Giant UFO Footage watch!
liveleak.com — Looks good quality but too cgi looking to be real and must have taken along time to do.
- 1753 diggs
- digg it
- RogerStrong, on 01/01/2008, -9/+540Impressive CGI. Well done!
- nottidredd, on 01/01/2008, -75/+66here is the same UFO on google earth. Tell me how they used CGI for that.
http://revver.com/video/436217/found-ufo-with-goog ...- Xerces, on 01/01/2008, -3/+42I BELIEVE!
- nospinhere, on 01/01/2008, -2/+15How come the guy was filming in the middle of a tree patch. And what idiot would willingly drive under that thing if it were real?
- Dokument, on 01/01/2008, -8/+4probably something similar to how they got the firefox cropcircle.
- elcaminos, on 01/01/2008, -2/+8That was real...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DsHlev5Dg4
- nanajeebus, on 01/01/2008, -2/+24Did anyone actually look at the video he linked? I'm pretty sure he was joking.
- ToadLeg, on 01/01/2008, -0/+5YOU JUST HAVEN'T SEEN THE TRUTH YET!!!!
- zephc, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4Why was the 1701 flying upside down?
- EzraT1, on 01/02/2008, -1/+7dude why did everybody bury him, that was pretty funny.
- adventchild08, on 01/02/2008, -3/+5Dude you got my digg...screw those other guys....this was funny.
- redback, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2watch first, comment later, that was great
- Xerces, on 01/01/2008, -3/+42I BELIEVE!
- BobSutan, on 01/01/2008, -26/+6Ghey!
- joshuaer, on 01/01/2008, -10/+65it is not the best CGI it is amazing how bad video quality sucks on the net. I bet it looks really fake and cheesy in SD or HD.
- ShadowPt2, on 01/01/2008, -4/+31I still find it fascinating how hoaxsters can use bad video compression to their advantage (if this is, indeed, a hoax)
- norman619, on 01/01/2008, -15/+17IF? You are giving this video too much credit. I'm a CG pro and yes this is crappy CG. It'd be good if it were a game trailer but if it's trying to pass for real then it's crappy.
- thumperings, on 01/01/2008, -9/+51lol @ "I'm a cgi pro" ..
- norman619, on 01/02/2008, -7/+20@thumperings: Hmmm... I'm a freelance CG modeler/animator. I composit CG with live footage as well as creating 100% CG scenes. I specialize in photorealistic renders and animation.
- Archeologist, on 01/02/2008, -1/+3Can we see some of your work please? :) I would like to know what is considered professional CGI.
- norman619, on 01/01/2008, -15/+17IF? You are giving this video too much credit. I'm a CG pro and yes this is crappy CG. It'd be good if it were a game trailer but if it's trying to pass for real then it's crappy.
- Elliuotatar, on 01/01/2008, -6/+22It's not just bad video. If you look at the ledt edge, you can see a sine wave of black pixels moving back and forth. The video was intentionally made wavy to lend it "realism".
Also that is the fakest looking lightning I've ever seen.- Fortyseven, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1Yeah, those were the two big tip-offs. With a little cropping, and some work on the lightning, it *could* be a really good clip.
- EzraT1, on 01/02/2008, -0/+1yeah it adds to the affect, like your watching it on tv and your picking up interference from the ships presence.
- ShadowPt2, on 01/01/2008, -4/+31I still find it fascinating how hoaxsters can use bad video compression to their advantage (if this is, indeed, a hoax)
- Dylson, on 01/01/2008, -7/+52It's fake, but fake in a good way. Impressive CGI indeed.
- amadeusdemarzi, on 01/02/2008, -4/+2common gateway interfaces can be very useful :)
- ORBAT, on 01/02/2008, -3/+2You're not funny.
- amadeusdemarzi, on 01/02/2008, -4/+2common gateway interfaces can be very useful :)
- igob8a, on 01/01/2008, -3/+25I'm almost certain that the trees in the first footage are one of the default ones included with Vue 6.
Either way, that was cool - Zuggy, on 01/01/2008, -4/+26Also amazing how the trees in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd clip all look the same even though they are all in different areas. And how the video quality from 1968 hasn't degraded any, or was restored to look like it came from the same camera that was used in the first 2 clips.
