pointers and the nimbys.
- Double0Doug, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12While I’m not exactly sure what you just said, I take your meaning very well.
- shaun1018, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19Ah thats like the Enquirer over here. Stupid gossip mags.
- bigredgpk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Or the Boston Herald up here...
- jboeke, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Or Fox News down here...
- Mikecol, on 10/11/2007, -1/+32Americans get judged based off the O'Reilly Factor all the time. Deal with it.
- kajer, on 10/11/2007, -6/+4i bet the one with 180 lovers has a nice roatbeef sammich down there
- mcmlxxii, on 10/11/2007, -3/+28I'll second that. That filthy rag is the titillation of the chattering classes, the finger pointers and the nimbys.
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 10/11/2007, -33/+7Seems more like the mother was practically encouraging it.
- miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7***** *****. she was trying to protect her.
- wilhoitm, on 10/11/2007, -2/+86If her mother gave her a computer the number of lovers could have been 0!
- MarkKezner, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16not with that body
- LordVance, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9With a computer on hand at an early age, that body never would have came to be.
- s0nicfreak, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5If her mother gave her a paper bag it could have been much much higher.
- satx, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Keep in mind this was back in '96 when the internet still wasn't that interesting.
- dragon76, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I'm gonna have to guess you are too young to remember the internet in 1996. The internet was a lot MORE interesting than it is now. No one was making money, or TRYING to make money then.
- MarkKezner, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16not with that body
- tcquad, on 10/11/2007, -7/+91Or, even better, let's look at the three women who had "normal" family life and the two who didn't have a father:
With father: virgin (non-religious), 2 men (first time and then husband), 21 men (6 for the first 34 years, 15 in the last few)
Without father: 90, 180
Let's draw conclusions from that, too! Oh, and did you notice that the darker the hair, the more partners they had? There's a whole world of correlations we can draw from this extensive 5-person data set!- EarlOfLade, on 10/11/2007, -11/+19What a load of crap.
What makes you think the ones with a horrible sexlife is happy?
There is nothing wrong with having sex, there is nothing wrong with having multiple partners.
Sex has become a religious scarecrow that is used to keep the sheeple in tow.
I'm pushing 50 and I have had quite a few sex partners, men and women and some in between. I'm not going to say how many because you will all tell me I'm a liar.
Just remember that people are different, some peoples sex drive is higher than others and I will not be forced to compare myself to someone who is close to frigid. Not to mention how many marriages are suffering from lack of sex and which is a catalyst for other problems. Luckily my last few girlfriends have been swingers and we have enjoyed a great life.- Briankb68, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13A little sensitive aren't we? Where does he say horrible? The closest that I could see was "normal" and that was in quotes alluding that it was someone else's definition. Of course he also makes a sarcastic comment about the extensive data set. Overall I gathered he wasn't too excited about the survey. You spout off about people being different, that some people's sex drive is higher than others which is true. But you quickly jump in and call them "close to frigid" and refer to the many marriages suffering from lack of sex which is a "catalyst for other problems." How quickly you judge people with less of a sex drive than you. But I guess if its you doing the judging its OK.
- miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -6/+4Perhaos you should call yourself "Earol of Laid". Dugg! You are absolutely correct!
- Vicissidude, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Exactly, Earl. There is nothing wrong with having sex at all. In fact, it's just like any physical activity - the more practice you get with a variety of partners, the better you get at it. If you only play tennis with the neighbor, then you probably won't get any good. But, if you play tennis competitively, then you will get good. Sex is the same way.
So yes, those women who only had one sex partner probably do have horrible sex lives. Although, they probably don't know that since they don't know what they're missing.
