- spacebear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+55Nice to see that Google doesn't lose its sense for humor...
- MacHarborGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+50i guess if they added a pirate ship to the google logo it would look too much like thepiratebay.org
- Bradl3y, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36Things arent quite as funny the second time around.
- glasswalker, on 10/12/2007, -4/+39Arrrrrr!

- micro506, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23What's the matter? Don't feel "special" anymore?
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24Welcome to the Internet.
- DuoPros, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21I agree, you wouldnt get a reply like that from Microsoft.
Google gets my vote for company I would most like to be owned by. - pixelmixer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Is it so much of a rejection letter really? It seems more along the lines of "we have too many right now, if we were to add every single Holiday then it wouldn't look like google anymore. BUT, we're filtering out the ones we like and we'll add them later. Pirate day could still be one of them, just not right now."
It is being rejected, but it could still be used later on? ... right? ... a guy can hope yes?... Arr. - eplawless, on 10/12/2007, -7/+19LOL why is "Arrrrrr!" dugg up while "Arrrrr." is dugg down?
- imikedaman, on 10/12/2007, -7/+19Things aren't quite as funny the second time around.
- JackSeoul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11It's all in the delivery.
- LukasKandl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Avast!
- DNABeast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I used to do e-mail support for a pirate themed online casino (I know, evil, but I would actually unsubscribe people who asked to be unsubscribed from our spam) and my bosses insisted that I respond like a pirate.
"Arr, Yer wish for a bonus falls upon yon cap'n's wooden ear. Perhaps the clinking of more coin would cap'tur 'is attention." - RichPowers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9heh Google seems like a fun company to work for. If I sent a pirate-speak letter to a customer asking if we celebrate Pirate Day, I'd probably get fired ;)
- CupBeEmpty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3All I want is for Talk Like A Pirate Day to catch on like Easter or Yom Kippur. I want it to be official... where the f--k is the Swedish Pirate Party when you really need them here in the states?
- sundancekid503, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@harpreetgiani
If you're going to be a grammar/spelling nazi, you really need to spell-check your own comments. - bcdowell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Apparently, Google has not been touched by His Noodly Appendage.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://pirate-party.us/
why not the american pirate party? - Four20, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8Good. Now google should put up a Ninja theme logo.

- Takuro, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Only Google employees would actually reply in a pirate-themed e-mail. Those people are awesome. You can tell they definitely love their jobs and have a sense of humor.
I mean.. "only yee Google employees i reckon.." ah forget it. Pirate talk takes skills. - psiit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4i really hope your email address isn't firstname.lastname@something....
- ZeonZumDeikun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How would they celebrate it tho? They can't do much to the Google logo besides put a pirate ship or a parrot on it, and even doing so would link them to The Pirate Bay.
It would be thoroughly awesome if all results were in Pirate Speak, but that's too much to ask for. - SpencerMc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wait. They'll do it for "Persian New Year" but not for Interational Talk Like a Pirate Day? I call shannanigans!