- norman619, on 01/01/2008, -7/+18Sorry but if you think this is "impressive" CG then you haven't seen much. This was actually piss poor CG. They degraded the video quality on purpose to hide how bad the CG actually is. Youtube is full of much better fake UFO videos.
- fluxion, on 01/01/2008, -1/+4some aspects sucked, like the lightning and the giant explosion toward the end of the first clip. but id still say it was impressive for the most part. i dont do cgi for a living so i dont have much insight, but in general its enough that a normal joe schmoe wouldnt immediately raise the BS flag because it looked like cgi to him. to me, that's fairly impressive. crappy video quality or not.
- TheRunes, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1I agree with you. Real or not, I though it was cool. I don't have any background in CGI, but it does look a little wrong. It doesn't look completely real.
- norman619, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2It depends on what it was trying to pass for.
- TheRunes, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1I agree with you. Real or not, I though it was cool. I don't have any background in CGI, but it does look a little wrong. It doesn't look completely real.
- godmode, on 01/01/2008, -3/+5isnt degrading the video also an example of CG
- norman619, on 01/02/2008, -2/+2Why play stupid?
- unitedstatians, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2...when you can play dead?
- norman619, on 01/02/2008, -2/+2Why play stupid?

- twinklyJesus, on 01/02/2008, -14/+3Viral marketing for the Cloverfield movie...
buried as spam- pronouncable, on 01/02/2008, -2/+12phail
- britkev1, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1I was thinking viral video for something, but it's still cool.
- themastersb, on 01/02/2008, -2/+1You can tell it's fake because of when the screen goes all wiggly and also the lightning underneath it is a giveaway.
- roosterjm2k2, on 01/02/2008, -1/+82You can tell its fake because there is a mile wide flying saucer in it.
- adventchild08, on 01/02/2008, -1/+7You sir, win at internetting.
- dustPuppy, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2I second that win.
- keithwalsh1972, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4that put a mile wide smile on my face :)
- roosterjm2k2, on 01/02/2008, -1/+82You can tell its fake because there is a mile wide flying saucer in it.
- bariswheel, on 01/02/2008, -2/+4It's on the news...
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a98_1182617772 - Bologner, on 01/02/2008, -4/+2Totally 'shopped.
:-)- antigenesis, on 01/02/2008, -1/+4Are the reflections all wrong?
- S1ngular1ty1, on 01/02/2008, -0/+3No the pixels. It's always the pixels.
- cyberoidx, on 01/02/2008, -0/+5A photoshopped video? Niiiiiiccceeeeeeeeeee
- ORBAT, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4Yeah, had to go through every frame by hand and oh man am I tired.
- antigenesis, on 01/02/2008, -1/+4Are the reflections all wrong?
- MrBroly, on 01/02/2008, -6/+21This one has better CGI effects in my opinion...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU- Ampidire, on 01/02/2008, -2/+7god dammit...
- Grummond, on 01/02/2008, -2/+7I don't even think that's CGI, you can clearly see the strings.
Very lifelike movement though.- molochi, on 01/02/2008, -0/+3damn you
- unitedstatians, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1These things are much easier today. All government Intelligence personnel has to do now tell people such videos are marketing videos, through various indirect and grassroots outlets and repeat the message, of course. Digger users of today suddenly forget about their former role as investigators/guardians of the truth and immediately begin trying to one-up each other, explaining which programs and/or techniques were used to re-create a REAL video.
- johnnycornholer, on 01/02/2008, -0/+3I don't recall the part of the registration process for Digg that required me to be an "investigator/guardian of the truth"
I must have skipped that part.- Archeologist, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2We are all investigators/guardians of the truth on the *inside*. :)
- johnnycornholer, on 01/02/2008, -0/+3I don't recall the part of the registration process for Digg that required me to be an "investigator/guardian of the truth"
- EbilPhish, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1That lightning effect from the glowing orb was terrible, and the beam at the end looked fake. Other than that it was cool.
- nottidredd, on 01/01/2008, -75/+66here is the same UFO on google earth. Tell me how they used CGI for that.