That woman with 180 partners has an awesome sex life. She knows what she likes, is probably open to anything, and probably has had dozens of teachers to perfect her technique. Whoever she marries will be a very, very lucky man. And you can bet that man will also be awesome in the sack. She'll never have boring sex.- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Honestly, I wouldn't turn her down for a good roll in the hay. A good roll measuring something like three weeks, minimum.
- EarlOfLade, on 10/11/2007, -11/+19What a load of crap.
- Daedalus81, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15I remember seeing a documentary on Coralie on Digg a while ago. She is really troubled by her nyphomania since she really doesn't ever fall in love or something tot hat effect,
- Aggaman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Yeah, I remember that.
She is suffering from a severe sex addiction.
- Aggaman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Yeah, I remember that.
- Stephenishere, on 10/11/2007, -24/+2what did the guy with leopards say to the hooker?
keep the tip!- haydesigner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17If you are going to write a (lame) joke, at least have the brains to spell it all right.
It is spelled "leprosy". Have you even even used the 'Check Spelling' button?- MrCobaltBlue, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5No need to be catty.
- Jonjonr6, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9It only checks spellings, not for getting the joke right.
- haydesigner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17If you are going to write a (lame) joke, at least have the brains to spell it all right.
- waterloo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4from the article "She admits that her attitude to sex was shaped by her unconventional upbringing."
- shark615, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3516 a year is not nymphomanie. 16 a month THATS nymphomania.
- gernblansted, on 10/11/2007, -7/+12There was probably a reason she was put on the pill and given condoms. Almost certainly her behavior required it (as a result of her upbringing or whatever), as opposed to her behavior being influenced by it. obliviousfool is correct to question this post - it is transparently intended to mislead the reader to believe the latter.
And even if provision of birth control did trigger her promiscuous nature, it's not a fact the giving girls access to birth control and condoms makes them have sex with everything, or even at all for that matter. However, It IS a PROVEN fact that access to birth control reduces unwanted pregnancy, and the use of condoms reduces STDs, even if they don't always work.
MrBabyMan is a shill for the right wing religion based anti sex movement. He/She will lose. People will have sex. Teenagers will have sex. Nothing will stop that. It's this thing all around us called "reality".
MrBabyMan doesn't like reality. That's why he/she tries to mislead others into believing fake ideas.- J4k3, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2Her behaviour didn't REQUIRE it! Are you stupid? Around here you would've been beaten by your mom within an inch of your life if you ever said something foolish like that. Nobody wants to admit it, so I'll say it: she's a ***** WHORE, a UK SLUT, got it?
- Digitalicious, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8This experiment has too many variables to be a reliable indicator of how to raise children.
- pdworkin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13What's your definition of a nymphomaniac? Someone who gets more than you do?
- ProgPirate, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Actually, nymphomania doesn't even exist anymore. The correct term is hypersexuality.
- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Whatever those girls are called, I'll let them at it for as long as they'll have me.
- ProgPirate, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Actually, nymphomania doesn't even exist anymore. The correct term is hypersexuality.
- HarryGldfarb, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15She's hot. Beautiful women have more sex because they have more opportunities to. "I get invited to a lot of big parties - it's very easy to meet people. There are the trust fund rich kids who invite you to have champagne at their tables."
She sounds the happiest and seems to be the best off financially since she "lives in a luxury flat in London's exclusive Chelsea Harbour area," though the place probably belongs to "her boyfriend, a 34-year-old property developer"
Contrast that with the virgin who says "There have been times when I've felt a physical urge to make love to him and I've had to force myself to pull back," she says. "It can be terribly frustrating." and "Gabriel's had sexual partners before, but I don't know how many. I've never asked." Sounds like a horrible relationship to me.
Anyways, I'd take the 180 chick over the virgin any day, the sex is much better.- Vicissidude, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2The virgin is wasting her life. And, for what? To guarantee her place in heaven? What a waste.
