When you buy bongs or vaporizors that cost that much it's time to get a new hobby. And FWIW zigzags are probably still like $2 a pack.

      I stopped smoking quite a while ago, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING beat a rolled joint of Hawaiian herb. Pipe, bong, no way.

I was commenting on the fact that people spend $1,000 on bongs. You can get a nice little 18 inch bong is like, what, 20 bucks? The more cumbersome multi-chamber bongs probably still go for well under $100.

  • NikoKun, on 02/11/2008, -4/+10Marijuana is a relatively safe recreational drug, especially when compared to currently legal drugs, like alcohol and tobacco (and some pharmacuticles too)... But the most common way it's used, is by smoking it, which carries some health risks, to your respretory system. Now of course this isn't as bad as tobacco, but nonetheless, to make Marijuana even MORE safe to use, You should vaporize it!

    It makes a tiny bit of smell that can be covered up by a candle or incense.
    Plus it takes awhile to get the vapor going, if it was faster/cheaper I'd buy one.

  • Spamcan, on 02/11/2008, -1/+2I've got a voodoo which is identical to the vapir one mentioned in the article. All the seals leak, 90 percent of the smoke never makes it into the bag/mouthpiece. I don't know if it's just mine or if it's a bad product, but short of hotboxing with it it's totally useless. I've also got a pair of Ubie pipes that have lasted me forever and are dirt cheap, thats the way to go if you don't want to drop over $100 on a piece with a motor in it. Ether that, or just go the lightbulb route.

    • twitchr, on 02/11/2008, -1/+5Actually, you get higher than you would normally, it just doesn't seem like it because the smoke from a joint or pipe is an irritant on the eyes and lungs which give you the "heavy" feeling.
      i thought the same thing the first time i hit my friends volcano.

  • GeorgeWKush, on 02/11/2008, -2/+5Since vaping makes marijuana consumption much healthier, I'm surprised the DEA hasn't arrested and taken the assets of vaporizer manufacturers - just to eliminate any healthy alternative, making marijuana use as unhealthy as possible to justify their prohibition. --- And to anyone looking to buy, get either a Vapezilla or a Volcano. Everything else is a complete waste of cash.

      moral: Do not buy vapir one, you will regret it if you do. Although I can give a positive review as an owner of a vapezilla, although it took some browsing around to figure out the right settings to use.

    The real reason i prefer vaporaztion is the amount of herb it uses.

    I can get high 5 times off 1 gram of good quality herb.

  • jwiesenborn, on 02/12/2008, -1/+1I would highly recommend investing in a vaporizer. just got myself a Hotbox about one week ago for $150, and so far i've been very impressed with how clean it feels. normally my throat would burn for hours after smoking, but with a vaporizer you are breathing pure THC. it is so much easier on your respiratory system and it will eventually pay for itself as it is more efficient with your herb.

    I think it's well worth the investment. It's the most fun with a group of people. I can smoke in the house. I don't smell. The new easy fill bags are the best. Not that the old system sucked, just this is more efficient. You can even smoke in the closet in the bedroom while your mother-in-law is sleeping in the guest room and she'll never know (hint hint).
