- tmesis, on 10/12/2007, -3/+47Forget the prior convictions and the prison break. Using myspace at 35 is enough reason to arrest that man.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+42He's 35 and on myspace..
- quarsaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34totally,

"Well I'm at the library again, hope no one recognizes me..." - dustedbunny, on 10/12/2007, -4/+36:D
Trust me. This is the only myspace related article I think i'd ever submit. - Popdmb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28"Bates also faces sexual assault charges in New Bedford, Mass., said Detective Al Silva with the New Bedford police department."
Predicted that before I even read the article... - dustedbunny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24Thing is. He escaped from a jail in Georgia...over the summer. And they found in Pennsylvania. I really don't think that just looking at his location on his myspace page would have worked too well in the long run.
- krewemaynard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22Way to answer your own question there, Columbo.
- hoowahman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Give the guy a break he was looking for some afterjailtime pootietang.
- alexthemonster, on 10/12/2007, -7/+24If only they would arrest more people for having MySpace accounts...
- Popdmb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17He's 35, escaped, and on MySpace.
You'd think after escaping from prison you'd pull an Andy Dufresne and escape to the coast, but why do that when you can read the blogs of sixteen year old emo kids?
This guy needs to be thrown in jail on principle. - Haohmaru, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17MySpace. A place for Fiends.
- Ramtech, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16Finally, something usefull out of myspace...
- cocoamix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I wonder if they say "Thanks for the add!" in prison?
- saska, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I'm not sure why the myth perpetuates that using a public computer is somehow a smart way to go about things as a fugitive -or- a hacker or any other type of deviant (no offense intended to the hackers). When I ran an ISP we caught a kid attempting to modify our RADIUS database from a terminal in the lab at the local community college. When we called the lab monitor, he'd handed in his driver's license in exchange for using the machine.
- Popdmb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I think they use "Don't drop the soap."
- Popdmb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9NBC is now pissed that they wont be able to feature him on "To Catch a Predator 36."
- krewemaynard, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12And your point is...? I'm preparing to enter the 30+ crowd, and I'm on MySpace. It's been a great way to find old friends, and for them to find me. I'm also happily married, so I'm not out on the prowl. That may separate me from 98% of MySpace users, which is just peachy by me.
Also, I hate MySpace. The interface is horrendous, there's bugs everywhere, there's spam everywhere, yadda yadda. Take it for what it's worth.... - FearlessFreep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Kinda makes me wonder how many people posting here are escaped convicts at the public library as well
- armbar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Thanks for the ass.
- Daunting, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7these days tmesis, Playboy is pretty much a culture magazine. You have to actually attempt to look for naked women in most of their magazines. Plus they have articles from some of the greatest scientists (Hawkings was on there a while ago), and some very well known writers. No excuse me while I pleasure myself to the articles.
- DeusMachinae, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Maybe he should write a blog from prison, like Oscar Bluth.(Arrested Development, anyone?)
- livejamie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5where's the link to his profile?
- martalli, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6What an idiot! I'm not using my real name on digg and I'm not even a fugitive, just seeking some privacy (I'm sure you could track me down through my website, etc.)
Didn't this guy ever think of using an alias? Was posting personal stuff all over the internet really worth going back to prison? - pirana0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You do know places like Myspace are required to log IP addresses. Myspace most definitely logs the last IP address you signed in from. Therefore a way to find where you were. And fugitives will eventually be caught, unless of course they find a way to get to another country, and there still are chances of being found.
I guess my above comment wasn't understandable. - justice7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4okay that was gay
- asauterChicago, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4@Popdmb, how is e-mail a much better tool for communication? There's no viruses or spam with regular e-mail, seriously??
I know people on this board are super-duper anti-myspace. Which, honestly, I don't get it. Since I joined myspace June, I have reconnected with people that I haven't talked to in 10-15 years, it's great. The other issue is with e-mail is within the past 10 years, I have had more than one job, more than one work e-mail, more than one cell phone, my personal e-mails get overrun with spam and become unusable. Myspace, for the most part is WAY more efficient means of keeping in touch with old friends/co-workers. You can share photos, blogs, etc. it's just much easier than trying to manage old contacts and see what people are up to.
I'm also married, with kids, and I have no interest in using myspace to pick up young girls. Most of my friends are also married, so maybe that's why I'm out of touch with all the "bad" myspace stuff, I don't know, I really don't get why people hate it so much. - raynar, on 10/12/2007, -6/+9"Dear MySpace Blog,
Today, I took a shank in the gut from Tito. It hurt really bad. Thats ok, the Aryans are planning on taking care of him.
Big date tonight. Duke, my roomate, is planning on taking me out. I think he might be bringing the bottle of moonshine he's been brewing in the toilet. YUM!
I've been doing ass-pushups, and making sure I am clean and shaved back there. Hopefully, he wont be too rough, and poke my stomach from the inside when we're going at it bareback-style.
Mood: I'm walking on sunshine...whoaaa whoa whoa..." - PRlME, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i use TorPark on my USB, cause ya never know!
- AlphAssassin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Think he wrote in his blog?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2first thing i do after i escape from prison is to check out all my sweet myspace invites and comments!
- glucoseboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2“It’s amazing to us the number of people, regardless of their status as far as being wanted, that do get on computers and do use their real names or use aliases that are well known, and they can be tracked that way,” Massee said.
Yup, people are dumb. move along... - dustedbunny, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4hoowahman,
Problem is. He escaped from prison so it really wasnt "afterjailtime". haha.
More like... "crap i better get laid before i get caught again" kind of thing? - spartan777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wow, if we don't stop Bush from infringing on our privacy like this, travesties like this will only continue to go... oh wait.
- fitchmicah, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3it's not just the government that has access to myspace databases!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's nice that they caught the guy but I don't like the idea of logging everyone's ip address's....were not all criminals!!!
- Sedako, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I didn't make it, but i'm not sure who did. I just thought it was funny and relevant to the topic.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Idiot shoulda used Tor.
- general13, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Generally, if you're the sort of guy who's main priority in life is checking your MySpace profile when you're fresh out of prison...ToR isn't the sort of thing you're probably aware of.
Dunce. - PrometheuZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Where's this freaks myspace page, if it hasn't already been extracted? Go figure, he's a Bates.
- Darrigan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I suspect a candidate for the Darwin awards... 9.9
- tombomb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Airing next tuesday!
- krakkinem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Smart enough to break out of jail, but dumb enough to routinely visit the same public place and log personal information.
I predict this sick-o getting molested in prison. Karma is a bitch! - musntSurfatWork, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Well now he can have his myprisonspace.com although bubba wont want to give up all of hisprisonspace.com
- DuttonLake, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2@Sedako Nice Ascii Art
- sapphicbeats, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1ROTFL @cocoamix
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Congratulations to dustedbunny, not only for owning this front page article, but also for owning half of the comments in it! Geez!
- tmesis, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6@krewemaynard
I bet you subscribe to Playboy for the articles as well. - mrops, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1guess the guy didn't hear about TOR.
Hope folks don't ask what is TOR! -