"Well that is that and this is this.
Will you tell me what you saw and I'll tell you what you missed,
when the ocean met the sky.
You wasted life, why wouldn't you waste the afterlife?"
Modest Mouse - Ocean Breathes Salty- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2From TFA:
"I decided that when I had sex for the first time, I wanted it to be special and I would wait until my wedding night," she explains, keen to point out that her vow of chastity is not for religious reasons."
Doesn't make it less sad, though.
- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2From TFA:
- Vicissidude, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2The virgin is wasting her life. And, for what? To guarantee her place in heaven? What a waste.
- dildoolielly, on 10/11/2007, -3/+22A man sleeps with several women before marriage. No big deal, not one eyebrow lifted.
A women sleeps with several men before marriage and shes considered abnormal.
Women can thank religion for this mark placed upon them.
Sex is natural.- Suplyndmnd, on 10/11/2007, -6/+4I don't think anyone looks down on women who have had 3-4 sexual partners. It's the 90+ that guys have issues with. When the number hits triple digits, i'd freak out if I found out later I was number 181. I'd probably find out by my dick falling off during sex.
- Vicissidude, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3Yeah, but if she married YOU after 180, then that means you're the best of 180 men.
Plus, she's going to be awesome in bed with that much practice. AND, she'll be willing to do ANYTHING!
There's way too many puritanical prudes here. People need to get over sex, especially when considering women. Half the dudes here want women to give it up, but as soon as she does she's a slut. What *****.- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The only time I've had boring sex was with a near-virgin. All my other partners have had 10+ partners before me, and so much the better for it.
- gradeahonky, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah, but the opposite pressure is on men. A virgin woman is seen as moral, pure, and kind of a turn on. A virgin guy though is nothing a but a giant pussy.
- BillyBIanks, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2"Whore" would have sufficed.
- Riffraffs, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1only if your a sexist ***** like you
- themastersb, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Wow. What a slut. Probably like my ex
- Battleloser, on 10/11/2007, -111/+13Or it could have been the mother using parental pressure to force her hippy lifestyle down the girls throat.
- duckstrap, on 10/11/2007, -5/+78I don't get the point you are making. I imagine you can find a bunch of sexually prolific women who suffered through a diet abstinence education and ignorance.
- Sep11insidejob, on 10/11/2007, -5/+48If I had 180 lovers I would be pretty happy. Who are we to judge this girl?
- stevenvh, on 10/11/2007, -8/+6They're jealous. (I'm not!! :-))
- KyleGoetz, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1I AM. She's a slut. ;)
- Sep11insidejob, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20One more thing, it's the hot one in the list that has had that many lovers. Maybe the others didnt cause they were not chased...
- GeneralReikan, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5No, the article says that the hot one had to convince her boyfriend at 13 to have sex with her. She was chasing him. Oh, curse this youth wasted in front of a terminal.
- alvinhokid, on 10/11/2007, -9/+7I thought the virgin was the hottest one, before I even read the article, just by looking at the picture of the 5 together... so I think all of them were chased, they just weren't nymphos.
- gmason08, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2Concur.
- fataluber, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Nice.
- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Most elegant. South Park reference. EVER.
- logicnazi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Exactly. This sort of story really pisses me off since it is obviously cheery picked to support a particular view. I mean we could just as easily find plenty of girls who missed out on good relationships and were less happy because of their belief in chastity. Of course it is easier to illustrate bad consequences than the opportunity cost of a decision but this sort of story tells the reader nothing besides the biases of the writer and perhaps the society.
- Sep11insidejob, on 10/11/2007, -5/+48If I had 180 lovers I would be pretty happy. Who are we to judge this girl?
- ZWarren69, on 10/11/2007, -7/+135This is a dumb comparison. Nonetheless, I'd hit it.
- theblooms, on 10/11/2007, -2/+55And obviously, that wouldn't be to difficult a task to accomplish!
- thecompkid, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2Well, it depends on who you're talking about...

