- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -16/+108Well, the assigned defender is part of the miranda rights we have as American citizens.
That being said; if I was his defender I would blow out his kneecap and shoot him in the back of the head. - vexter, on 10/12/2007, -36/+98 CASTRATION FOR ALL CHILD MOLESTERS. Death isnt good enough.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -78/+139no video, no digg!!!
/jk - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+56no, once he goes to prison he will be killed within days.
- addisonj, on 10/12/2007, -1/+48"There is a special level of hell, reserved for child molesters and people who talk in the movie theater"
- grendelboogie, on 10/12/2007, -2/+35This is just hidiously evil. I hope he goes away for a long time.
- dpalmer, on 10/12/2007, -7/+30This reminds me of an article I read about a man who molested and murdered a 10 year old girl named Katie. While in prison, he was forcibly given a tattoo by inmates on his forehead. The tattoo read "Katie's Revenge."
One can only hope that this sick bastard receives the same kind of treatment when he is locked up. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21I occasionally visit Ogrish, and one of the recurring things I have seen is someone being murdered in prison - generally, their crime had something to do with children.
This guy is so screwed. - Molnies, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20"Agents showed the e-mailed video files to the girl's mother, who identified the child."
That must be one of the worst moments in her (the mothers) life... - Foenetik, on 10/12/2007, -8/+27Cases like this should only end in either the death penalty or a very lengthy jail sentence...plus castration.
- timmytheraw, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22Ignore the moral issues of the death penalty for a moment. It's far worse a punishment to spend your entire life in prison (which he should) than a few years followed by leathal injection. The death penalty is the easy way out. He should suffer the rest of his natural life in jail receiving some love making from fellow prisoners.
- brickbat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19The poor kid.
- vuzman, on 10/12/2007, -13/+30@KillaGoat: The girl's dad is actually ok with it...
I'm just kidding, of course, but I do have a point: It's about the girl, and what has been committed against her. Other people's feelings should not be relevant. The punishment should fit the crime. Agin, your personal feelings should not be relevant.
I can see how you can argue that the death sentence is ok for a murderer. But giving the death sentence to a person who didn't kill anyone; well, now all of a sudden the punishment is bigger than the crime. You might argue that there are worse things you can do to a person than kill him, and you'd be right, but seriously, feelings aside, the little girl is not going to remember this, and will probably not be traumatized in any way by this, since she doesn't have any notions about the right or wrong about this situation.
I'm not saying that what the father did was ok; not at all, and he should be punished and the girl should be removed from his "care", but going for the death sentence is really missing the mark on this one.
Edit: Castration might be an option, and castration (by pills) is used in several places for sex offenders. - weasel75, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Yeah, what society was not able to detect/handle/fix will be corrected by the morally never-wrong inmates.
All power to prisoners! - QueenOfSwords, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Assuming she didn't know... a lot of women in this situation suspect but look the other way.
- pintomp3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11my god, i don't even know where to begin. this is sick on a whole new level. i hope he goes away for a long long time and that she is too young to remember any of it. the potential of psychological damage is devastating.
- everfalling, on 10/12/2007, -7/+14yeah, ok, terrible horrible unspeakable act, but death doesn't solve anything besides filling some revenge blood lust. sorry, i just thought we were past the whole eye for an eye thing. you know, thumb screws and cutting off the hands of thieves. yeah thought we were over that. guess not. seriously. the guy is a sick ***** and we can take solace in the fact he'll rot in jail for the rest of his life, and most likely get shanked a few months into it. There's really no reason to go through the expensive and tedious legal processes to put him to death to justify some sense of medieval justice. yeah we'd all like to take a sharp object to his head, but i think the same way with my boss but i dont do it, no matter how much he diserves it. Death penalty is about revenge in the guise of justice, nothing more. People who advocate the state killing of a human being is advocating bloody murdurous revenge, not actual justice. It's a purely emotional issue and i donno why it's even discussed. thought the human race has gone past that little hump in civilization, but i guess not.

Here is the article on Katie's Revenge.

This guy will pay the price for abusing a 15 month old girl. Going to prison and being amongst killers, gangsters and psychos has got to be terrifying to anybody that has never been around thugs before. But going to prison and being around killers, gangsters and psychos that will ALL target you... would break any man. - dBLiSS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Lets be thankful the childs memory has developed much yet and the kid won't remember any of this when she gets older.
- lulax, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10The one thing you can count on from jail inmates is that they all HATE child molesters. It still won't be the kind of pain he has inflicted, but he is not going to enjoy what life he has left.
- Portside, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6What the ***** does this have to do with "pimp culture"? People have been raping babies since the beginning of time.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Good thing she wasn't older -- 15 months old and it's likely she'll forget about it in the future unless the authorities and her family constantly make it an issue.
- ckrickett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6inmates have no remorse for child molestors
- kdehead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6they've been monitoring that for ages now - its called the Echelon system.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"This is Digg, home of the loserboy nerd"
SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE COCKSTAIN!? - mrjkwik, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6those of you who have the "high morality", scare me almost as much as he does.
i'm not gonna sit here and debate you. you want to think that those of us that feel this man should be put down are neanderthals, immoral, uncivil? knock yourself out. whatever makes you feel better at night.
not that i wish it upon any one of you, but i'd like to know your exact mindset should this kind of situation ever happen to you.
and for the genious' that wanna claim disease, defect, whatever. got some words for you. i dont give a *****. that doesnt fix what happened to the child. nor would i want to wait and see if he gets "fixed". and no, castration doesnt fix the problem. it just gets rid of one tool to do the damage.
and in case you dont get it. any one, man or woman, that violates a child like that, has no soul, no rights, no humanity, IN MY EYES. you assume i fall under those that follow "gods law". and well, we all know the justice system doesnt always work. so judge me as you will. i know what i'd do should i found that kind of horror forced upon my children.
pick which little motto you wanna go buy and stick to. "an eye for an eye", or "turn the other cheek".
this subject infuriates me to no end. i just cant help to think that those not thinking this guy deserves the chair or any other horrors that come to him dont have children. and if you do, must live in such a priviledged and sheltered world that you cant truly imagine something happening to your own.
oh, and for the chump that chose to use the word "machismo", i know plenty females who would pull the trigger/pull the switch themselves. - TyRaNNOus, on 10/12/2007, -54/+59The "defender" in this case is merely going to be a negotiator, he is not going to argue for this man's freedom but rather a reduced sentence.
