I sooo had a joke ready. - DiggCommando, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8"Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?
No, says the man in Washington. It belongs to the poor. No, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God. No, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone.
I rejected those answers. Instead, I CHOSE something DIFFERENT, I CHOSE the IMPOSSIBLE. I CHOSE... Utter Inn. - Ac1dburn, on 12/02/2008, -0/+7Cool article. There is also a hostel/hotel in Slovenia called Hostel Celica that used to a prison. Cells have been renovated into rooms that are decorated by local artists.

- mvanhorn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I like the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obisbo
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madonna_Inn - blitzer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Neatorama" is probably the worst url on the internet.
- IShouldBeWorkin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2That Utter House (Otter House) looks like a very interesting idea, especially around reefs where theres tons of sea life
- drewfer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I stayed in a pretty weird "hotel" in Granada, Spain. It was essentially an apartment dug into a hillside and the owner was dracula's wife.
- CalmLlama, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The Kennedy isn't really a hotel, well it is, but i wouldn't want to stay there. It has an excellent bar though, and you can drink in the movie theater. I had this peach beer there that was by far the best fruit beer ive ever had.
- CalmLlama, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i guess they have dorm room type things where you can sleep it off too.
- Render, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1None in Japan? Hm.
- kuhllax24, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Stayed here two weeks ago in Berlin. More cool than weird. Artist had breakfast with the guests, a really nice guy. Highly recommend it, except for the room with coffins as beds:

- jlauten, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I like this list better. And it's all on one page!
- Inputfunnyname, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Nice story, but I wouldn't stay at any of these hotels...
- dertykevin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Is it just me or does the heated igloo hotel sound ***** awesome? I really wanna hit up that restaurant made out of snow.
- jncupp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I dugg it solely for the Kant joke.
- SuccessWriter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Love the woodpecker and the dog. Very ingenious idea. Might have to rebook my next vacation. ;-)
- boodaa, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I likes dogs, but no way would I stay in that thing.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Hemp Hotel sounds like a good place to stay.
- hyperart, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0The Ice Hotel in Quebec is a memorable sight. I guess it's not so much weird as it is dazzling. But actually staying in it for a night is a whole 'nother story...
http://www.icehotel-canada.com - blujupiter, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Here is a better list...http://www.realestatefinance.com/articles/top_10_strangest_hotels_1.php