- inspecality, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13And you know how loose a horse is because...
- shark615, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Classic comment from someone who has never had sex. It is like saying after taking a lot of ***** your arsehole will be loose. It doesn't work like that.
- 0zzy, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2It'd tap that too...
erm wait, I already did. - iOsiris, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1low standards
- Derrekito, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1you do? It's ok.
- theblooms, on 10/11/2007, -2/+55And obviously, that wouldn't be to difficult a task to accomplish!
- valleyvideo, on 10/11/2007, -6/+10Cool article getting in depth at how different people are affected by and react to sex.
- fcmk, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14I seriously hope that the virgin will marry another dumbass who doesn't want to have sex until marriage and that their first time will last about 10 seconds. I hope she feels very depressed afterwards, since that 10 seconds was the special thing she had waited for so long.
- LordofShadows, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Why so much hate?
- ThinkBox, on 10/11/2007, -22/+231"The average British woman sleeps with 6.9 lovers during her lifetime, according to a new survey."
heh heh.. 69... heh heh....- Cenobite, on 10/11/2007, -3/+59Does that mean they cut the 7th guy's feet off before sleeping with him?
- kingkilr, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21Or some other small part of their body :O
- thecompkid, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Only if you're Annie Wilkes
- KiTchMe, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Or, they're almost men, but not quite.
- xike, on 10/11/2007, -0/+77th guy only gets a 'nooner'
- crushfan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Quote says "lover" - so, it doesn't have to be a guy.. Horses may be counted as 1.9.. Just saying.
- kosmoX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1176.9: Isn't that just 69 interrupted by...oh God....a period?
- BESTenemy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13No, 6.9 means only one of 7 is circumcised.
- Cenobite, on 10/11/2007, -3/+59Does that mean they cut the 7th guy's feet off before sleeping with him?
- lostradamus, on 10/11/2007, -6/+41That's it I'm moving to the UK!
- Ingwenya, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Before you move, I would advise becoming acquainted with a particular word in British colloquial usage: "slapper".