- gregdogum, on 01/01/2008, -178/+27Ron Paul
- mempko, on 01/01/2008, -34/+8I knew Ron Paul was an alien! I mean, look at his ears.
- Soave, on 01/01/2008, -14/+3It's only funny sometimes. You lose.
- SiNN4R, on 01/01/2008, -26/+8Praise be upon his name.
- norbiu, on 01/01/2008, -24/+5That's Dr. Ron Paul for you buddy!
- banthis, on 01/01/2008, -17/+12You all *****' suck for naming him.
- JoeDiggsIt, on 01/01/2008, -21/+52I can't wait till this ***** election is over so I'll never have to hear his name again.
- trisquithere, on 01/02/2008, -14/+9what if he wins?
- banthis, on 01/02/2008, -5/+15i'll come back and digg him down
- bag0k, on 01/02/2008, -2/+2fat chance
- bagboyrebel, on 01/02/2008, -2/+1if he wins then I'll just hitch a ride on a flying pig and apologize to him in person for not believing in him.
- jbklego, on 01/02/2008, -9/+6Agreed!
- trisquithere, on 01/02/2008, -14/+9what if he wins?
- mempko, on 01/01/2008, -34/+8I knew Ron Paul was an alien! I mean, look at his ears.
- Biks, on 01/01/2008, -4/+385I do a lot of After Effects for a living. I recognize a lens flare effect in the first clip. Lightning hit near the bottom looked pretty fake. And why do UFOs have to look like they came from Steve Spielbergs mind?
- stonebear, on 01/01/2008, -2/+47We, who come from a generation of great, lumbering machines naturally project that onto our imaginings of extraterrestrials, as well as our own humanoid form. In reality their form and technology is not likely to be recognizable by us, unless, of course, they have been here all along, and are the source of our own. In that case, calling them extraterrestrial would not be entirely accurate anyway.
- Hobbes24, on 01/01/2008, -5/+5i think humanoid form would make sense, as well as similar machines.
evolution on their planet would likely give some species tool carying hands, like ours, then give them larger brains, let them stand upright to see predators...it makes sense that we'd look relatively similar. becasue our basic design lends it self well to using tools and clothing, something the aliens would also have to evolve to do.
similarly with tech, becasue they'd come to the logical conclusions that we do regarding practicality and function in inventions.- norman619, on 01/01/2008, -6/+12Based on what? Human ego?
- hollowex, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4It's based off of evolutionary theory. We find that common traits appear across various species through out the world. Take flying for instance. Bats and birds aren't related yet have accomplished similar mechanical abilities that allow flight.
- ChromaVita, on 01/02/2008, -0/+3This is assuming that these creatures lived on a planet that had similar attributes to earth. Also, assuming all creatures on earth are branches from one trunk, any minute changes to those species would greatly alter the outcome of creatures down the line right?
http://www.terrybisson.com/meat.html
Give that a quick read. - Hobbes24, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2no, based on practicality. we woudl have to evolve similar hands to hold and use tools. star trek was very close in this aspect. means of comunication could be off, such as telepathy, but for the most part evolution would dictate that we look relatively similar
- chrisj33, on 01/02/2008, -2/+1The Road Not Taken - read it.
- norman619, on 01/01/2008, -6/+12Based on what? Human ego?
- Goner, on 01/01/2008, -0/+6our own evolutionary storyline is dwarfed by that of the dinosaurs, for instance...
- norman619, on 01/01/2008, -0/+2Extraterrestrial means non-terrestrial so yes the term would still apply.
- teh_techie, on 01/02/2008, -0/+1Extra != Non
Extra is: more than or beyond what is usual, normal, expected, or necessary...
- teh_techie, on 01/02/2008, -0/+1Extra != Non
- latrosicarius, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2No, they live in the same universe as us. Physics is the same for them. All the same laws apply... meaning their technology will have developed along a similar path comparable to ours.
For instance, if they use electrical wires for power, they will be made out of something conductive, not rubber.
- Hobbes24, on 01/01/2008, -5/+5i think humanoid form would make sense, as well as similar machines.
- clickmyface, on 01/01/2008, -23/+4Simple! ews control hollywood and jews control aliens. Thus, Spielbergs UFO!