And sentences like "Generally I dont believe in the death penalty, but for cases like this I do." Makes you just as sick as this guy. It is NEVER okay to take a person's life, it is very normal to feel like harm should come to a person like this but that is why we are human being's we try to move foreward in society, we must overcome our rash emotions in all cases. - jonconley, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Sentence should be a bullet in the head for him and anyone like him. And before you reply w/ any moral or religious statements, I don't care. There is a bullet for you too.
- UltimaNut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I feel sorry for the girl and the taxpayers of that state who have to pay to DEFEND this guy and pay to house, feed and put cloths on his back. A bullet in the head sound better for everyone.
- mrmatchgame, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6SICK *****!!!
- vasyl83, on 10/12/2007, -13/+18This is simply sick I just hope that other convicts will kill this guy if he doesn't get death penalty, he deserves nothing less than death. 15 months!
- nazadus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+61.) It's all part of the judicial system. What if it really wasn't him and it was someone else that looks very close to him? What if x? What if y?
2.) ***** need to DIAF if it's true (although unlikely to happen)
3.) OR die very painfully in prison -- which I'm sure will happen. I'm not a blood person, so I couldn't do it, but I could think of some pretty nasty things to do to this *****.
3.5) Neither 2 or 3 will still undo what he has done. Give him the needle and be done with it.
4.) Arguing if he deserves the death penalty is like arguing how you like your coffee -- we all have our ^opinions^. That's what makes us human. It also makes people like him. Evolution or Darwinism will take care of the rest (read: he is sooo screwed; no pun intended; or is it?) - Sirocco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5If he's guilty, I don't care to pay for the guy to rot in prison for the rest of his life. Mulch his ass and use him to fertilize the lawn in front of the courthouse.
- MadceltUK, on 10/12/2007, -10/+14I can't believe that the comment expressed by KillaGoat of executing a child molester is buried while the comment by Junkmail (albeit made tounge in cheek, at least I hope it was) is modded up!
FFS
Personally, if it was my child, I would have no problems taking the law into my own hands. - BobsYourUncle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4And if we killed them, my tax money wouldn't go towards keeping them alive. I propose killing them.
- kdehead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4why dont we do an exchange with the Iranians?
you send us "woman who commited adultery - about to be stoned to death or hanged"... and we send you a child molestor.
fair swap. and the iranians can still do their stoning - while we rescue a poor, abused, Iranian woman. - Pimpalicious316, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6the only solace i gain from this is knowing he won't last long in jail.
and who the hell keeps digging down the people that think this ***** should die for this? sure, go ahead and get up on your high horse and preach your holier-than-thou-art morals. you rape and/or kill a child, you give up all human rights. burn him alive for all i care.
care to digg me down, now? haters... - UltimaNut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"What i am saying is that is not your reason for attacking him, your reasons are mostly based on bizarre, baseless 'moral' grounds and a desire to hurt someone not the help anyone"
Wrong. Its based on the fact that statisics show that this kind of behavior DOES NOT STOP. Ank any PO or cop. Its just continues ..on and on and on.
My desire to see this hunk of ***** killed stems from my desire to not allow this to happen to another child. Nothing less..nothing more.
- ibeetle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I hope they do not sentence this man to death. Where he will enjoy the protection of death row from the general prison population.
I hope he is sentenced to 15-20 years in jail. Where he will be raped, repeatedly every night for several days. Then one night he will be be beaten, and stabbed. And die a very slow, and painful death. Dying alone in a dirty prison hospital bed. He will then be buried in a unmarked prison grave. And forgotten. - Karyyk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4There's sarcasm, and then there's bad taste. That's the latter...
- AnotherBrian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Of course he is assigned defender.
In a case where the suspect admits his crime, the defender's job is actually to help the prosecution by providing a challenge to all the prosecutor's arguments to ensure that they are valid. That is so that the defendant can't say later that he didn't get a fair trial and try to get out on a technicality. - flashboy131, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4omg. this story is scary.
- slundal, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8There is no I say NO punishment severe enough for guys like this.
- mediaphile, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@everfalling:
for some reason everyone saying this guy should be severely punished are being dugg down. - brendanheyu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Hang him. Why bother?
It was his Daughter. This man has no moral bounds.
Don't pay for a lifelong holiday, buy an Urn. - Caliente, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4i'd like to see him be put down like a rabid dog as well.
if this was in Saudi Arabia, he'd be headless. - jusme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I found the guy's yahoo profile with about 2 seconds worth of searching, it's seriously messed up...this guy is for real unfortunately:
http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-8wXybX0ibqg4a2u9h_cGNM940So-?cq=1 - jellygraph, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I thought I had blocked you... oh well, time to do it again
- buttershug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Unfortunately, castration doesn't cure sex offenders. It's a mental disease, and if they want to, they'll easily find another way to abuse.
- InsaneHomer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3send this fcker to Gitmo where they can 'extract' info from him about his other sick buddies.
Death is not good enough for him, a very long, slow and painful torture would be more suited, maybe then there'd be a bit of regret.