http://www.btinternet.com/~virtuous/planetgrrlbabe/babearticles/slapper.htm

But then again, the term can only be appreciated in person.

- obeezy, on 10/11/2007, -28/+13Odd that the fat chick had so many. You ask a guy if he would do a fat chick, 9 times out of 10 they say no.
- TheSavant, on 10/11/2007, -0/+31How many are lying?
- sonaro, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23And are they sober?
- chaosium, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Yes, last call may factor in heavily here.
- shark615, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Yeah right. Fat chicks are like mopeds; fun to ride but god forbid if your friends see you on one.

- theblueprint, on 10/11/2007, -13/+245I can't fault the girl who had 180 lovers if she genuinely just wanted to have some sex. Girls who have sex because they want to shouldn't be demonized anymore than a guy who did the same.
Sleeping with a lot of men doesn't make a woman a ho...sleeping with men to get something (money, favors, etc) makes a woman a ho.- Battleloser, on 10/11/2007, -28/+5You say that now, but askyourself, would you eat her out?
- devilbody, on 10/11/2007, -6/+29With a gas mask.
- ffejrey, on 10/11/2007, -33/+17"Sleeping with a lot of men doesn't make a woman a ho..."
It does make her a slut though.- oneangrypossum, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16While it makes a man a hero?
Sex doesn't always have to be about a commitment, you know. Some have higher standards than others, but all it really comes down to is a biological urge. If I could have had a different girl sleep with me for every time I thought about masturbating throughout puberty I'd have had to add a few zeros this girl's number.- kosmoX, on 10/11/2007, -14/+3Slut.
- Murdats, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10it only makes them heroes to the same people that being a slut makes you a hero to, other man whores and sluts. I hate this thing that women are shunned for promiscuity while men are praised for it.
some on both sides will shun and praise you, its only mass media that makes you think that the respective specific groups represent the entire population.
that said though, as long as they dont get in my way, i dont care about your sexual actions. (and by get in my way I mainly mean shut the hell up about how many times you were sucked off in the last 5 min)
- oneangrypossum, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16While it makes a man a hero?
- sinurgy, on 10/11/2007, -12/+1I don't disagree but damn I still wouldn't touch her with a 10ft pole!
- mxcl, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8I don't care what you call her, I wouldn't consider anything other than a casual relationship with her. Could I trust her to be monogamous? I'm not sure.
I expect I'd feel the same if I was a woman with some guy who'd had 180 sexual partners too.- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I partly agree with you. A girl I know shifts between long bouts of monogamy and interstitial periods of varying partners.
Would I ever dare having a serious relationship with her? Hell no.
Would I tap her seven ways come Sunday, even if she *is* my GFs best friend? Hell yeah.
- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I partly agree with you. A girl I know shifts between long bouts of monogamy and interstitial periods of varying partners.

