Or maybe someone at the spa started a "Fire Crystal Bell" group with a Donald Trump application.
- jboitnott, on 01/06/2009, -0/+11That's almost as bad as breaking up with someone on Facebook ... or maybe worse.

You were hired via Facebook and fired via Facebook. This should NOT be a surprise. - johnnick, on 01/06/2009, -0/+5"You can't text message break up!"

- AmyVernon, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3If you're hired on Facebook and fired on Facebook ... maybe not?
- JamesBondJr, on 01/06/2009, -1/+3that's still low. people need some face to face contact.
- blakelylaw580, on 01/12/2009, -0/+1OK people, this isn't as bad as the linked-to article makes it sound. I actually went back to the original Canadian newspaper article. What really happened is that the worker didn't show up for a staff meeting after only 2 weeks on the job. Her boss claims she tried to call her, but couldn't reach her & didn't want a scene in front of other employees & customers. The boss then sent her what amounts to an e-mail through Facebook. The main point is that it was private; no different than receiving a "you're fired" letter in the mail.
