- Ciryon, on 12/20/2007, -2/+426. "There's only three things he (Republican presidential candidate and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani) mentions in a sentence: a noun and a verb and 9/11." -- Sen. Joseph Biden, speaking at a Democratic presidential debate.
I lol'd - MaxMWood, on 12/20/2007, -0/+32If you were a cop and saw a guy in a "Dont Tase Me, Bro" T-Shirt - You'd tase them..
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -2/+24...it's hard to beat "Don't tase me bro" , I think everyone needs a T-shirt with that on it, just too be on the safe side.
- 10001110101, on 12/20/2007, -7/+23Because, as bleeding as my heart may be, I think we've all read the reports about what an ***** that guy was.
- Jareth86, on 12/20/2007, -12/+28Ah, "Don't tase me bro". 30-40 years ago, that video would have sparked outrage, maybe even been a defining moment for a nation on fronts of the war on free speech. Now its just a silly catchphrase.
Honestly, you all complain so much about our nation slipping into fascism; did it ever occur to you all that you might actually deserve it? - JonTheGoose, on 12/20/2007, -1/+17No "I like turtles"?? c'mon, this list is lame...
- sovereign3, on 12/20/2007, -4/+20Would you mind getting off your soapbox long enough to see that maybe "Don't tase me, bro!" is kind of funny?
- Unclekoolaid, on 12/20/2007, -0/+14"I move my mouth away from the mic so I can breathe."
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -1/+15"thats how I eat shrimps" is 07's most memorable quote
- brufleth, on 12/20/2007, -2/+15"One time I saw an old lady slip and fall on the sidewalk and I laughed. Then I thought about what it would be like to be an ant on the sidewalk and have that old lady slip and fall on me. Then it wasn't so funny."
- paraphrasing from Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy (I think) - MikeFallopian, on 12/20/2007, -2/+1230-40 years ago no one would have even heard about the incident.
- oldhick, on 12/20/2007, -1/+11Wow, drank too much of the kool-aid this morning eh? The video shows he's a jackass. It shows him not respecting the line that had formed to ask questions. It shows him being a loud mouth. He shouldn't have been tazed, but he's no hero either.
- Enfilade, on 12/20/2007, -1/+10I would have to say my most memorable is Romney's "Freedom requires religion". Memorable because of how appaling it is.
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -8/+16one time my family and i went to tulsa oklahoma because my sister had this weird math competition thing. when we got to the hotel i called margaret beck. she asked me to because she wanted to hear what oklahoma sounds like. when i was there this indian guy came up to me and asked me if i liked gambling. i was like "dude im 13" so he walked away. later on that day when we were driving home from the math competition i saw the same indian walking on the side of the road. i waved to him as we drove by and he waved back. my dad asked what i was waving at and i said "the indian" but nobody could see anyone. i always figured he was a ghost until i saw the VERY SAME indian on walker texas ranger. he tried to tase walker but walker ended up tasing him instead.
- ghank, on 12/20/2007, -0/+8Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
- crushfan, on 12/20/2007, -0/+7I can't believe I've read that.
- Vector713, on 12/20/2007, -0/+7You start smoking week WAY too early in the morning, my friend.
- brufleth, on 12/20/2007, -3/+1030-40 years ago there was a sense of empowerment among young people. Today there is a sense of inevitability.
We're told what to do from the moment we start remembering on up into adulthood and failure to comply means certain doom. We're terrified of shattering the fragile stability that we've managed to surround ourselves with by doing much more than posting on semi anonymous internet forums. We know deep down that our voice is easily ignored and aren't willing to sacrifice what happiness we find in empty media to try to be heard. - alkajazz, on 12/20/2007, -2/+8Yeah your right, its hilarious.
- brufleth, on 12/20/2007, -1/+7I think the concern is that if you were a cop and you saw...anyone, you'd tase them.
- Error601, on 12/20/2007, -1/+6Has the Yale Book of Quotations always been that low brow? The Jerry Springer book of quotations?
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -2/+7I've been saying it for years - forget what the government's doing, we've become a nation of dumbasses. Well, I suppose that's assuming a lot, but damn, we have really let this place go lately.
- aoru, on 12/20/2007, -0/+5was that a deep thought by jack handy?
- ryodoan, on 12/20/2007, -1/+6But its a hell of a lot funnier than when they get shot...
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -0/+5gonna have to go with the "wide stance" one from the ambiguously gay senator
- hierophantus, on 12/20/2007, -0/+5Timely. Thanks, Jay Leno.
- fredrated, on 12/20/2007, -0/+5He also said 'religion requires freedom', but never explained the Dark Ages when religion and monarchies got along just fine, including the phrase 'the divine right of kings'.
- Edwaldo, on 12/20/2007, -0/+4wait, cheney has 9% approval rating, who are they?
- Baelorn, on 12/20/2007, -4/+8Yeah because it is okay to tase people for no reason so long as they're an *****!
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -0/+4no ***** rickroll'd?
- sovereign3, on 12/20/2007, -0/+4Where's that from?

- neodorian, on 12/20/2007, -0/+4...fail
- neodorian, on 12/20/2007, -0/+4You didn't even get the quote right, dingus.
- dgh1973, on 12/20/2007, -3/+6The only thing I can say is it's kind of a shame...
I mean, this is being remembered as a catch phrase and nothing more... nobody seems to be grabbing on to this as a sign of the injustices and loss of freedoms we have in America now. I'm glad it's at least "made it" in pop culture, but the true importance of that film seems lost on everyone.
If you laughed when you saw that movie, I feel bad for you.
If you got mad when you saw that movie, I have nothing but respect for you. - brufleth, on 12/20/2007, -0/+3What is amazingly odd is that I paraphrased Jack Handy earlier in this thread without having seen this comment. I haven't read one of his books since high school and haven't quoted him in probably five years. How very odd.
- JJ2K1, on 12/20/2007, -0/+3Its only funny when it doesn't happen to you right?
- MrUnderbridge, on 12/20/2007, -3/+6People tend to confuse the right to free speech with the right to be a disruptive douchebag wherever, whenever you want. They're not the same thing. We have the former, not the latter.

- Error601, on 12/20/2007, -2/+5Oh please. This whole place is full of hyperbole from teenage drama queens. Some spoiled brat figured out for the first time in his life that when you pick a fight in the adult world, you better have something behind it or you're going to get your ass kicked.