- sjbdallas, on 10/11/2007, -10/+55I've been to the UK and there are some really hot chicks all over the place. I don't understand why only one of the 5 chicks in this article was bang-worthy.
- TopherT, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16Well if you read anything about the others, you realize they're not getting banged. I mean jesus christ, at top we have a girl who is three years into a relationship and hasn't put out.
- WarrenHarding, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11are you kidding? british chicks are pretty damn ugly. especially compared to american women.

- NachoBusiness, on 10/11/2007, -11/+196Wow, so the ones who had 180 and 90 lovers, respectively, each had absentee fathers and never had any male in their life who genuinely cared for them, while the girls who'd had no or just two partners had caring, present fathers?
There's gotta be a connection here...- oneangrypossum, on 10/11/2007, -5/+30No father around to terrify the daughter's potential flings away?
- rosefu, on 10/11/2007, -5/+21I didn't have a caring, present father, but for me it made me far more skeptical of men. I refused to engage in a physical relationship before there was a clear emotional relationship wherein I knew with 100% certainty that the guy cared about me. My personal motto, after seeing my mother getting her heart ripped out by my heartless father, was to never have sex with a guy who wasn't absolutely in love with me. So the number of people I've been with is very low.
So the "connection" is not necessarily true.- BrainInAJar, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11perhaps not in all cases, but statistically speaking women who are raised in a 2 parent household ( including gay parents, I might add... ) tend to be less sexually promiscuous than those raised by one stable parent.

- tylerjames, on 10/11/2007, -6/+15hahaha, connection? might wanna take a bigger, more representative sample size before you draw that conclusion
- NachoBusiness, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10I hardly just came up with the theory... it's basic psychology. Girls form the template for all future relationships with men based on their relationship with their fathers. If it was nonexistant... then that leads to a lot of confusion. It doesn't always, but it's a strong correlation.
- digitalsatori, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13I wish I could digg you up twice. I was thinking the exact same thing.
- d3c0yn4m3l355, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2So... we get to see 5 ladies of which 3 aren't datable in the first case and the last 2 happen to be pretty good looking and sleep with other men, and happen to have had no father in their life. From that we can conclude that no father must be the reason why they slept with so many men. Fksake... get your stupid American head out of the sand and reason maybe the fact that they are just good looking, and that two out of five are no statistical material whatsoever. Now suppose we would look after 100 females aged 25 with about the same looks as well the same living style (hence the last one seemed to be upperclass and meet tons of people, while number 1 seems to me to be a person who is afraid for the living daylight) we might conclude something. But this is nothing more but a nice read about how females think about men, nothing more, nothing less.
- igorsk, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0You can't be serious! You can find promiscuous women from all kinds of family backgrounds. Making conclusions based on 5 stories that were deliberately chosen by the article writer (not randomly sampled) makes no sense. I can find 5 women where the number of their sexual partners is correlated with the amount of broccoli they eat.
Of course, there may be a connection between the family background and the number of sexual partners. But claiming that you "discovered" that from the article is just silly. Let's try to be a bit harder to manipulate.- NachoBusiness, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I said above I didn't discover it from the article... if there was any place I discovered it, it was working in an hospital where most patients were teenage girls with eating disorders and other psychological problems. My sample size was a lot more than 5 girls.
- whichDan, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Of course, not that the strict Roman Catholic upbringing (that she suggested had a role) was involved at all!!
Idiot.- LDSdigger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1She went to a Catholic school. That doesn't mean that she had a strict Catholic upbringing. I'm not Catholic, but I'm guessing that the Pope doesn't suggest that parents give their children condoms and birth control pills at 13. Although she doesn't say so directly in the article, I'm guessing she didn't grow up in a strict Catholic home.
Take the article for what it's worth. Most of us know people who feel like their promiscuity has hurt them emotionally and psychologically. We also know others who don't. From my experience, most of the promiscuous people I know -- like Madame 180 in the article -- say they want to settle down and enjoy a lasting, rewarding monogamous relationship, but feel that their promiscuity has affected their ability to do so.
What I have written doesn't mean people who are promiscuous are bad people. I'm just saying that there are clearly negative consequences for reckless promiscuity that aren't always talked about. We always hear about how monogamy is restricting to some people's lifestyles. I'm glad to see someone address the other side of the coin.
- LDSdigger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1She went to a Catholic school. That doesn't mean that she had a strict Catholic upbringing. - prisoner24601, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1What's also a truly fascinating study of the responses people have posted saying that the promiscuous girl is "hot" and the virgin isn't. Just looking at the photos, I honestly cannot imagine how any man would decide "Coralie is extremely attractive but Christina isn't" aside from individual preference (blondes vs. brunettes, etc.) Any reasonable man would (if only shown the photos) place Christina into the "extremely attractive" category, but there have been many comments here by guys who claim she isn't attractive.
I find that particularly pathetic. It's obvious that there are so many guys who (quite literally) CANNOT see a woman as pretty after they KNOW she won't be sexually available to them. I think a scientific "double blind" survey would be really interesting (and appalling) on this. Take 100 attractive women. Show their photos to a group of men with a caption at the bottom of each photo with the number of partners they've had. Falsify the numbers, assign them randomly. Then re-number them and whole them to another group of men to see if they rate them differently. I'd bet the truly sad responses we've seen in this thread would reappear in the study. If they guy believes the woman is more "available" then he rates her more attractive. This is an embarrassment to my gender. These kind of men make us all look bad.- JMaelstrom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1100 attractive women means 100 women that they'd like to have sex with - period. Unless you're gay, of course... Does anyone have a problem with a parent condoning a 13 year old girl having sex with a bunch of people? Seems like the parent should be taking an extra step and at least attempt to curb a 13 year old from jumping into bed with a bunch of different people.- shark615, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4No the parent did a good job. She realised that her daughter was going to have sex and instead of punishing or further pushing her child towards sex by banning or devilizing sex she EDUCATED her and took steps to ensure her daughter had a healthy outlook on sex. As such the girlstook the proper steps to ensure she was not infected or got pregnant. Thats how it SHOULD be. Time and time again it is shown that represing teens sexual urgency and teaching abestinance instead of safe sex results in not only more sex but more unprotected sex.

