- Notasheeple, on 08/29/2008, -62/+646Ron Paul rip off.
- beargrylls, on 08/29/2008, -21/+326Evolution contains the word "love" backwards. And?
- shady1630, on 08/29/2008, -22/+196How does love have anything to do with evolution?
- BaudiIROCZ, on 08/29/2008, -27/+137Well apparently McCain's VP pick Sarah Palin is a creationist. I brought this up to some McCain supporters on facebook and apparently they "don't believe in evolution" either.
Does this mentality scare the ***** out of anyone else? - Mycael, on 08/29/2008, -32/+125i like it. looks Banksy ish.
- leebe1110, on 08/29/2008, -3/+66You know who also has a quite a beard? Charles Darwin.
- curtisag, on 08/29/2008, -4/+58I don't see the point in this. Maybe someone can explain the significance to me? How did this hit the front page?
- EmperorOfCheese, on 08/29/2008, -5/+50Yes, because the theory of evolution hasn't changed at all over time. Scientists just ignore any new evidence.
So believing you does in fact = idiocy. - Witchdoktor, on 08/29/2008, -10/+53Sonic Youth rip off.
- JettaMan, on 08/29/2008, -9/+51I take this to mean that the Ron Paul revolution will continue and it will continue to evolve. Let's hope they can take over the Republican Party.
- idiotech, on 08/29/2008, -3/+41Is that how you justify your total lack of knowledge on the subject? Is that how you justify your ignorance of scientific fact?
Evolution isn't racist and your assumptions of Darwin's conclusions indicate that you're probably too lazy to go read and understand what the theory of evolution really is about. (hint: It's really basic logic.) - inactive, on 08/29/2008, -1/+39REVOLUTION

- ApokalypseNow, on 08/29/2008, -5/+35Love is evolutionarily advantageous, as it causes selfless actions on, say, the part of parents to protect their young, thus perpetuating the genetic line.
- JettaMan, on 08/29/2008, -10/+40Exactly. Love is a human emotion. Evolution is science and science is logic. I'm sure there are some artsy-fartsy people who will argue about the importance of love in science, but ***** get real.
- alperea, on 08/29/2008, -0/+29Don't you see? When they were inventing the word "evolution", they made sure that they put love in there backwards, as a secret meaning! Then they rode off on their magical unicorns.
- MforMike, on 08/29/2008, -13/+42why is this on digg

- analogkid01, on 08/29/2008, -2/+26First, learn to use commas.
Second, are we sure that "less evolved" means "less capable" or "less worthy of rights"? Evolution says nothing about race or racism. - falstaff, on 08/29/2008, -2/+24Quite the opposite. Each distinct population of human beings has evolved to suit their native environment. For some populations having darker skin was more advantageous than lighter. Some environments encouraged the opposite. I'm sorry your backwater creationist friends have lied to you about this to keep you in line. Kind of makes you wonder what else they've lied about, doesn't it?
- RandomEyes, on 08/29/2008, -0/+20I'm wondering the same thing
- pintomp3, on 08/29/2008, -5/+25holy crap:
The volatile issue of teaching creation science in public schools popped up in the Alaska governor's race this week when Republican Sarah Palin said she thinks creationism should be taught alongside evolution in the state's public classrooms.
http://scienceblogs.com/afarensis/2006/10/27/intel ... - Flump5000, on 08/29/2008, -0/+20people seem to think banksy invented the stencil. this is one of the oldest street art methods there are.
- dgn3, on 08/29/2008, -2/+20umm... technically everyone is just as evolved as everyone else, but in different ways. so you're wrong. people with darker skin color are merely adapted to the sun much better than your (probably) white ass is. :)
- Someguy101, on 02/19/2009, -3/+21Evolution is as much a belief system as gravity is.
Also, there is no such thing as an "evolutionist". That would be like saying I'm a gravityist. - mikeraiwet, on 08/29/2008, -3/+21You, my friend are a moron.
- SciurusIX, on 08/29/2008, -13/+30Natural selection did give Darwin the sexiest beard ever. I would hit that. By the way, Darwin named his razor 'natural selection'.
- ApokalypseNow, on 08/29/2008, -2/+19@Radical5
Crocodiles are not social animals - the comparison is invalid. Social animals, however (such as apes, monkeys, wolves, plains cats, many species of birds, and many herd animals) *do* protect their young.
How long a species has been around has no bearing on whether or not they will develop emotions - they will only do so if such becomes advantageous for them in their environment. - ApokalypseNow, on 08/29/2008, -1/+18You said, "Love has absolutely nothing to do with perpetuating a species."
I was refuting that statement by saying that no, it can have a great deal to do with perpetuating the species. Of course it is not necessary, but it can be a great help, and thus is a behavior and/or trait that will be passed on. - mechnoch, on 08/29/2008, -19/+36Ron Paul does not believe in evolution.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JyvkjSKMLw - Xansas, on 08/29/2008, -2/+18We're only arrogant because we're right.
- bullhead2007, on 08/29/2008, -3/+19No it doesn't scare me! I don't believe in gravity, and I'm part of the flat earth society. They're welcome company :D
- DelayedEraser, on 08/29/2008, -8/+24you say "Yay Science", and yet you claim we have "absolute proof" of something. I think you need to learn more about science.
And for the record, I am *not* decrying evolution. Just bad scientific statements like that one. - nepidae, on 08/29/2008, -2/+17Its hard not to be arrogant when people are so willfully ignorant.
- mk3k, on 08/29/2008, -0/+15I love you! Lets do it!
- BrokenCircle, on 08/29/2008, -1/+16Its like saying "Hello" in Japanese.

- LeviTheSmith, on 08/29/2008, -2/+16Well people "Dugg" it, and the more "Diggs" a submission gets, the more likely it will hit the front page. As for the significance.. I don't know
- Nerfdude, on 08/29/2008, -2/+14so all stencil graffiti is "Banksy style"? give me a break.

"Gravity is a law, evolution is not (yet)."
This demonstrates a fundamentally flawed understanding of the hierarchy of certainty within science, as well as the definitions of what a Law and what a Scientific Theory are.
The Theory of Evolution is a Scientific Theory, which is an explanatory framework for a phenomenon or several related phenomena based upon a preponderance of evidence and peer review. It is as high on the certainty scale as it gets within science. A Law, however, can only *describe* (not explain) phenomena, or sometimes only facets of them. For example, Newton's Laws of Gravitation fall apart in 3-body systems or at very Macro or Micro scales. However, gravitation can be better explained in all those cases by using the Special Theory of Relativity.

In addition, evolution is an observable, demonstrable, and indeed repeatable FACT. One does not "believe" in facts, one simply accepts them. Whether or not you accept facts, however, has no bearing on them remaining facts. - ajadoniz, on 08/30/2008, -0/+12seriously. fart contains art, why don't we make a mural out of that?
- str1fe, on 08/29/2008, -4/+15So because 90% of the population says they believe in a supreme being, that automatically makes it true? You used to be executed if you tried to tell people the earth wasn't flat.
There is no God and he didn't create anything, no matter what the American public wants to believe. Prove either of those statements untrue and I will create 50 accounts to digg you up. And I mean prove, not "The Bible says so, so obviously it must be true."
If anything the statistic you quoted proves how gullible much of the population is. Also, next time, cite the actual poll as your source instead of an article that is reporting on the poll. - cerealjynx, on 08/29/2008, -12/+23Love...Evolution...
Love is the Solution.
I totally get it. - cyrix, on 08/29/2008, -0/+11Can I watch you two?
