Just in case knuttz.net goes down, because of all that advertising, and/or you feel like supporting the artist who did the illustrations by going to his site directly. My apologies for the comment abuse. - GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+35Yea, I'm so sick and tired of all these people with their fancy "jobs". QUIT SUPPORTING YOUR FAMILY, *****.
- abid786, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Are these pics worth more than 1000 words, because they are pictures AND words?
- orientis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19No.
- xtmno3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Damned Ascii art!
- trenchMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12The original link has been pulled down...
Here is a link to the artist's site displaying his work:

- dralezero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Actuall link to the WORDS art. http://thomasbroome.se/mm2_1.htm
- monospaced, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7EvolvedAnt,
It is easy to create the wall texture made of words and apply them to a 3D model, but the care in hand-drawing them so that the words "end" exactly where he wants them and without true perspective warping, can hardly be simulated. If you think it's easy, put your money where your mouth is. - armbar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9"QTF."
Yoda here...QTF for "Quoted Truth Forthwith" stands. - ch0rn33, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6That artist has some great stuff . shouldnt be considered abuse if knuttz stole it just to put ads all over it.
- Fabozz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"Detailed illustrations made entirely with words"
Yes, those are called "books." We've had them for quite a while. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"As a level designer, I can create these images not only more accurately, but also in probably 1/4 the time. I simply create textures with words written across them such as a 'wall' and 'desk' texture. Then model the room with those textures and take a screenshot."
The difference between the original and what you're describing is the difference between a hand painted mural and wallpaper. - naisanza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3you guys see the windshield dust art? pretty.
http://knuttz.net/hosted_pages/Dusty-Windshields-20070122 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2snarky, yet insightful
- Jugalator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They use the sense of touch to imagine their surroundings suprisingly well. Well, not colors, but most other things, textures, and all that.
- S7evyn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All I can think about is how amazing that would be as a FPS.
- aberrantfunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I got an even better third line to that little poem:
Althought prior authorization was granted,
it was now voided by the artist.
**So, the page is gone.**
Feel free to browse the rest of the site - hiscity, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1don't know why this works in firefox and not IE, but here's the site on cache....
(ps. too many popups for unblocked)

- UNAgolf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very original!
- 48x48, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Althought prior authorization was granted,
it was now voided by the artist.
That's why this page is now gone.
Feel free to browse the rest of the site - BevansDesign, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, this guy sure has a nice house.
Drawings are nice too. :) - jmah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Toyota did an Australian ad like this, but in video form.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5V_0mG-8fvk - manova, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This kicks ascii art's ass.
- GRTWHT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@xoxuxox, thanks for that link.
I can't get to Knuttz from work and won't go there (knowingly) from home. - capitocapito, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I would buy that watch.
- Peynis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1we once had to draw a similar picture in school...
it's harder to do than it looks, and extremely time consuming
he did a good job, but the pictures themselves are pretty uninspired IMO - progy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the link is dead :(
- offput, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1RTFA or in this case LTFP (Look at the ***** pictures)
- built2spill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0At least that thieving site is now giving credit to the original artists. Still, I'd never link to knuttz.net.
- AmishRefugee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2wow, those are great
- seajayf, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Way cool!
- je12u, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I think it MAY not be as hard as you think...What if you draw the outlines of all the objects, write the words in to fit the space created, then erase the outlines.
- cocoy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1very impressive!
- bossmanthe, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Nice!
- implied, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0***** webserver.
- themarq, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7Oh look, it's the mating call of the untalented and uninspired.
Tell me Janus, what earth-shattering, world improving projects did you complete lately? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Heh, wow, didn't even notice that.
QFT* - oOLiquidNightOo, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4actually, i don't think this was an insult but more a clever observation "time on hands" ..
and, i'd have to agree. - EvolvedAnt, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2This is interesting artistically, but otherwise nothing too impressive.
As a level designer, I can create these images not only more accurately, but also in probably 1/4 the time. I simply create textures with words written across them such as a 'wall' and 'desk' texture. Then model the room with those textures and take a screenshot. - RealityCheque, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1If you have to explain that abbreviation, maybe you shouldn't use it to begin with.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -17/+2"No."
QTF. Best comment all day. - JanusAmon, on 10/12/2007, -37/+2This guy has way too much time on his hands.