- Soriven, on 01/01/2008, -2/+11IMO, the lightning and lens flares weren't up to par with the rest of the CGI. If those two elements were left out all together, it would have been a much more convincing piece.
- ki85squared, on 01/01/2008, -1/+14Not to mention when there is a wavy image distortion, the edge of the video shows black. Obvious post-processing. :P
- tsos2, on 01/01/2008, -1/+1I get the feeling these may have been done by teenagers. If so, I think they did pretty well. IMHO I especially liked the 2nd one.
- theprez, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1What gives it away is the ripple effect made on the video that makes the black edges of the video appear. However, that's a real awesome animation. I wonder if everything is done in 3D or if the UFO is superimposed on real video. I would guess the first because there's no people in it. What I want to know is who made this and with what? Maybe this is viral marketing for a 3D app?
- FoxOrian, on 01/02/2008, -0/+1The entire second clip was definitely ALL CG, trees, buildings and all. The third one was a bit better done atmospherically to look realistic. But since all you really see are an outline of land and trees, these were probably all CG as well. Impressive attempt at the "cell-phone" video look, though.
- ChromaVita, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2Didn't the clip say that was video from the 60's? In that case it was still poor quality video, it just didn't come from anything digital, and certainly not a cell phone...
- unitedstatians, on 01/02/2008, -0/+1Dugg the story! Because one day. All the FAKE-screamers (commenters like you) are going to get it up the a**.
- nottidredd, on 01/01/2008, -14/+222If this was real. I think I would have heard about it by now.
- georgemason01, on 01/01/2008, -21/+16Because everything important that happens is made public?
- Jpesci, on 01/01/2008, -3/+10If there was ever an authentic sighting seen by the masses in public the world would know within hours; it'd be headline news in every country. But I guess the problem is being able to corroborate what's real with actual evidence, so there may be stuff out there that simply can't be verified, specifically most of the video stuff seen or taped by sole individuals.
- DEADB33F, on 01/01/2008, -1/+3Maybe they all got flashed with the neuralyzer?
- latpack, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4If thats what you think, then what do you make of the Phoenix, Arizona sightings in 1997?
http://www.ufocasebook.com/phoenixlights.html
headline news indeed.- Jpesci, on 01/02/2008, -0/+1This is not a corroborated sighting like seeing a flying disc in mid-daylight. This was a bunch of unidentifiable lights in the skies that has never been confirmed to be of extraterrestrial origin.
- Cndor, on 01/02/2008, -0/+0Special agencies are taking care of those things.
- FlynnRocks, on 01/01/2008, -2/+10It's a conspiracy!!!
- ShadowPt2, on 01/01/2008, -1/+34Maybe we can jump to the same conclusion we did last time:
....CLOVERFIELD? - endrid, on 01/01/2008, -4/+28Have you heard of the Pheonix lights? Those were real and not widely known... Google it.
- mijoja, on 01/01/2008, -5/+17Real and contested by some as flares with evidence to support that fact. A mile wide UFO flying over a freeway in daylight is a little different than unidentified lights that people see in the middle of the night.
- cococooky, on 01/02/2008, -1/+4The military DID let off flares that night - as a cover. The flares happened hours after the original sighting. The former Governor has come out and said there was a cover-up.
- andrewry, on 01/01/2008, -1/+4For one, it's Phoenix, and two, they have never been confirmed, so don't call them real without proof. They were bright lights in the sky, and like mijoja said, it's not as definite as seeing a mile wide saucer in near daylight.
- SuperWinner, on 01/02/2008, -5/+8Phoenix lights were a group of guys on ultra lite flyer's with flood lights attached to them, they hung close together in formation for a while and had some other people film it. There are no aliens and there is no Jebus.
- ShaneMcDeath, on 01/02/2008, -3/+2You hear that folks ? We are alone in the universe. Superwinner knows apparently.
- moliver000, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1Phoenix lights were military flares.

- SuperWinner, on 01/02/2008, -3/+18The Americans would have started a war with them by now...