- gmavz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I never said not to educate... Represing is definitely NOT an answer, no way, no how. My point was that perhaps a part of the education is that sleeping with 180 people is just asking for trouble at some point. Arming kids with knowledge is the right way, and part of that knowledge is to exercise a degree of care. 180 people for a 13 year old is not responsible.

There are plenty of people (male and female) who are disgusted by people who sleep with that many people.... and by the same token, there are heaps of people who think it's great.
If any of my male friends mentioned that they had slept with 150 people, they would get people asking what the hell is wrong with them.

- rattenmaus, on 10/11/2007, -11/+17It angers me how self-righteous the comments on that article are. As if you can judge somebody just by the number of sex partners.

- threemagic, on 10/11/2007, -2/+29There's two different views on this:
1) The girl at 13 was going to have sex one way or another.. probably sooner than later. The mom taught her safe sex and no pregnancies. Good for the mother, good for the girl.. and good situation altogether in seeing that not all standards fit all people. The fear of sex is promoted to save unwanted pregnancies or pregnancies when the couple isn't ready to support one.
2) I bet I could find 5 girls who grew up with the same ideals and teachings as these 5 and all had different outcomes.- ZPWeeks, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Definitely a good decision on the mom's part, but I worry about her execution. It's one thing to be on the safe side, but it could easily be seen as permission to go out and do it all the time, especially in an environment where the parent and kid don't really talk about sex.
I like the middle ground I had. I remember hearing from my folks something along the lines of "please don't be stupid and have meaningless sex, but if you are going to, DEAR GOD use a condom!"
Much better than the alternative of a lot of kids I know, where they just say "OMG DON'T DO IT!!!" And end up with pregnant kids a year or two into such crap. - ladypoetess, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Exactly. When the mother gave her daughter the pill and condoms, she was being incredibly responsible - it sounds like she was aware of her daughter's desires and intentions, and took the best steps to make sure her daughter was safe when she pursued those desires and intentions.
Granted, it isn't clear if her mother expressed a wish for her daughter to not sleep with every boy she knew, but I find the fact she gave her daughter the tools to be protected more important. You can lecture forever and express your OWN desires for another's behavior, but it will really have very little impact, compared to saying "Okay, I don't want you to do this, but if you are going to, these are the things you need to do to protect yourself from pregnancy and disease."
- ZPWeeks, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Definitely a good decision on the mom's part, but I worry about her execution. It's one thing to be on the safe side, but it could easily be seen as permission to go out and do it all the time, especially in an environment where the parent and kid don't really talk about sex.
- kindrobot, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7Gotta catch 'em all!!!
No, seriously. Again, correlation is not causation. Look it up if you have to, or ignore it. But it remains truth.- mastic, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3the old pirates and global warming thing
- Tarnum, on 10/11/2007, -3/+19Don't take it too seriously. Daily Mail is a sensationalist tabloid. Just look at the headlines:
CAN HARRY (POTTER) FOIL POSTAL STRIKE?
Chelsy and (Prince) Harry kiss and make up at Diana concert, but Kate keeps her distance
Happy birthday mum: (Prince) William and (Prince) Harry's party for Diana
Penelope Cruz panic attack allegedly delays plane by two hours
Paris relaxes in sun after prison ordeal- ChayD, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Those look like Digg headlines :S

- thomas, on 10/11/2007, -3/+19The girl with 180 was the hottest of the group.
- Klowner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3She's totally ruining it for the other chunkers. Although, the one on the far left ain't bad and doesn't have the psycho-eyes thing going on.
- crushfan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3At first I thought the girl on the left was that "180-girl" but.. Haha, she's a virgin and, I think she's the hottest.
- Burn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Agreed, the left one is the hot one. 180-girl is second.
- meade, on 10/11/2007, -6/+4Never going to digg a Daily Mail article, nasty right wing paper.
- adarkmethod, on 10/11/2007, -3/+44I'd like to point out... while the girl with 180 might sound like a total slut... notice that she sounds the happiest and is the only one who doesnt have a lot of negative things to say about her sexual past.
- piradians, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13The virgin seems just as happy with her life and decision. Of course after you're already married is a terrible time to find out your significant other is a bad lay.
I wouldn't even buy shoes without trying them on first.- voyvf, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4@piradians: "I wouldn't even buy shoes without trying them on first."
no fricken joke.
to each their own, i guess. - xister, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Seriously... As far as that goes, I wouldn't dare marry a woman unless I lived with her first. You don't really get to know someone until you live with them.
- voyvf, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4@piradians: "I wouldn't even buy shoes without trying them on first."
- jackkerouac, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3That's good for her. It'd still be like ***** a bucket of water, however.
- voyvf, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5@jackkerouac:
that wouldn't necessarily be the woman's fault. :D
- voyvf, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5@jackkerouac:

- crash331, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Well, the chick with 180 is a LOT hotter than the other ones.
- Buckiller, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5"I decided that when I had sex for the first time, I wanted it to be special and I would wait until my wedding night,"
Yeeaaah... that's what i believe in too.... ahh who am i kidding. - lavoie0ca, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8If you RTFA submitter, you will find that the 13-year old went to her mom and was like "I want to have sex with boys" and her mom was like oh *****, and got her the birth control she needed.
- Leomarth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4But you have to understand that the popular idea is that a "child" (quotes on purpose), cannot ever have sexual thoughts on their own. They must be influenced or coerced. You're not supposed to look at human history that says humans start doing these things when they have puberty. You're not supposed to understand that when a 13 year old is able to describe their favorite sexual positions, the advantages and disadvantages of types of birth control, and discuss pregnancy, that it kind of shoots the idea that they can't consent, right out the door.
You're just supposed to tow the line that says that our children are fragile collectibles, who cannot think anything sexual on their own. You're supposed to keep any urges they have repressed so that they may not "crack inside". And then when they're all grown up, you're also not supposed to wonder why they cannot behave like adults. And you're definitely not supposed to draw the connection that it's because we've never treated them like adults.
