creepier! - BritishGolgo13, on 11/02/2009, -0/+8I think SecretPact was referring to the initials of Matt Groening which are Homer's hair and ear shape.
- indubitably, on 11/02/2009, -1/+9simpson's halloween costumes always end up looking creepy and weird
- Skirrie, on 11/02/2009, -1/+9better question, same answer... why are his nipples hard?
- neftaly, on 11/02/2009, -9/+16Agreed, I love browsing both Digg and Reddit (twice the fun!), but recently it seems like Digg is simply acting as a mirror of Reddit with a 12-hour time delay.
^ This picture is of Reddit user SplatterSack. - atlasdugged, on 11/01/2009, -2/+9My what big eyes you have
- roastedbagel, on 11/02/2009, -9/+16Holy crap this is the 4th picture today on the front page of a Reddit users Halloween costume. Too bad normal Digg users can't get their stories promoted to the front page, otherwise I'm sure we'd see a bunch of cool costumes of Digg users from last night.
Anyway give credit...This is SplatterSack from Reddit:

- thefuzz311, on 11/02/2009, -18/+21I begin to see more and more every day that digg is mainly stories stolen from reddit; I have loved this site since its announcement by Kevin Rose; but recently its mostly recycled old stories or ones that are "borrowed" and re-tagged from reddit. I really hope there is a change in trends because this is getting to be all too common.

- aforsberg, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2Is that supposed to be Homer or Charlie Brown?
- roastedbagel, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1TheFuzz, I agree 100%, and let me explain why this is happening.
As you can see my comment just a few below, I've now seen 5 stories on Digg that were of a Redditor's Halloween costume.
The thing is, is that on Reddit, I can submit my picture of my sad attempt at being Wolverine for Halloween, and have a very good possibility of it making it to the front page (or a sub reddit front page). Just as all these did we're seeing lately.
With Digg, though, because I'm not a power user, my story has absolutely no chance of getting promoted. Sure, I can do what they do and email/IM/twitter/facebook my submission to 500 people, but still, that's just lame.
This is why we see all of Reddit's community's creativeness, and not our own here at Digg. I too love both DIgg and Reddit, hell I've been here on Digg probably longer than anyone in this thread, it's just sad to see that only a few top people are able to have stories promoted. As if you go to the upcoming queue, theres thousands of stories every few minutes, and impossible to vote on just some "regular dudes" submission cause it will easily be lost in the frenzy of upcoming stories.
Actually, I think this can be somewhat corrected if Digg had a good spam filter. - RiperSnifle, on 11/02/2009, -1/+2Dad?
- nepidae, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Correct, however God has 5.

- patch6, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Yeah, this submitter's shamelessly copying the front-page reddit links; check out his history.

- Nitrodist88, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Too bad I don't go to Reddit.
Complaining about it won't stop it from happening.
Seriously.
So stop talking about. - Syugo, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1I think its the eyes...