- tyywebb, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1Sorry they are not a rag tag bunch with nothing to defend themselves but a few machine guns. We know better. ; )
- hollowex, on 01/02/2008, -2/+2You forgot they aren't dark skinned either.
- tyywebb, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1Sorry they are not a rag tag bunch with nothing to defend themselves but a few machine guns. We know better. ; )
- xonahuia, on 01/02/2008, -1/+6fake or real it was still cool to watch just like Pamela Anderson wearing a bikini
- Willy0Panhandle, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4Think of the poor cows!
- igotlaidoff, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4UFOs drive them MAD
- Jookly, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2You did but you don't believe it
- TokenWhiteGuy, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1It looks like the one from Independence Day.
- andrgo, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2Multiple persons captured the 1997 UFO's in Phoenix on camera, and then we supposedly have this "mile wide", larger-than-life UFO and only one guy has got a video for it? Yeah, that's believable.
- yodagetsit, on 01/02/2008, -2/+1If it were real it would have been swept under the rug
- TomT223, on 01/02/2008, -0/+0Fool. Unless you have been wearing your tin foil hat then they would have erased it from your mind! That's why I never take mine off and why I'm able to see who is an alien and who isn't.
Fact: more then half of the presidential candidates are not from this solar system.
- georgemason01, on 01/01/2008, -21/+16Because everything important that happens is made public?

- orlyfactor, on 01/01/2008, -1/+5I'm going to memorize all the keys for Rick Roll videos...
- mikesuds, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4I find it hard to believe that a huge site like Digg is JUST NOW experiencing the rickroll. This ***** has been around for a long ass time at this point. Find something else to try to be funny with. This really just isn't cutting it folks.
- Bologner, on 01/02/2008, -1/+4Welcome to Digg. You, obviously, haven't been here long.
- U186, on 01/02/2008, -5/+3Seriously. don't bury him just because he rick rolled your ass! ;)
he deserves a dig!- moonguidex, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1I agree, hehe...
- appleseed1234, on 01/02/2008, -0/+3I can't tell how they did it either.
- k4rb0n8, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1god ***** dammit second time today
- obliviousfool, on 01/01/2008, -2/+249Nice fakes. You can hardly tell the folks in the source videos are talking about tornadoes.
- Hincapie, on 01/01/2008, -0/+8yeah, i have a "storm chaser" video where the chaser says "appears to be moving to a populated area." recognized that right away. wonder if i still have that video...
- xonahuia, on 01/02/2008, -6/+1Maybe Kucinich?
- Noceous, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2Audio is from http://www.tornadovideos.net/index.cfm/do/gallery. ... Not sure which one but the voice is Reed's, one of the chasers.
- duser4, on 01/02/2008, -4/+2NEGATIVE. They were chasing Rosie O'Donald... How could you not tell?
"Look! It's HUGE!"
"It appears to be moving to a populated area"
"MAY GOD HELP US!!!!1"
- oMeSSiaHo, on 01/01/2008, -54/+18Wow, thats fake?! You people are so smart!
Are you guys really proud that you noticed that? Why cant a video just be fun?- Jhiaxuz, on 01/01/2008, -1/+13People like to call out things and say they look terrible, but at the same time we never see any proof that they can do any better.
- Nessco, on 01/01/2008, -0/+5Well said.

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Revelation 6 (KJV)
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Curious, when I wrote of advanced technology and quoted Hopi prophecy and Christian texts, which religion did you feel was being forced on you?
"Religion is a primitive form of philosophy, [the] attempt to offer a comprehensive view of reality."

“An unflinching determination to take the whole evidence into account is the only method of preservation against the fluctuating extremes of fashionable opinion.”

"To this there also belongs the faith in the possibility that the regulations valid for the world of existence are rational, that is, comprehensible to reason. I cannot conceive of a genuine scientist without that profound faith. The situation may be expressed by an image: science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

Luke 17 : (KJV)
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
TAKEN: The epic miniseries (Science fiction) Taken is an epic saga that weaves together the stories of three families over multiple generations — and their crucial roles in the history of alien abductions. Set against the backdrop of actual historical events, Taken creates a powerfully emotional and evocative tale of mankind's encounters with extraterrestrials.
Left Behind: The Movie (Religious drama) In one chaotic moment, millions of people around the world suddenly disappear. Mass confusion hits while vehicles suddenly unmanned veer out of control, fires erupt and hysteria breaks out as the living stare in disbelief and fear at the empty places where their loved ones were just seconds before. This is the rapture, the first sign to begin the unraveling of the end of time.

- musicbear, on 01/01/2008, -0/+3Just think of someone with a real budget doing that type of stuff in a movie... the closest so far I think has been the effects in Spielberg's war of the worlds.
- SpartanMan, on 01/01/2008, -2/+27I still want to believe
- j00b, on 01/02/2008, -0/+1Well spoken.
- cybermort, on 01/01/2008, -14/+2wow DEFINITELY real
- killkev, on 01/01/2008, -4/+46If that UFO was real, and I was the one filming, I think I would be more concerned with the massive fecal patty that managed to seep through my 5 year old levis rather than continuing to film it.
- musicbear, on 01/01/2008, -1/+19I think it would be one long "OH ***** OH *****!" voice over repeated for the duration of the footage as well.
- Biks, on 01/02/2008, -6/+5I hope you would've gotten a shot of it. (the fecal patty)
- Nidy1, on 01/02/2008, -3/+2What the *****.

And remember...they don't like the water...- ravage86, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4I'm sure they've already tasted water, we need to offer them some cola.
Speaking of which, where's M. Night these days?
- ravage86, on 01/02/2008, -0/+4I'm sure they've already tasted water, we need to offer them some cola.
- Kamael, on 01/01/2008, -1/+3It has begun.
- beggersfunk, on 01/01/2008, -1/+2Great CGI work!
- ldgiordano, on 01/01/2008, -4/+23The great lord Xenu returns!!
- aoru, on 01/01/2008, -0/+4My biggest pet peeve on viral videos is that when cgi is involved they NEVER get the zoom, auto focus, and shake right. Especially the zoom and auto focus part. It always looks so unnatural.
- MalDON, on 01/01/2008, -1/+1That and the video is already very steady like a professional cameraman took it. At least shoot it cloverfield style so it is almost believable.
- InitialDMP5, on 01/01/2008, -0/+6I totally agree. However, there is a process called Matchmoving that has to be done with the video source footage before the 3D footage can be composited. In order to get the matchmove to work, you need to do what is called tracking. Once you track enough points, it creates a 3D mapping of the tracking points and you can use that data to have your 3D object match the very subtle camera movements that occur. So any person who has done tracking knows that its very hard to track motion blur. So what is done is called a post camera move.
All of this is very time consuming and technical, requiring multiple programs and data. So for something like this video that is not professional and lacking a big budget and a studio of people working on it, you can expect problems. But when I see it I am impressed. As a fellow visual effects artists I totally respect that guy for the work he put together.
Also, I feel sorry for the people who had to track the cameras in Cloverfield, but I'm guessing they did a lot of post camera moves as well.

- Brian.Honaker, on 01/01/2008, -1/+11There are too many of these vids coming out lately. Seems like a viral campaign. It would be cool if it was real.
- GeekyGerge, on 01/01/2008, -4/+7Probably Cloverfield
- Brian.Honaker, on 01/02/2008, -4/+1Most likely.
- eyefork, on 01/02/2008, -0/+2Outlook is good
- Brian.Honaker, on 01/02/2008, -4/+1Most likely.
- ravage86, on 01/02/2008, -1/+2Why exactly would it be cool if aliens attacked us? Call me crazy, but I want them to be my friend.
- alphaterminus, on 01/02/2008, -1/+1Maybe they would have a weapon that selectively targets every dumbass on the planet. On the bright side, it would eliminate 50% of the people here and 100% of those at Kos and LGF.
- Cndor, on 01/02/2008, -0/+0Military has the real ones.
- GeekyGerge, on 01/01/2008, -4/+7Probably Cloverfield
- GayMafiaKingpin, on 01/01/2008, -1/+24Were those little houses just the houses from a game of Monopoly?
- InitialDMP5, on 01/01/2008, -0/+6they were very low poly 3D models. I don't understand going through all the trouble of making these great shots, and then stumbling on the houses.
